O.M.G. Okay, so it's not the actual mucous plug pics that weird me out (we've all wiped some weird stuff at this point, let's be honest) but the amount of people out there that have taken pictures of it and then posted it online?? Is this what people do now? If so, I'm a total naive prude. I just can't get to a point where I post a pic of my vag juice, let alone snap one in the first place!
I'm definitely not googling anything. The C-Section discussion of cutting during birth class tonight was enough to make me feel a little queasy. How am I going to birth a baby?! The birth videos did not gross me out though.

Having been through 2 c sections. Only one awake it's gross too. The feeling when they're pulling the baby out and then scraping the placenta and stuff out is not fun. Avoid them if you can ladies!

@annabenanna Whatever you do, don't Google "mucous plug". You have been warned.
STUCK IN BOX
Haha I had to Google it. I'm amazed at how many people have posted pics of this.
Reminds me of when I was TTC and I googled egg white cervical mucous. People posted lots of pics of their EWCM and also posted pics of how stretchy it was to show the elasticity I guess. Super weird!! But also secretly helpful at the same time.
Last night baby was moving around a lot and the he moved into a weird position and an elbow/foot/booty/something pressed out in a bulge right next to my belly button. It was so uncomfortable! After walking around, doing many cat/cows and laying on my side he finally moved, but it felt achy and and almost bruised around my belly button for a few hours after. That's a new one for me! WTF baby?!
@Blonde1817 baby B does that sometimes for me. I think that's when she is turning. The first time she did it, we found out she went from breech to head down the same day. She did it again last night, so I'm curious about where we will find her laying at the next appointment.
@blonde1817@sjo_thetwins I'm starting to wonder how the eff this is just one baby... he's either enormous or one hell of a gymnast because when he gets going, there isn't and inch I don't feel him going wild in.
@AllyTheKid I don't know what it's like to have just one baby, so I can't compare feelings, and a lot of times the girls take turns going nuts, but when they BOTH get going - my entire stomach goes rolling.
I'm not sure if it was this thread and I'm too lazy to comb through but we were talking about frequency of peeing at night. I usually drink 100 oz. of water a day plus a couple of other random beverages but I make sure I'm done drinking by 9ish and will then get up about 2-3 times to pee. Last night, I was PARCHED. I drank over a gallon of water throughout the day including a 24 oz. bottle that I guzzled right before bed and then another 24 oz. bottle that I drank throughout the night as I woke up. I still only got up twice to pee. So weird! I guess I at too much salt yesterday and am retaining water.

My scalp is sooooo dry and itchy. I've tried every shampoo, scalp scrub, washing more, washing less, etc. I just have to accept that the baby is somehow stealing all the moisture from my skin and my scalp is getting the worst of it lol
@ashleyp625 mine was about 6 days. It was the worst the first 3 days, but if someone would pat my arm there or something, it would still feel tender. It wasn't as bad as some people told me it would be though.
My gums have been bleeding more when I brush my teeth. I've been to the dentist and he said its just normal, but it feels gross!

Morning sickness has returned worse than the first tri. W T F. I think it has something to do with the acid reflux, but this is super annoying. I was talking to another woman at the office, and she told me that for her, the morning sickness was worse in her third tri than her first. Is this true for any of you BTDT Moms!!!???? I was hoping the sickness was just a few days thing, but ugh if it lasts until this LO makes an appearance.
Not directly pregnancy related, but I got my tdap shot at my appointment the other day, and my arm is still really sore!
I got mine Tuesday and my arm is miserable. Swollen sore and itchy.
Randomly my teeth and gums hurt a ton this evening. I didn't eat anything super crunchy so I don't know why other than perhaps this baby is sucking out all my calcium/....
@Pupatella - with DS I was more nauseated in third tri than first- but that's not saying a lot because I was never sick in first tri. I threw up maybe 3 times in third- twice after drinking OJ on an empty stomach (acid maybe?) and once was weird- like I just ate too much soup at dinner & it didn't ...fit? Or something. Sorry TMI. A lot of it was just the fact that baby is taking up more room.
I have been queasy on and off for over a week now. I've also been having bad acid reflux which I determined is why my sore throat isn't going away when my cold was like a month ago at this point. It really SUCKS
@LGW2015 - I have what they call "silent reflux" aka laryngopharyngeal reflux (or LPR) and it sounds a lot like what you're talking about. I've never had actual heartburn in my life (not even when full term with DS) and it's very much a throat symptom. Tums may help - I take pepcid twice a day.
+1 to the bad acid reflux. At least two or three times a week I wake up feeling like I'm going to throw up but it's just stomach acid. I have been taking Tums but I think I'm going to talk to my doctor about Zantac at my next appointment. It's not first-tri nausea bad, but it sucks.
I am also following PP's leads and getting a fake wedding band for my swollen sausage fingers!
Insomniaaaaaa. I cannot fall asleep these days. And now I'm EXHAUSTED.
I'm the total opposite. I cannot get enough sleep. I'm falling asleep at my desk, in meetings, struggling to keep my eyes open when driving. There has to be a happy medium!

when I get off work, its easy for me to fall asleep almost everywhere, yesterday I fell asleep on the bare floor, no blankets or pillows or anything... but then whenever I lay down on my comfy bed with all the pillows available in the entire house I just can't sleep, I keep switching sides, adding pillows, blankets, it always takes me like an hour to find the right spot, and like 30 minutes later it's pee time!! hahaha is annoying....
@NoraAurora yes that's definitely what I have! I just looked it up. I had never heard of it before. Sorry you have it too, it's awful
thanks for the sympathies I've had it since october last year (even BEFORE getting KU) and I've been to multiple appts trying to get it diagnosed. I even have an upper endoscopy planned for after LO is born. Solidarity sister.
My scalp is sooooo dry and itchy. I've tried every shampoo, scalp scrub, washing more, washing less, etc. I just have to accept that the baby is somehow stealing all the moisture from my skin and my scalp is getting the worst of it lol
Me too. Anti-dandruff shampoo didn't help and it smells bad, so I switched back and will just live with an itchy scalp.
@ignoscemihi@scostel2 - have you tried a deep conditioner or mask? Massaging it to the scalp and leaving it on for a while may help relieve some of the issues.
I also have scalp issues and the only thing I have been able to wash my hair with this pregnancy as ironic as it sounds is baby shampoo. I use Eucerin Baby and it works great for flaky itchy scalp.
@NoraAurora +1 for silent reflux! I just googled it and that is exactly what it sounds like I have! Heartburn has taken a break but this acid in my throat won't go anywhere unless I'm on Zantac.

I did a hair mask and an overnight conditioning treatment with no luck (did make my hair feel great though), but have NOT tried baby shampoo @brzvice. Thanks for the suggestion! That's next on my list
Yesterday afternoon I skipped lunch because I was busy at work. I started feeling lightheaded and a little dizzy, so had a big bowl of spaghetti for dinner, but that didn't help. I felt like my heart was racing, I was a little short of breath, and if I turned my head too abruptly, I'd be dizzy.
I went to sleep at 9 (after my toddler, basically). And I feel better today. But, not good. I'm just kind of weak feeling. I really can't pinpoint it. Maybe it's the crazy 110 degree heat index (even though I've been inside all day yesterday and today).
@F47 Make sure you're drinking plenty of water! And keep some quick snacks nearby at work in case you can't eat a full meal. Hope you're feeling better!

I'm going to be the crazy coconut oil lady again, and back up what @MRSCORKER said. Just give a try and see what happens!
@F47 All I have to do is walk to and from my vehicle a few times to get heat sick. If you went out at all, (heat index here is triple digits too) your body may be having a rough time transitioning from extreme heat back to AC.
