oh screw that im taking it twice I cant handle myself. since I commented my heartburn showed up early. the tums actually do help me, and I found the smoothies are way easier to handle than the gritty regular ones.
I can't breathe again. Yesterday was fantastic and I didn't even feel pregnant. Today, the babies are so high that I feel like I'm fighting to breathe.
I am having serious vomit issues, I think something made me sick, I feel like I am able to remake the exorcist now... Just give me enough water and a cookie.... never felt this not even during first tri
Has anyone started swelling? I noticed my rings were tight today and my ankles feel tight around my sandal straps. I never had swelling with DD and I feel like 29 weeks is early for swelling. Maybe?
@nlane0723 - I haven't been able to wear my rings since probably 18 weeks. My feet are slightly swollen, but get really bad if I'm standing for a while. I've taken to wearing flip flops all the time, even to the office.

@nlane0723 I haven't been able to wear my rings since week 25. My ankles only swell if I'm on my feet for a while. I don't know if it's early for swelling or not but in 100 degree heat, I'm sure I'd be swelling if I wasn't pregnant.

+1 for swelling. I bought new summer shoes a few weeks ago and actually had to buy a size up! My rings are tight too, so I bought a fake set in a size up. I usually get "puffy" in the summer, though. Everything I'm reading says some swelling now is normal, but be on the look out for sudden weight gain or extreme puffiness; those are signs of pre-e (which I had last pregnancy and am now very vigilant for...)

I am also experiencing swelling. I got some compression socks to wear at work since I sit at a desk all day, and I have noticed a difference. I also put my feet up the moment I get home.
Also, unfortunately yes on the vomiting too. I am also worse now than I was first tri. My doc said it's probably because of acid reflux, and suggested pepcid. Today is my first day trying pepcid, and so far so good!! Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.....
I guess the heat doesn't help, but I literally sit in an ice cold office all day. I guess it's time for flip flops. I pretty much only wear leggings to work so why not let myself totally go for the gymesque look.
Same here with the swelling @nlane0723! I took off my rings about a month ago. Still trying to find a cheap (larger) replacement ring but in the mean time, people can just go ahead and assume I'm a single mother for all I care!
@nlane0723- I'm tend to swell easily anyway. Hasn't been horrible yet but increased water intake helps when it is bad. That and cold compressions with my feet up. Good luck!
+1 for swelling. I haven't worn my rings in about a month because my hands swell so badly in the morning. Then my feet start to swell by the end of the day. I'm trying really hard to drink more water and move around throughout the day, but I think the heat is making me swell. My feet got HUGE when I was pregnant with DD- I used to joke that my feet were going to get stretch marks. Hopefully I can avoid that this time.
I'm not comfortable sleeping on my side because then my hip is killing me! Last night I was so desperate to sleep that I slept sitting up because I'm usually a back or stomach sleeper. I actually slept 4 straight hours before getting up to pee. It's usually 1-2 hours before I have to pee because between the bladder kicks and my kidney disease, I'm always running to the bathroom! I used to get up once a night before getting pregnant and last night it was only twice instead of 4/5. Praying it works again tonight! I just want to sleep like we all do!
My rings fit just fine. My right foot might be swelling slightly, but doesn't look bad compared to my left foot, which is consistently swollen. (Yes I got checked for DVT. The current theory is that my uterus is just putting pressure on that vein and preventing efficient blood return.)
I'm definitely on swelling train as well! It's worse if I'm on my feet all day and of course the heat doesn't help... I just stopped wearing my rings because I'm afraid they'll get stuck on! And I've basically switched to just flip flop type sandals and I went up a half size to make sure they're roomy! Lots of water helps, as well as avoiding salt and trying to elevate when you can. I put my feet up while we watch TV at night - and I put a stool under my desk at work so I can prop them up while I sit all day! It's very gradual through the day, and nothing too crazy...but I've been told by the doctor to watch, if it's sudden swelling and pretty significant, it's a sign of pre-eclampsia, so just keep an eye on it!!
@ignoscemihi... How are you even getting any rest? You must be exhausted!
I am exhausted. Last night, I had to pee four times in the first two hours of trying to sleep. Luckily, I only got up twice more the rest of the night, so I got a few solid chunks of sleep. I asked my doctor about it at my appointment today. He basically told me to cut down on my water intake and to only drink if I'm thirsty, especially in the afternoon. I'm giving it a try tonight and keeping my fingers crossed.

I picked up a fun and simple "engagement" ring for $16 total (that included tax and shipping) and it arrived within 3 days! They go up to size 10 and there's a decent selection. I was really pleased with what I got and now my finger doesn't seem so naked!
I guess last night Baby B decided he was gonna hang out lower near my cervix. It didn't hurt but almost felt like vibrations? Weird and that's the best way I can describe it. When I moved it stopped, so I can only assume it was some hands or feet down there??

The absent mindedness is killing me. In the last 2 weeks I have missed so much crap at work just because it somehow slips past me. Stuff I've been doing for ages I know have just forgotten how to do. Its awful and I feel terrible because I work with mostly men, so who's going to believe me when I blame it on pregnancy brain? lol
Countdown to Baby H! Mommy to Elizabeth (6/18/09), preemie at 34 weeks
I'm with you @ignoscemihi. I swear I wake up at least 5 times a night to pee. Which is really odd for me because before I was pregnant, I never got up during the night to pee.
Have any of you experienced white and red blood cells in your urine? I was just treated for a UTI and was retested today and I still have some cells in my urine. I'm hoping that this just means I need more meds that the infection didn't fully go away. Was just wondering if anyone else experienced this
Upper abdominal pain that woke me out of a sound sleep around 1 am. (I wrote about this in the wtf thread because wtf.) Totally upper and central. It felt like stretching and burning inside my stomach. Google said it was either stretching of my organs or Precclampsia. At the US yesterday they told me that the baby is head down. I'm nervous it could be Precclampsia but I'll ask on Friday. I'm a mess this pregnancy, guys. A fucking mess lol
@Michi1382 Pre-e signs are so random; I had it with my first, only I had protein in my urine and sky-high blood pressure. I know mild pre-e caught early can be well managed at home, so thinking of you! Fingers crossed for you it's just growing pains!! Let us know how it goes!
Also yes to all the water. I'm drinking for swelling and to keep cool, and because I seem to be extra sensitive to dehydration lately. If I don't drink enough, I get a headache and a little nauseous, so I drink all the water and pee all the time.

I just lost a huge and I mean huge chunk of mucous plug. No blood or anything, but I guess I'll have to watch my Braxton hicks more carefully cause that's how my last baby's preterm labour started. But man that's gross stuff.

ummm... do you need to call the doctor about that?! @Schell2013 (genuine question here... I'd be freaking out but you seem so cool, calm and collected lol)
@Schell2013 I know I'm a FTM, but after being in preterm labor once already this pregnancy, my doctors told me to call them if I had ANY change in mucus/discharge. Losing most of your mucus plug is a lot more concerning, in my opinion, than losing just pieces. Not trying to escalate this further than it should be, but I would definitely call my doctor, especially since you've gone into preterm labor before. Earlier it's stopped, better chances of keeping it that way! Fingers crossed everything stays normal for you!
@bnsmith85 things always get funky for me down there. I leaked fluid both times starting around now, and they couldn't figure out why or where, but I leaked a small small gush everyday. They told me if I had contractions then I needed to go in but bedsides that and the extra ultra sounds it wasn't anything more than a pain cause I had to wear panty liners. @sjo_thetwins that is absolutely the case for most, but given my history unless I have consistent contractions there is nothing they'll be able to do for me. I have the worlds weirdest cervix. Mucous plugs do regenerate too, so I'll grow another and promptly dump that out in about another week. @annabenanna they look like a long chunk of thick thick snot. It's super sticky. I googled them my first pregnancy cause I was curious and it actually wasn't as traumatizing as people said it was going to be. Mine was completely clear, no color at all which is a good thing!
Ill keep all you guys posted! I have a doctors appointment Friday morning too, and will for sure mention it to him!
