Checking emails at 4 am cause pregsomnia. My mom had sent me one with like 10 smiley faces. I asked her "why so happy". She listed multiple reasons then ended with "and I have a son in law who is pretty much perfect for my grandbaby". I should think that's sweet, but my irrational hormonal pregnant brain is thinking "pretty much?!? whats wrong with him?!"
I just woke myself up peeing the bed. Didn't smell but I drink a ton of water and really had to pee, so I am pretty sure it's pee. I'll watch and go to doc if I have to... But pretty dang sure it's pee. Awesome.
@yellowrose314 that's some of the craziest ish I've ever heard. There are plenty of cats that need adoption in shelters, maybe she should try there instead of shopping the neighbor’s pets. Just a thought.
@OBMommy omg, good luck. I would have clocked that doctor.
@toimadness1 I read the whole thing Sunday. I liked it despite that it was different format and thus a relatively limited world/ characters. Might have been hard to enjoy to anyone who is less familiar with the original books since it refers to them quite a bit. In other words, I agree with folks who say it feels kind of like we'll executed fan fiction (which it sort of is). What did you think?
Oh no, @PSUBecky23 rough night!! Please tell me you get a little bit of time to rest today? (Or at least a tiny slice of peace and quiet?) But major props to you for getting up to work out!!
Hi ladies- It's 3am and I'm up pumping. Guess I'm a real mom now!! Lurking and wanted to give an update:
Here Finley is breast feeding! They're so impressed he is doing well sucking/breathing/swelling at this point. It almost seems like he knew my body needed to have him early so he rushed his development in there. I've already learned more about strength and resilience from him than I have from anyone else in my lifetime.
@UnwritteN12 You are in my thoughts!! Congrats on the "birthday" notice. Enjoy and relish in these last inside moments for the time being. I'm very excited for you!!
@Shiva14 usually the paperwork for government benefits require "household" incomes, so if the parents as living together, dad's money is still taken into account. So in order to collect the lions share of the money on the table, you need to be not only unmarried, but not living together.
I have a pregnant cousin who just broke up with her fiancé and went to apply for assistance and was denied because she's moved in with her father.
@yellowrose314 Just now catching up and seeing your post about the cat drama!! What the heck?! Hopefully the crazy cat lady gets evicted and you don't have to worry anymore!! Keep your blinds closed so she can't peek in!
My random: Saw dr yesterday and I'm continuing the procardia until August 11. I'm 3cm and 75%, so still progressing despite the meds. She thinks I'll go into labor after the first missed dose, if I don't go into labor while on it! So, I very possibly could be having a baby next weekend!!
@Steephers123 It's super exciting but nerve racking too! On the 11th, I'll be 36w3d. Not incredibly early, and definitely better than the 32w6d I was when I went into preterm labor, but still not full term. She is, and has been, measuring 3 weeks ahead this entire pregnancy though so they are already estimating her at 6.5/7lbs. So with another week, she will probably be 7.5ish.
My son was over 8lbs at 38weeks so I just make bigger babies I suppose!
I missed so much last night! Hopefully I hit everyone I wanted to reply to (I'm sure I'm going to forget some.)
@UnwritteN12 Yay for an official baby day! One week is so close! I'll be waiting anxiously all day the 10th for an update. (No pressure.)
@mom2adoodle He is such a little champ! I love all his hair, and I'm so glad to hear things are still going well!
@yellowrose314 Wow. Just so much crazy. I'm sorry you're dealing with it, and I hope they evict the neighbors soon.
@Themaritimemama Sorry about your bad day. Hope your DH and car are okay and that the meds bring your BP down. Glad they're being proactive with steroid shots, just in case, though.
@marikkita12 Glad to hear your mom is doing better and it wasn't a stroke!
@reesaXden I can definitely see the nerve wracking part too! I know nothing about procardia, how come the dr is taking you off next week, is that standard?
@reesaXden I understand being nervous. I would be too. But you'll do great and by the sounds of it she's going to be a good weight when she's born. Hoping for the best! Good luck!
@mom2adoodle yay Finley! He looks like a pro! Hope he continues to do so well! He's adorable.
@Steephers123, I'm not exactly sure what the standard is. When I started it she said I would take it until 36w. The 11th is 36w3d, so a bit further than she intially stated but that was my choosing. I have an appointment and ultrasound that day so I wanted to make sure everything is going smoothly before stopping it.

That sucks that she can't get the assistance she needs due to that. The couple I am thinking of just gets around that by only including one person on the lease and disclosing household income as her income only (working part time a "single" mother to 3 kids).
@Mom2adoodle, congrats on the successful breastfeeding! That's hard for anyone, but especially for a preemie. You and Fin are doing so great!
@ReesaXden, I had my son at 36 weeks with no steroid shots and at 6 lbs. He had no NICU and went home with me two days later. I hope that if baby comes, you have the same experience. There's certainly reason to be hopeful!
@mom2adoodle Love the photo and love seeing how well Finley is doing!
Random: I'm currently on a trip away from my DH which I normally do regularly and have no problem. Well ladies who mentioned being overly attached to their husband now I totally understand what you mean! I am currently counting down the hours and minutes until I see him tonight and last night was ridiculous with how much I missed him. I've done this loads of times no issues, this trip all I want is DH! Thankfully he apparently had the same thing happen and is ready for me to be home too. Only 3 more hours and I get to head home!

This reminds me of when DH and I were engaged. My MIL wanted us to get a subsidized apartment in my name only (because my income has always been the lower of the two of us) and have him live with me in secret. I absolutely could not do that. Even if I wanted to, I'd be paranoid that I'd get caught and kicked out.
This is a symptom question but I'm going to ask it here because I do what I want. Got to work about a half hour ago, after sleeping horribly because of threenager and pregsomnia, and I've had some blurred vision out of one eye for maybe 15 minutes. Dr. Google says sign of preeclampsia. No other weird symptoms. Calling my OB now but, uh, any thoughts?
@PSUBecky23 a sign of pree, but also a sign of exhaustion so hard to say but really glad you're calling.
Morning all!! Glad to see Fin this morning have an appt I have to bring e with me to this morning, then maybe visiting my sister and her kids who are camping at the ocean this week while my husband golf's with brother in law (he's already there of course).
@PSUBeck23 I really hope it's not pre-e related but am glad you are calling - in hopes that this provides some reassurance, when I had that weird symptom episode a couple months ago (vision issues, trouble formulating thoughts/words, numb face and extremities) my nurse and OB went through a thorough lecture of when they should be called. They said vision issues are certainly something to keep an eye on but, without the presence of another symptom, are usually the result of something less serious (exhaustion, stress, etc). Keep us posted with what the doctor says! And try to get some rest - even if that does mean locking your office door and snoozing for a tiny bit.
@OBMommy your post made me stabby. I would throw my DH out if he asked me why I didn't iron his f*cking shirts and what's for dinner when I'm 100 months pregnant. Get over yourself, dude.
@mom2adoodle Finley is just perfect! He's doing so great! MOAR PICS!
@PSUBecky23 Definitely go get checked out. The only preeclampsia symptom I had was a random headache that would start after breakfast. I thought it was normal. They ran labs just in case and here I am now. Better to be safe than sorry. My case escalated very quickly and they said if I hadn't come in I could've had a seizure.
Got called into a meeting and it's gotten a little better. Waiting to hear back from the nurse. I honestly think it's just from crappy sleep over the last few nights but better safe than sorry. Thanks, ladies.

@SLou24 sweet of you to hope for rest for me but that'll only happen if I shut my office door and doze for a few minutes.
