Re: Weekly Symptoms Thread 8/1/16

  • @LauraPCOS that sounds like normal pregnancy swelling. My feet are pretty swollen at the end of the day but as long as I'm drinking enough water it goes down by morning.

  • I agree with @NicholeL16 and @MRSCORKER... Use you're baseline to measure your normal, and what you have sounds like typical swelling. If you're super worried, I'd maybe run to a drug store and use one of the blood pressure machines to make sure your BP isn't high, just to ease your mind.
  • Does anyone else feel a random vibrating sensation in the lower uterus / pelvis area? I feel very fast vibrating that lasts a couple of seconds and has been happening about every 10-15 minutes or so for the last 2-3 hours. Very strange, but after a quick google it appears normal... This is the strangest feeling!!

  • @Pupatella- haven't had it happen recently, but I've had it before. I just assumed it was little feet/hands getting crazy :)
  • @Pupatella Had that a couple of weeks ago and assumed the same as @bnsmith85. Now I just have some hard kicks/punches to the bladder and cervix.

  • Woke up to some serious cramping... nothing more than period cramps but I haven't felt this since the 1st tri. I'll admit I was a little freaked.

  • I bet you were scared @sportiegrl1213. Definitely call your doctor if you think it's anything more, but I had what felt like cramping a few weeks ago (would come and go) and it was growing pains according to the RN bc It wasn't BH based on the feel/what everyone describes BH as. Water helped with that
  • @Pupatella When I feel vibrating like that it's usually hiccups!  When I get the vibrations, I notice they are in a rhythmic pattern, like hiccups would be.

  • I can't identify anything that would be considered BH up to this point but today I noticed a lot of my stomach feels like my muscles are all stretched. Like when you do new exercises/stretches and the next day your achey like you overstretched? That feeling. Wondering if its just the growing belly or the bumpy roads or both. Hah.

  • @bnsmith85 I think I may call. The cramping has been consistent since I woke up at 430. No spotting or bleeding but I'm still a little nervous.

  • Woke up to some serious cramping... nothing more than period cramps but I haven't felt this since the 1st tri. I'll admit I was a little freaked.
I was woke up by very strong and painful BH and back pain this morning at about 2:20, which hasn't happened to me before until now. TMI, but I went to go pee and there was a glob of mucous in the toilet when I was done. I curled up in the fetal position in bed and laid there for an hour counting contractions wondering if I was going into preterm labor and needed to wake up FI. Thankfully it calmed down and I fell back asleep (AFTER chugging a bottle of water). Seriously stay hydrated ladies. Your water needs are no joke and not exaggerated!
  • @sportiegrl1213 Hopefully it's nothing major. Keep us updated!

Chugging water as I type! I'm gonna wait and see if that helps a bit before I call the dr.

  • @sportiegrl1213

I wake up cramping at least twice a week and my doctor says it's just due to my uterus being small and everything stretching out. Pretty sure it's common but you can always call your doctor to get peace of mind!
  • @sportiegrl1213 Take it easy and keep us updated!
  • @fitlady21 I've had the cramping like that but this has been nonstop for almost 4 hrs. That's the part that's freaking me out. I feel my little guy moving so it may be him trying to get comfy.

I will say that my cramping was off and on for a few days and would last only like 30 mins tops... Until the day it lasted for HOURS. Which was what prompted the email over to the Dr. If I remember correctly, after that one bad day, the cramps were gone the next day or the day after, completely.

  • good @sportiegrl1213! FX everything's okay!
  • @sportiegrl1213 - keep us posted. I also had period cramping some over the past few weeks, but my doctor said if there was no bleeding or anything else out of the ordinary, I could assume it was stretching. Calling the doctor should give you peace of mind though!

At what point do y'all get nervous when you notice decreased movement? Baby has been transverse (sideways) for the past several weeks. I think maybe she finally flipped and that's why the movements are different. I used to feel her high and and from the outside pretty regularly for the past few weeks. The past several days however, her movements are really more muffled and slight. She used to be most active around lunch and dinner, but that's no longer the case and it's more sporatic. Last night I did a kick count and got to 10 in about half an hour, but they aren't quite as pronounced as they had been. This morning I put some music on my belly and she moved a good bit. So I'm not nervous...at least not as nervous as I was prior to last evening. Is it only if I stop feeling movement all together that I should call? Also, I think she's flipped because I'll feel movements in my pelvis and my hips have started to really hurt since Saturday and my belly just feels heavier.

  • I had some really painful cramping when I was driving the other day. It worried me enough that I rushed to a bathroom to make sure nothing crazy was happening. It only lasted a few minutes though. Rest, hydrate, and don't be afraid to call your Dr/MW . That's what they are there for.
  • I have a spot near my belly button that is very hard to the touch compared to the rest of my belly since last night. We have an US today, and I'm interested to see what part of baby is sitting there to cause that.

    FX crossed for you @sportiegrl1213

That's where Baby B hangs out- one side of my belly button or the other.  The nurse during my last appointment guessed it was his butt  :D

  • If I knew where my little guy's butt was I probably would be patting it all the time! Lol

*UPDATE* Just spoke with my nurse and I they want me to continue to hydrate as much as I can in the next hour or so and see if that helps. If nothing changes ---- I'm off to the hospital.  :/

I've never been in the bathroom this much!
