Has anyone seen the new Ghost Busters? My 5 1/2 year old boy has been obsessed with the original for over a year now, and I'm wondering if the new one is too crass or graphic. He is not scared of the 1989 ghosts, but he's a weirdo and still 5.
Thank you, @FishyMom ! Wow! Ok I had no idea that I would need those shots even during the 1st pregnancy. And I also didn't know you need it if you bleed, too. I'm going to look into this further. Thanks for the info!!
I think I just felt the baby move. Was laying in bed couldn't sleep. I started feeling these random twitches across my belly. Almost like a cramping. I'm not sure though, it my 1st pregnancy. I'd like to think it was the baby.
RhoGam is for negative Rh moms. After I had the first shot I asked if DH's blood could be tested and if he was neg I could forego the shot- no dice. It's pretty painful and stings for a couple days. At least in my experience. My MW administers them as a precaution whenever there is a bleed in pregnancy. With DD2 (TW) I had just had a very early mc, so I had one then. Then, at the beginning of second tri I had a major bleed (poke) and then a few bleeds until 20 weeks or so (another poke). Then the standard pokes with GD test and after delivery. I hate that shot.

@peachesnbean when you say "bleed" what kind of bleed are you talking about? Bleeding from your vagina for some reason?
Yep. Unfortunately I had some major unexplained bleeding with DD2. Any chance that fetal and maternal blood can mix outside of the 6 week window of the rhogam administration the MW ordered a poke.

@peachesnbean wow it's been a lonnnnnng time since I last saw that video! I wonder how old that kid is now. More importantly, I can NEVER get YouTube to embed here! I'm actually pretty good with HTML, but it never seems to work here! Tell me all your secrets!
@AfKash not to like pee in your Cheerios but as a ftm you probably won't feel movement until after 16-17 weeks and it feels more like bubbles popping than cramping
Ugh, I hate the rhogam shot. I had to have it with my mc earlier this year, and then I'll have to have it again at 28 weeks, and after birth...I'm not excited about it. It hurt like a mother.
I feel so bad leaving my daughter even though there is no reason to. She loves being home but she will also love being at the daycare centre. I believe kids will do fine at home or in daycare.
I have pretty much decided on the centre that my sister works in. (She is the one in charge of the room my daughter is in) A home daycare was my first option but travel wise this is easier. I can't believe I am finding this so hard. I went back to work part time when my middle child was just over 1 and I didn't feel this awful. I think it's because this is my baby and maybe my last. Letting go now is the beginning of a lot of letting go to come.
McDonalds is what's for lunch. Not even mad about it. Yesterday and today's nausea have been manageable, so I'm eating while I can! Salty fries were calling my name today. DS doesn't seem to mind either.
@marriedhamstermom - Are you diagnosed as Hypo or Hyper? Whose managing your Thyroid? That seems really low... But Thyroids are very intricate and sometimes the numbers look scary but overall it's still ok. Your T4 is good though!

@LaurenAshley04 my thyroid was removed so I just rely on the medication. My endocrinologist is looking at the numbers and she says they are OK and that being on the hyperthyroid side won't harm the baby so I'm just going to believe her and try to relax. I know I get tired when my levels get too high so I thought maybe there was a point when they get too low that would also make me tired but she says that it's just the pregnancy hormone that is causing my fatigue. Hoping I get a 2nd trimester energy boost in a couple weeks!

I didn't think the rhogam shots were too bad.. maybe bc I'm desensitized to it (I get it after every bleeding episode which happened multiple times already with past pregnancies and this one too) or maybe my butt is just flab. Lol! I just got one at my last ER visit and I knew more about the shot (placement, the little card I was supposed to get, etc.) than the nurse did.. real reassuring.
