@yellowrose314 - My love it is for support and that the saga is hopefully resolved!
@marajay6 - it should also be mandatory to shower and wear clean clothes on a flight. And not bother you when you're clearly trying to read.
@ajn092 I don't want to get rid of or unpin the announcement thread, and I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like anyone else does either, just encourage everyone to AW their babies in addition to the first announcement.
@yellowrose314 wow, that is so sad. It's unfortunate that she's detached with reality but I hope she gets the help she needs. You can't just stop treatment if your disease affects others so strongly like that... How terrible that you guys were involved in that! I'm thinking even Miguel is scared of her.
Woah, I have to agree with @ajn092 in regards to birth announcements. I think it's important to keep that one pinned and have people post an announcement and picture (if wanted) with only love tits allowed and then do an individual AW birth story post. Is that still the plan, guys? Each mama can even add a link to their birth story in their announcement post, if they want. I'm hoping his is still what we're doing and I'm just confused :P ETA: Nevermind, looks like I was confused
@MrsVoorhees I read and loved the book (11/23//61) when it first came out. I don't have Hulu but have been thinking about downloading the series on from iTunes.
Hi Ladies, AFI showed lower amniotic fluid. At L&D to start inducing.
Keep us posted if you can!!!! All the creepy internet hugs for you. I know it's been a rough ride but hopefully baby does amazing and you can both be home together sooner rather than later. Good luck, mama!
@PoodleDoodleOoo okay, maybe I'm misunderstanding. I'm really tired today so I apologize if I went into a big discussion where I didn't need to lol. I still can't edit the original post so if someone wants to add a comment to clarify...I'll let someone else come up with the nice wording since it's clear that I'm "off" today
@RedMar I used my discount and just added some more stuff for the last minute shower since they asked for a registry. I searched it and sent them the link and it worked fine! Looks like it can still be used!
@ajn092 I think the birth announcement thread should definitly stay, people can post there and they can link to their individual post in there if they wish. That way no announcement is missed, and people who just want to post a quick announcement and not a whole thread can do so.

Speaking of that last minute shower my girlfriend wants to throw, I added a bunch of things to the registry that was already empty! I made sure they were all available at the local BRU since it'll be a couple weeks before my EDD and I know people like to go and buy stuff in person but it's just stuff that we will need eventually and other small necessities that we were going to buy ourselves now or after baby. There are a few things we might return if we get them... I still can't believe people are so nice that they want to do this for us. There was a point where we were sure we'd have to buy everything off the registry and so far our family has bought about 99% of the stuff!!
So I just posted my daughter's birth story to that board. I hadn't read it probably since I wrote it and it made me have all the feels....
Anyways my advice to the FTM's: Take notes as soon as you start to go in labor. I had my husband do it on his phone whenever something important happen. You won't remember the details without the notes because it's such a whirlwind....try to write the story out within a month of baby's birth so your memory is somewhat fresh...you WILL want to have these stories written and saved!!!!
My random: I've been having lots of BH/cramping all day, but hoping to hold off until my appt on Friday to go in. 36w tomorrow, so one more week until I can stress less about it. Last week I was in and got monitored b/c baby's HR was weird, but everything turned out ok. Apparently I was contracting every 5-6min and hadn't even noticed until I was hooked up. No changes in dilation though, and still only 50% effaced.
@fireflygirl12 - He said it went really well and that a lot of his co-workers and influencers in the company are pulling for him to get the job!
But, apparently, his boss' boss is super worried that he won't be able to handle the increased workload since we're starting a family this year. I basically looked at DH and said "welcome to being female..." But really, I purposefully and willingly am putting my career on a bit of a hold (meaning I'm not going to give up my cushy flexibility or ability to work from home whenever I want, even though this job isn't my favorite) so that DH's career can soar (and I'm 100% fine with this!) so it drives me nuts that they are even thinking about his home/personal life as part of whether or not he'll get hired. I'm hoping the one doubter has less influence on the position than the others.

I am loving the show, but I haven't read the book so my opinion might be different if I had!
@camichael84 OMG you're adorable, stop comparing it to a first pregnancy! I was so excited to see your pretty face too, I'm about ready for a Facebook group!

I know nothing, but wouldn't it be illegal to not hire him because he's having a baby? Is that one of those reasons you can't use?
Okay, so I think I know the solution to the randoms thread! I think we need more individual posts! Maybe if you have something that will be ongoing, you could do a post for it?
@poodledoodleooo FX the other folks have heavier influence and he gets the position. I get the concern with having a new baby at home, but that's really your DH's place to decide assuming this guy doesn't know a ton about your personal life.
@MrsVoorhees - I'm sure it would be entirely illegal, but it would also be incredibly difficult to prove that was the reason he wasn't hired for the position. I was just pissed they even brought it up. DH didn't think it was a big deal, but my feminist self was all

My wife got the same kind of comment. She was sought out for a job jump in her company and when the person interviewing her found out about needing leave her response was " well maybe something else will come along for you" she did upend up getting the job offer however
@csukkha good luck - I hope everything goes as perfectly as possible for you and your babe!
@yellowrose314 holy crap. I feel sorry for your neighbor and you and your husband. And your cat. Dang.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom I have two late showers left and people notifying me my (haphazard) baby registry is either getting a little empty or I registered for things they think I won't actually like or use. I keep trying to remember to add stuff but really I wish they would just use their judgment, my friends with kids might know better than me what kind of stuff I haven't realized I'll need.

i was just thinking the other day that we seriously need more threads. Yellowrose's story and many others are definitely worthy of their own!
similar to @AlwaysAuntNeverMom (I think?) I have a friend throwing me a last minute sprinkle, but would like to use my discount in the meantime.
