I was sent home because my BP leveled out and L&D was too full for my doctor to be able to do the c-section without crazy circumstances. We're now scheduled for Wednesday evening after DH gets back from interviews in DC.
My doctor doesn't want me going much longer after getting the readings we got yesterday.
Woke up last night and lost my mucus plug or bloody show (not sure which). went back to bed and shortly after I started getting painful contractions. I thought I might have been imagining them LOL so I tried to sleep without much luck. I decided to time them and saw they were every 3-6 minutes apart. Called my doc and he sent me to triage, I'm 3cm and 80 percent effaced, contractions every 3 minutes now. Doc says I'm having a baby today!!
@ashleybaker712 - How frustrating!! Hopefully your BP stays low today and tomorrow. Mine has been spiking via home readings the last couple days, but never enough or long enough to warrant doctor intervention any earlier than my scheduled C-section Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the watching and monitoring game is old, as are the swelling, headaches, etc. that come when the BP rises... so I feel your pain. Prayers for a smooth next couple days for you!
I'm so far behind! Congrats to all you new mamas! Sending positive thoughts and prayers to those of you on baby watch! @squishy0511 - hoping things move quickly and smoothly for you!!!
Well, ladies, at my appt today they estimated baby is 8 lbs 11 oz (hope they overestimated!). Despite contractions off and on, I'm still only dilated one cm, so they're checking me in tonight to give cervadil overnight and induce tomorrow.

At the hospital, hooked up to monitors and IV. Awaiting cervadil(not looking forward to it because the nurse already warned me it will be more uncomfortable than a cervical check). Pitocin in the morning.

Have been at the hospital for a scheduled induction for gd since 7pm last night. Given cervadil at 8:50pm yesterday and pitocin today at 7:30am. Making some progress but the doctor will check again at 7pm and if no more progress by 9pm we will need to discuss c section. Very long, rough day with lots of throwing up. Hoping for good news soon!
Congrats on your baby boy! Just read your announcement and wanted to let you know my LO was born with wet lungs as well and spent some time in the NICU. Hope you are able to get some rest and that his stay is short! Feel free to shoot me a message if you ever have any questions or concerns. We also have weekly NICU check in's if you'd like to share baby's progress/update!
So I just had a painful contraction that lasted over 5 minutes???? What the heck does that mean? I also keep having little gushes of blood streaked, clear discharge. Just hanging out in the bathtub in case I have another monster contraction . . . Why does this crap always happen at night when I can't call the nurse line?

If you're dripping or leaking discharge constantly you should go to l&D and make sure your water didn't break. If that's the case you should not be in the tub. I almost didn't know my water broke, except I knew I wasn't dripping pee, and what was coming out was completely clear and not like usual discharge at all. Maybe it's baby day for you!
The discharge is not continuous, I've sat on the toilet fur several minutes to see if it would keep dripping. But every time I pee and a couple times when I wasn't some more comes out. It's not really liquidy either. Just called L&D and they said they legally can no longer give medical advice over the phone, I have to call my OB. So I've called and left a message at that office but idk when I'll get a call back. Ughhhh I'm having lots of little contractions that only last like 25 seconds and then those crazy long ones every hour? This is obviously not regular labor but I want something to make it stop. Sorry, these are all things I should be asking a doctor, but you lovely internet "strangers" are my most reliable source right now.
Ok, a nurse called me back, said what I'm describing sounds like bloody show. She said even if they are irregular, if the contractions are taking my breath away they're doing something. So I'm gonna hang out and see if these really bad ones get closer together and then go in if they do. Sorry for so many posts!
@Car0liiine - I'd go to l&d for monitoring. I had some super long contractions and the baby's heart rate dropped during one of them.
I second this. I know you are scared to go back in after your experience the other night, but you got this! You can do it!

@Car0liiine Good luck! I hope this means you're in your way for real. I know you had a really bad cervical check experience... Now that I've had at least 4 different people's fingers in my cervix, I can say it really does depend on the doctor or nurse. Hopefully the next one will be gentle - or after you get an epidural! No matter what, you've got this and you'll get through whatever comes your way.
I am checked in, complete and epidural is finally in and working Thank God!!!! Just waiting to push. Thank you all so much for your advice and support, love y'all! I will update when I can but it's baby day!!!!
@Car0liiine wahooooooooooooo! Happy baby day lady! So so so excited for you and praying for a safe and healthy delivery!

It will all be worth it, once you're holding that sweet babe!
