Now that many of us are finding out the sex of our babies, it's time to start thinking about nurseries! What are you guys doing? Themes, colors, entire wings of the house? I've recently returned to Pinterest after a long hiatus just to plan this little one's nursery. So long to our guest room!

Re: The Nursery Thread
All the kid's rooms are themes based on different books. I wanted to do a Harry Potter room but DH convinced me to wait until they are old enough to appreciate it.

However the other night at BBB, I fell in love with a grey/white elephant set up. We've called the baby Peanut since my BFP and it's hard to focus my attention elsewhere. Once furniture is ordered, I may revisit the theme with DH.
DD just got upgraded to the guest room which we remodeled for her so the new baby can move straight into the nursery as is.
I'm thinking either planes (DH loves WW2 airplanes) or sports for a boy (but just one at time). I can also see DH finding Star Wars decor for the nursery too. For a girl I'm thinking frilly and soft. We were married last year and I still have a lot of sparkly stuff left over that I can re-purpose. Whatever we do will be minimal until we move.

We are doing a western theme and I managed to find this green. It matches either gender's set perfectly! All of the other walls are a tan. We ripped out the old nasty carpet last night and were shocked to see beautiful hardwood floor from the original house (1950's era). We decided to put carpet in half of the room to cover the spots that don't have the hardwood and keep the rest exposed. I was SO glad the carpet was glued down!!!! P.S. Im not done with the trim on the green.. I promise I dont have pregnancy brain THAT bad haha...
southwestern nod. I made a dreamcatcher mobile and her quilt has some tribal prints.
We we don't know the sex of this one yet, but I have a plan anyway. We will probably do the same light gray and have mint as well- since the glider sofa chair is mint. I want to bring in branches and make a mobile with branches and birds. I'll probably put up some cute animal photos and decorate with rusty orange accents. We don't do bedding sets. Just a few mattress sheets and my mom will make a cute quilt.

Now for this bubba im thinking a grey, teal and white or grey, coral and white if it's a girl although the teal would be fine for a girl too, can't decide and don't find out for another 16 days boo! Was thinking a chevron wall but I have no desire to do all that work
Our anatomy scan is next Thursday, I CANNOT wait!!!
Girl colors: white, grey, light pastel pink, with bright coral accents
Boy colors: white, grey, light pastel blue, with bright orange accents
Couple of inspirational pictures for now since we're not actually decorating until we move into our new house:
I love this thread!! This is the inspiration for our nursery:
The walls might be a tad darker grey (no stars) and I want artwork like @sagoon for the walls. I want a more calming rug for the room as well. I can't wait to get started. Mostly I want a calming, relaxing and clean looking space to start out with as I know it is going to become filled with tons of kids stuff!

With my first, our nursery is a buttery yellow color so we brought in grey accents. A few elephants depending on what sheet is on the mattress and in the mobile but otherwise pretty basic. We have decided that it will be easier to move my son to the guest room and redo that room and keep the nursery the same (no need to move the crib and changing table and chair). Still trying to decide how we will decorate his new room but need to get on that so it's not too close to baby's arrival. Also, may add some slightly more feminine touches to the grey and yellow if we find out this one is a girl
We're moving into a new house and will re do his room in a vintage transportation theme. He's currently obsessed with cars, airplanes and trains!
The new nursery will be the same gray, and I've picked whales whether it's a boy or girl! I just love whales, I think they're adorable. Our wedding theme was nautical so we have some cute decor left over that I think will work great as well. We will stick with navy blue and white as accent colors, and throw in light pink if it's a girl.
This is gives me a neutral base for my penchant for ridiculous amounts of mixed art. Gallery walls 4ever! Mixed metals, lots of texture.

@AshleySparkle720 I love the first one
We have a lot of grays and blues in our house already and the nursery gets great light, so I want to keep the colors crisp and bright. Thinking mostly white or a cooler bright gray with pops of saturated colors, eg, greens or blues. No real theme, but I have a couple of prints/fabrics in mind that I will probably use as a jumping off point.
@AshleySparkle720 I prefer the second one but you really can't go wrong with either!

This is kinda along those lines:
I'm not a huge fan of tons of color so a gender neutral nursery is perfect! We are doing a grey crib with white furniture and animal accents in the room. Now that we're having a boy I might throw in a little blue in there too! I love the baby animal prints from online and want to frame a bunch for the wall to bring it all together. We're hopefully finally buying a house in the next couple of months so for now I need to stick to pinterest and planning until we move!
If it's a girl, I'd like to do either an owl theme or a woodland creatures theme. I may actually do woodland creatures, with an emphasis on owls. The best of both worlds!
Edited because I forgot a word, but then remembered it.
