@MRSCORKER my underdstanding is bouncing on the yoga ball just helps your hips/the LO get into the right position. Not necessarily start labor. I think you are safe.

@MRSCORKER I've been sitting/bouncing on my yoga ball since 34 ish weeks because it's the only comfy way to sit. Still no signs of labor. I think it encourages it if your body is ready, but it won't send you into early labor for no reason.
@MRSCORKER my birthing class instructor has had us sitting on balls during class the past two weeks and I'm the furthest along there, so I think you're likely fine. I think it doesn't start labor so much as help with positioning. If it helps you get comfy than go for it!

I got my first flu shot ever today at the doctor. All for the baby. I am all about routine vaccines, but I've just never gotten a flu shot (or the flu, knock on wood). But they said it's a dead virus, not a weakened one, and it'll pass to the baby soooooo I went with it.

Speaking of muffins, DH made muffins the other morning before my appointment. There were 6. I ate 2 and he ate 2 and then I was going to take one to work. We go to leave for the appointment and there are 0 muffins left. I thought DH ate them but then it turns out that our dog, Bama, only thought it was fair for him to have 2 muffins also.
@AllyTheKid - Umm, maybe you missed the part where that clown was holding a sickle. That's dis for those of you who are unfamiliar with farming equipment.
So, HELL NO, I ain't gonna talk to them! I wouldn't talk to ANYONE randomly holding a sickle, dressed as a scary clown or not!
@AshleyGemini24 - Yeah, I've never heard of a cervix "dropping." Along with dilating and effacing, I know it also moves from a posterior to an anterior position for labor, but I think that's about all the tricks it has up its sleeve.
@nlane0723 - I completely missed the update about your boys yesterday. I hope things are moving right along for you guys this morning and you'll be safely cleared to go home soon!
@bamacoop We have named all of our pets after country music singers so his full name is "Alabama" (obviously after the band) but I know Bama fans are obsessed with his name
Speaking of food, I bought a bag of Reese's PB cups on Sunday. A bag has 14 cups. I said to my husband "I'll eat one a day and I'll probably make it until baby comes."
Hahahaha! Yeah, I ate the last one this morning. (In my defense, my husband ate at least half of them.)
@CopperBoom86 I wouldn't be able to NOT attempt to speak to a clown with a sickle. I can't explain the logic (or lack thereof) behind that, but I would just feel obligated to "assess, approach, inquire".
@emmaaa SOOOOOO CUTE!!!! I'm super jealous of everyone with dogs! We can't have one in our condo, and DH (and everyone else for that matter) are against me getting one when our house is finished because I "won't want a newborn AND a puppy to deal with" blahblahblah. YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE!
Also-- Y'ALL!!! I just double checked my appointment email, and my Thursday OB appointment isn't until 2:45pm!!!! So I just ate my breakfast for Thursday! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
(But you know, whatevs. Friday is payday, so I'll just eat Friday's muffin on Thursday and then go to Starbucks or Dunkin on Friday.)
And plus- I just ate two huge-ass chocolate muffins and a can of Coke and it's just now 9:30. Either I'm going to have the best day ever, or I'm gonna have a sugar crash in two hours. I'll keep you posted!
I just decided to eat all my snacks and lunch. It's 10:54am here. Now I'm going to have to go out later and get something else. I don't think I can make it through the afternoon without a snack.

Yesterday, it was all over the gossip land that Radar Online is going to break a story about a major A-List celebrity and family man who raped and abused child actor Corey Haim in the 80s.
Today, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.
Are they related? No idea. But still totally crazy.

It doesn't feel right that Brad is the culprit with Cory - he would have been 17 in 1980 and even though that doesn't make him automatically innocent, I just feel it would be someone older, more of a fatherly figure to have done something horrific that requires trust

@LauraPCOS that's a good point about Brad's age vs. the Corey Haim thing. I'm betting it's not him (my thought when I read the blind item was Travolta) but the timing of the two stories got me thinking.
Ultimate UO - I was never a big fan of the Brad and Jen thing. I always felt like she seemed to do better without him, even though the media painted her as a the perpetual mourning woman.
@scostel2 - ugh, I HATE that all the gossip rags made Jen out to be "poor Jen!" Brad may have been the "heartthrob" guy for our generation but he's still just some dude. Whatever.

I bought double chocolate muffins for breakfast....which are basically just chocolate cake.
I have an early OB apt on Thursday, so I won't be eating my muffin that day; I'll be eating something else.
So that means I have one muffin too many..... an extra muffin......
Guess I'll just have to bite that bullet and eat two muffins today.
