@mmclark10 I already had my outfits all picked out washed and packed too, but then I saw a cute little romper on zulilly and decided I needed it too lol. How many outfits did y'all/are y'all putting in your go bag? I think I did 3 or 4 of both newborn size and 0-3. At first I thought maybe that's too much, but now I keep wondering if I should add more . . .If I have a c-section I'll be there at least 3 nights and aren't babies kind of known for going through several wardrobe changes a day? Or will I just keep her in a diaper and blanket most of the time?
@Car0liiine... I would just pack a couple sleepers and onsies. Chances are you won't dress the baby until you go home, but if you want to while you're there you'll have a few options. I'm packing two outfits, one long sleeve and one short, and that's it. My first two kids I didn't really dress at the hospital until we left... except my daughter who was in special care for 16 days, but we weren't able to put clothes on her for the first 4 or 5 days anyway.
Happy birthday to all the june mamas! My birthday is Thursday. .. I'm turning 30, on the 30th! Little sad I'm pregnant for my big 30/golden birthday, but I'm definitely getting the best present ever this year!
I'm so lazy today it's crazy. I'd planned on cleaning the house and taking the kids bowling. But the kids werent very good this morning, and I've slowly cleaned while the kids cleaned too. They aren't as attitude-y as earlier, so that's good. But still so much to do and lots of laundry to finish. I also managed to get the baby blanket half done that's been sitting in my craft room for 3 months. But now I don't feel like finishing that either. Looks like my nesting has waned for now
@Car0liiine - the only oufit we used with dd1 was our going home outfit. The hospital recommended skin to skin whenever possible so there was no need for clothes.
Got all baby's clothes washed, organized, and put away, car seat installed, stroller put together, diaper bag packed for hospital, all baby's bedding washed, basically everything is done except mine and DH's hospital bag and I couldn't be more relieved and excited. Now all that's left is waiting for baby to arrive!!!
and sending out thank you cards for my shower...ugh.
@Car0liiine I packed the about the same. Three sleepers that have the cinched bottom (so good for newborn size or 0-3). And two outfits one newborn, one 0-3 for going home. Plus 2 swaddles, blanket, two socks, two hats, two mittens. It seems like a lot, but what can I say FTM right here.

@Car0liiine I'm just bringing one in each size. We kept DS in the little kimono shirt and diaper they gave until we left the hospital. They're swaddled most of the time you're there anyway.
@mmclark10 their stuff is super cute and great for special occasions, but can be pricey so I always try to catch them when they're having a sale. This one wasn't part of the sale, unfortunately, but since we're barely buying any clothes (second boy) I wanted to get him at least one or two special outfits.
@midwestbaby here it is! The hat will probably be too big for the first month, but it was on sale so I had to get it
Our bubbas can be twinsies except hers has pink elephants! Mom gifted this set to us. Socks will come into good use if we don't end up putting her in that footie.
And I totally agree. Wait until their items go on sale! At the store, I find most luck just scrummaging through their sale racks.
@Car0liiine I agree with @Bookhousegirl, most hospitals have little shirts there as well as swaddle blankets to wear during your stay. I only ever take a NB and a 0-3 month outfit for coming home in.
@AliKay20 so cute! The girl layette outfits are so cute there! I know it will be a little warm for the full footies, but everything is so air conditioned (hospital, car, our house) so I wanted to have something cozy for him.

Just bring a cute photo outfit and a going home outfit. The baby will be in a diaper and swaddle most of the time. No need to bring several outfits !
My dress fits that I ordered for my maternity photos! Wahoo! I'm getting my hair cut and higlighted for the first time in ages this Friday and my nails done. I can't wait to pamper myself a little!
I am hoping I will be able to successfully teach DH how to use my camera and frame shots. It will be a good test run for the hospital.
I'm also getting my hair and photos done on Friday. Looking forward to it, except I haven't planned anything to wear yet. :-/
Showered and brushed my teeth 20 mins ago. I'm on the couch with a plate of pancakes and cherries while DH is working on some presentation for work tomorrow. I am SO afraid to weigh in at my next appt this Friday.
@Nikkoli98 I can't wait to see your photos! I waited until the last minute on what to wear. If the dress didn't fit, I probably wouldn't have taken them. Ha!
@AliKay20 I just finished my shift and I'm eating leftover pizza and watching reality junk tv. I'm also scared for my next weigh in, which is tomorrow at 930! Yikes!

@SkiChic626 It was on my side and I had a pillow between my knees
That's how I like it! I've had a few with those prego pillows and they're so flippin uncomfortable! I get excited when they tell me they'll do it on my side lol.
I wanted a prenatal massage so badly, but no where nearby does it.
Massage Envy will do prenatal massages - there must be one relatively close to you, they're all over! You just need to make the appt in advance because not all of the therapists do prenatal, so the times can be limited.
Omg. I slept through the entire night! I feel like thats the equivalent of really good sex right now!
So jealous! for the past few weeks I had been sleeping pretty well despite getting up a few times in the middle of the night... I was able to fall asleep pretty early for awhile and get a ton of sleep but now I have insomnia to the point where I can't fall asleep until at least 1 AM. I sleep like a rock for about 5.5 hours but I'd definitely trade that for 10 hours of mildly interrupted sleep!
@midwestbaby here it is! The hat will probably be too big for the first month, but it was on sale so I had to get it
I've never stepped foot into a Janie and Jack, not even received a gift or hand-me-down for DD or this baby, but this makes me want to take a peak during lunch today or tomorrow! The symbol of my sorority is an anchor, and I have an anchor tattoo, I grew up on water, I love all thing nautical....so I'm obsessed with this!

I have a scheduled c-section so I'll be there for 3 nights (or 2 if I want outta there), and I'm only packing an outfit to go home in and maybe one other one for when the hospital photographer comes. The rest of the time baby will either be in those little shirts they give you at the hospital and/or swaddled - so I would actually bring swaddle blankets more than outfits, or you can just use the receiving blankets that the hospital provides. When they're only a few days old you really won't have blow outs or even much spit up yet, if any. That stuff won't start happening until they start being able to eat a more substantial amount. DD didn't require an outfit change until she was maybe 5 weeks old, and that was only because it was time to size up her diapers and she hadn't pooped for 24 hours lol.
Stephanie7693 I was 11 days post c-section with DD for my 30th bday, but I did have a new baby to snuggle so it wasn't so bad.
I feel like someone beat me with a stick and then ran me over with a truck in my sleep last night. How can I possibly wake up more sore and tired then when I went to bed?

@alikay20 scared of my weigh in too! I have it today at 3:30, which means I have the whole day to eat and retain water. Awesome.
Janie and Jack stuff is SO cute. I've never actually shopped there because I've heard it is pricey, but we have been gifted a few precious outfits. Maybe a good summer sale will happen soon.

I would probably just bring a few little onsies then. They're the easiest to take on and off.
