It's definitely frustrating, I keep thinking things are progressing because I'll feel a little crampy or have a ton of BH but then it all goes away maybe @AllyTheKids baby dance is all we were missing though haha
@MRSCORKER We are having a very slow baby movement day over here too. Unfortunately this baby has a pattern of having a day or more of little movement and then is a nut for two days. I never know what to do!
My LO has been like that for months! It's nerve wracking the closer we get to the end.
Same here. My OB said 10 movements a day- so if I feel him start to be active then I figure we are okay. We've had a bunch of NST and he always performs well with movements and heart rate. I just figure there is less room to move at this point. His body also creates a lot of pressure which I feel like are movements
I'm so glad someone else's OB said ten a day. It makes me a little paranoid when I hear people talk about ten in an hour and I get to sit around all day waiting for my ten!
Congratulations to all the mamas!! The adorable pictures are making me so impatient!
Ten an hour seems like a lot. Mine had said ten in an hour during his "active times". They sleep a lot of the day in there, so I know there were hours when I really wouldn't feel any movement at all. Makes you paranoid for sure!
+1 to the period cramps. I really want to believe it's my body getting ready for labor but then I'm like "...is this gas? Contractions? The half bag of Doritos I ate at 11pm last night?" I haven't had my cervix checked yet so I really have no idea what's going on in there.
@Sprinkels28 Oh no, I can't imagine kidney stones on top of being overwhelmingly pregnant! Hope everything is ok.
@suzy311, I called and my labs aren't back yet. Thankfully I work at the hospital here so I asked a doc for some antibiotics.. I could not wait for labs to confirm.
Well fellow FTMs, when they say that you'll know when you're in real labor and when your water breaks, they're so right! Woke up at 11:30 pm after about an hour of sleep (ugh) having my first legit contractions. They were inconsistent but at times as frequent as every 2 minutes, so the on call OB told me to head into L&D around 3am. I was so disappointed to find I hadn't really progressed and was still about 2cm and 80%. It was so hard to cope with the contractions in the little triage room, and when checked an hour later I was about the same. Since I'm 40+6, the lovely nurse stretched me to a 4 and they admitted me. I had planned on trying to labor without an epidural for awhile, but I ended up getting one as soon as I could and I'm so glad! As I was getting it, my water broke, some of it on DHs foot! He hates needles and ended up having to leave feeling faint, but the nurse was wonderful and it wasn't too bad. Now I'm just waiting around hoping to dilate more, apparently baby's face is a bit to the side so my progress has been slow. FX he gets moving and I don't end up needing a c section!
Hats off to you @AllyTheKid. That definitely brightened my day If the baby comes tonight, I'm giving you all the credit.
Since I'm 41 weeks tomorrow, testing and monitoring begin bright and early at 7:45 am. Wooooo. /sarcasm. Maybe they'll take pity on me and just send me over to L&D.
I wish they would @AllyTheKid! I'm GBS+ so they can't/won't My midwife did say she stretched me from a 2cm to 3 at my last appointment. Maybe she can just keep stretching, lol.
Alright, @AllyTheKid, you are some kind of sorcerer because my water broke at 3:30 this morning and we're all checked in at the hospital! It's baby go time!
@AllyTheKid Your baby dance may not have sent me into labor but I've finally made some progress toward labor!! So I'll give you the credit! I was 0's across the board last week...1/2 cm and 60% effaced today. Scheduled induction for Monday just in case.

@AllyTheKid - Please add me to your now daily baby dance routine. I literally slept 40 minutes last night thanks to preggo insomnia and my mostly numb hands have decided to now feel deep throbbing pain through my fingers. I just want it to be over! (And, have my little on the outside finally!)
