Up until now ive just been sick & not wanting to eat a lot.........today its like a switch has been flipped and i need ALL of the food! Despite snacking all morning I am still hungry!

My dog got into a brawl this weekend with another big dog and it was terrible. His nose is all cut up now. DS had been playing with the collar so when DH went to pull our dog back he slipped right out of it. Even worse, when the collar slipped off him it snapped back in DD's face who had a big red mark on the side of her face after. Awesome. 

DS therapists are starting to hint at him having an underlying mood disorder in addition to his autism and are beginning to suggest possibly medicating him as a form of treatment (once a diagnosis has officially been made.) In the meantime, his ABA therapy will be increased and there is a new child mental health specialist coming here in a few hours. Soon, once he turns six, he will be retested including the neuropsych eval, so we'll see I guess. The icing on the cake: DD, who turns four next month, is still refusing to potty train. I'm worried and drained.

Our vet thinks the loss of appetite was just because it has been so hot and we were over feeding him. She also had us do a deworming just to be safe. His appetite is definitely coming back since we reduced the amount of food. We're going to keep brushing his teeth and hold off on the dental for now. It's just too scary and this weepy pregnant lady can't deal. The vet said waiting until after the baby comes wouldn't really change anything. Thanks for asking!

We spent the weekend with family and had some relatives stay at our house over the weekend.  Now, I'm not pointing fingers but we have never, ever had roaches.  We've been in this house for almost 2 years and haven't seen a single one.  Yesterday, 3 appeared out of the blue and I am freaking out.  This is not a problem we need right now and I'm feverishly searching for a solution to this.

@Jab3 that SUCKS about your dog. I've been through it twice and I get so mad when people let their dogs bound around free and come running up to mine like, "oh, he's friendly!" Yeah? Well my 80lb pit bull/boxer might bite his face off. Did you think about that? (Probably not - she's very sweet and those incidents were 7-8 years ago. But still - stupid!)

Big agree! My dog looks like he wouldn't harm a fly, but he needs slow introductions to other dogs. People without a reactive dog just don't understand his careful the rest of us need to be.

Xstatic3333, I'm so glad to hear his appetite is coming back! I know it's so nerve wracking when something is wrong with them because they can't really tell us. And it's so true what you said, MommaBean said it too, wtf are some people thinking? Same reason we've drilled it into our kids that you NEVER approach a dog or try to pet it without asking the owner if it's okay first.

@jab3 maybe he was still on edge with the scuffle with the other dog and that's why he acted that way?  Maybe after a little more time he will calm back down.  I am sorry about your DS stuff too, I have no advice but offer hugs and know that the professionals will send you in the right direction.

@xstatic3333 I am glad he started eating more.  sounds like he could be on the mend.
