  • @suzy311 I feel you! but my boss gets me so who cares what other may think :)

  • @bnsmith85 It made me so mad! Almost as mad as my horribly structured sentences are making me. That post needs serious editing, I can only tolerate the word 'and' so many times. No more sleepy posting for me.
I just wrote an email at work with too many "and"s and thought of you. Definitely had to go back and edit that one!

  • @ibabyloveb87 I am seriously considering converting to text lingo until after babe is here and my brain gets its shit together... that way it will be acceptable to appear illiterate  :|
  • @AllyTheKid Bahahaha... What's so funny is that I find things like bc instead of because or gonna (but only in the right context) acceptable, but when people use things like imma (instead of I'm going to), r u, and 2 constantly I instantly judge. Then I try to remember that I have a friend who is very intelligent but uses a lot of abbreviations like that... Sooo I should probably not judge. Lol
  • I've been having several good days followed by a day where I can barely function I'm so tired. I feel like my tired days are also low activity days for baby. Anyone else notice that?

I have noticed this as well. When I'm tired, LO is too!

  • Anyone else really struggling with getting comfortable sitting down?  I feel like most chairs cause some back pain to flare up and I cannot get comfortable.  It sucks!!
My office chair causes me tail bone pain and I cannot get comfortable! I worked from home today and feel so much better.

  • @Blonde1817 my lower back is killing me. I'm going to try to take a pillow to work and stuff it behind me in my chair and see if that'll help give me some support.

Also my belly is sore on the underside. It's like I did a bunch of crunches which I obviously did not do, but sometimes just rolling over in bed hurts. Is this something anyone else is feeling?! It doesn't feel like the RLP I had been having previously but I'm sure it just has to do with all the growing.

    Agreed
  • Right this minute heart burn and insomnia
  • @ibabyloveb87 yeah I've got that going on too. It's really annoying and uncomfortable.

  • attention @sportiegrl1213 and any other heartburn sufferers

my doctor prescribed me "protonix" (the generic anyway) and I've taken it the last 2 nights. one pill before bed and I have not had a single tums.

only downside? normally I have to poop 4 times a day and now I'm constipated, so get some
miralax too :) but for no heartburn I will gladly take this
  • I will DEFINITELY have to call and ask my dr about that @mrszoess. I found a Dexalant pill at the bottom of my purse (yeah I know gross, but extreme times call for extreme measures LOL), I cleaned it off and took it 2 days ago and still no heartburn. So I know that there are meds that work wonders. I'll see if they can change my script to try Protonix. Thanks for the tip!  :)

  • @sportiegrl1213 any time, I wouldn't wish this on anyone, just don't forget a laxative bc if this constipated me and my daily diarrhea god help everyone else
  • My upper back is so tight and painful. I can't ever get comfortable. It's making me so grumpy. On the flip side, I'm going to be late for work because I'm laying here watching the baby move my entire belly. It's so amazing.
Have you tried going to the chiropractor? I've been going once a week and it's glorious. Last night, he adjusted my neck and  upper back and it feels so much better!

  • @MRSCORKER I never had but I absolutely would. Maybe I can get a referral from my midwife.
  • I think I'm developing SPD. I look like a fool trying to swing my leg forward while walking.

  • Got another vicious cramp that wouldn't go away without electrocution (TENS machine) last night. I think it was from walking around with my mom shopping - it wasn't that long, but I did get very hot and sweaty, and I did drink water and try to rehydrate once I was home, but it could still not have been enough.

That and every single morning I get up, sit down at my computer, and think "is it bedtime yet? I'm sooo tired..."

  • @mrscorker beat me to it ;) Second for the chiropractor recommendation. It really works wonders in keeping things loose. @NicholeL16
  • I'm sorry to be the annoying person who has to say this (and I know I've said it before), but please be VERY careful when choosing a chiropractor, ESPECIALLY while pregnant. Chiropractors are NOT doctors and many choose that path because they were too quack to get an MD. Also, pregnancy changes your spine, so MAKE SURE they have a certification in prenatal chiropractics!!
    @ashleyp625 @MRSCORKER @NicholeL16

This is a good point! I made sure my chiropractor was certified and cleared it with my OB first.

    Same.
  • I woke up with the most awful leg cramp in my calf last night. I never have leg cramps! I woke up and started yelling "Ow ow ow ow." I really scared DH because he got up and was ready to take me to the hospital. I had to calm him down and tell him it was just a leg cramp and I was okay. But then it took hours to completely go away

  • @emaaa ouch!! Try flexing your toes up toward the ceiling, it makes mine go away instantly! I scared DH last night too because I sat up suddenly. Of course he's like "what's wrong?!". Just trying not to choke on my acid reflux dear.

  • @NicholeL16 You might also try laying back on an exercise/yoga ball. I had a lot of problems with my upper back before I had DD and my chiropractor suggested that as something I could do at home. It really helped and I liked that I could do it whenever I needed.
@emmaaa That happened to me last week and it was the most painful thing ever! To make matters worse, I had sore calves for days afterward.
  • A little late, I've been on protonix for a.couple years and throughout my pregnancy, it is a MUST!

I credit it for no nausea or morning sickness as well as no heartburn.
  • Ugh another with the leg cramps here. Mine kept moving around, so if I stretched my calf, my shin would cramp, or my toes. It was nuts. If I didn't have a TENS machine I would have had to wake my husband up to rub it for me because there was no getting it out myself.

  • @samkins it's from God himself. day 2 no tums.

I think sudden and severe swelling can be a sign of Pre-E. I was told to watch for swelling that is "out of ordinary". That's different for everyone though do if you're concerned, call your doc!

  • Holy constipation! Gah! This is the worst I've ever had it. I called the OB today and ended up with 3 capfuls of miralax, 2 suppositories, and an enema with minimal relief. I am so uncomfortable. If it gets worse throughout the night I have to go in to the ER, but I really don't want to. It will not be pleasant (not that what I'm going through currently is, but still). It just is so painful to even attempt to go to the bathroom. If I end up having to go in I'm going to need an epidural for this.

I wasn't concerned until I talked to my mom (thanks mom!! Lol).  It's just my feet and ankles at the end of the day, and my fingers/hands - but I'm a sign language interpreter so I get the swelling in the hands, and with the feet/ankles it's so hot! The swelling is either completely gone or at least extremely improved in the mornings after being off my feet for 6-8 hours so I'm taking that as a good sign.  I see my doc on Monday but I'll have to remember to mention it.

  • @LauraPCOS It sounds like that's your normal so I would use that as your baseline and if it ever differs, say it doesn't go away by morning or is twice as bad as usual, that would be an indication to call. Your doc is monitoring your BP and most likely your urine for proteins already so he/she will tell you what to look out for.

I'm no doctor but I dont think so. From what I understand, you would have elevated BP and protein in your urine. I've never had it so maybe a BTDT mom can weigh in.
