Much progress made this weekend. I need to go frame shopping for all the wall art I bought on Etsy and still need to put together the dresser. But it looks much more like a baby's room than my office now.
Had to hang the artwork....but it will look much better when the walls are painted the color we picked for her. The eeyore gray is not working for what we wanted
@PerraSucia Thanks! It's from Pottery Barn Kids. We saw it first, then the constellation blanket popped into my Etsy recs. After that, we knew our direction for the nursery was set.
Painting started yesterday...1/2 way done. The lavendar walls and trim are all set and they look great! The finishing steps are the 2 green walls and trim....so I am totally ready to see a finished paint job by Thursday night latest.....hoping for today but we do have dinner plans so that could put a hitch in getting it all done today. I was so pleased to see the progress this morning when I got up for work....it is really coming together. Wed I will order her wall decals...and then once those are in....FINISHED! Will still need the rug and floor lamp, but I may get those at the shower so I can wait considering I will have a few more items to set up after the shower happens, like her swing and bedding. Happy pregnant lady here lol
I really need to do some work on my nursery. I feel so behind when I read this thread. You ladies are doing a BEAUTIFUL job!!
We have decided on a theme, the crib is put together, sheets are being made (found the fabric so just cutting and adding the elastic), changing table is put together, and the glider and ottoman is ordered. I guess I'm further along than I thought. I'll post some pictures this weekend once I start arranging everything. Next goal: Identify nursery wall art and a mobile.

I just realized.....I absolutely need an ottomon pouf...they are adorable! I have never seen one until I browsed the nursery threads...maybe a pastel yellow one to go with the lavender walls...
Aw, nurseries :-( Bumming me out! You guys are doing a beautiful job but just making me sad because we are in the process of selling our house and it's taking forever :-p Not sure it'll happen before baby gets here which means I can't work on the nursery (we only have two bedrooms at the moment, ours and the boy's). I mean, she will be in our room for the first several months anyway like our son was (he was in there for 6 months) but still, would love to be able to work on the room. I know what I want in my mind at least (soft purples and grey/silver and white, stars and moons) so when we do get the house, hopefully i'll have the energy to get it done!

I want one too! I have been browsing some on Overstock and Wayfair so that may be a good place for you to start
Hi all, any recommendations for hanging a comforter on the wall? I'm looking for a solution that doesn't require craftiness and will preserve both the comforter and the wall to the greatest extent possible. Thanks for any suggestions.
Our animal heads arrived today... We're going to mount these on plaques painted/stained to match the crib. Hoping we can finalize our paint choice and get going now.
This is mine. This has been like a month of work. And that huge dresser topper thing weighs like 200 lbs. Not sure how that is getting to the curb! I feel overwhelmed now too!
@LilyASF42 - I'm in the same boat as you - we're renting for now but intend to purchase hopefully with a move in date in January... but because of that I haven't even started really dreaming about what her room will be like. Maybe if I go register or at least walk around Babys R Us I'll get ideas and inspiration...

The painting is 90% done. The color on the left is actually a light lavender purple, but my idiot phone takes terrible pictures and distorts colors. The green looks about right but isn't as dull as the picture makes it look. I love the way it is coming out. We did our long walls lavender and the 2 short walls are green.
We have things finally coming along. I need to get linens, a floor plant and a standing lamp and one of those Ikea cube shelve things and then I'm done!
@PerraSucia I'm about to ask all the questions, so I'm sorry. But what is the paint color of the walls? and where did you get your glider/recliner? and is that the babyletto hudson crib? Also, if it is the babyletto crib, what mattress did you get?
@perrasucia I think we've got a similar aesthetic. Same furniture and wall color and I'm planning on plants too. I wish I had the wood floors like you do. What floor plant are you going with?
@srscott3 haha thanks! I have to look up the paint, I think it's called "sparrow" but that may be what my living room is. My house is 50 shades of grey on accident.
my huge ass chair came from the macy's home store on clearance.. It's basically amazing and has a USB port to plug in your phone to charge it. We've both slept in it multiple times.
And yes! Babyletto Hudson in natural. We already had the Nook Air for DS. I actually know nothing about this other than it was a fancy mattress and I for it for 80% off at a liquidation sale, but it totally fits perfectly.
@homemake I was thinking a snake plant in a basket or something else hard to kill. I'd love to do another fiddle fig leaf but they're such fickle bitches. It's basically impossible to kill a rubber tree, but they're so dark relative to everything else in the room.
We have finally decided on a colour scheme! This will be DD2, and our first daugther's room is black and white with hits of bright pink. She also has some woodsy items like a pinecone mobile and wooden art on the wall.
For DD2, we are doing black/white again (the previous owner left us the black heart decals on the wall, per my request). But this time we'll do hits of peach and turquoise. Here are some random pieces of artwork I have put together to add colour to the room.

I have a 9ft fiddle leaf in my bedroom that I am barely keeping alive...long story.
I am thinking of doing another one in the nursery but around 4ft tall instead, that or a rubber fig.

I found this the other day and fell in love with the saying. I'm going to make one simular, and plan the nursery around it
