Today I went with my mom to goodwill. I love going there to get furniture to repurpose. I got a changing table for $4.99 and a little side table for $2.99. Our crib has a changing table attached so I got some containers that I'm going to cover in fabric and use it as a storage area for LOs room. I'm am pretty excited about them both. I also got a book/magazine holder I'm going to paint for DDs room. Such a productive day!
Holy crap @tmk0325 Praying and sending out good Wisconsin baby vibes to you!

@tmk0325 wow. The very best of luck. I just spent the afternoon playing with my friends twins who were born at 31 weeks and was thinking it's crazy to think of my little guy being born now. They are now 6 months old and very happy and healthy.
@tmk0325 I saw the babies on the birth announcement thread. Congrats!!! When you feel up to it, I would live to hear details. How are they (and you) doing? Names? Etc... You have beautiful boys mama!
If anyone needs something to do, head over to the July board and read the Vagina Presentation thread. Some of the responses are great! Also, I'm sorry if this was already something most of you have talked/laughed about... it's an older thread (Dec I think) But it just popped back up to the front.
So I routinely work in two different offices, one in Austin (home office) and one in Dallas (a few days every other week). I'm on office listservs for both. At 2:30 I get an email from Dallas saying they're having an ice cream social for the summer associates. No sooner than I complain to myself, wishing I were in Dallas, I get an Austin email saying we have cake for a birthday this afternoon. #winning
Oh, and this cake will be GREAT to wash down my healthy snack of carrots and hummus.
I have a baby shower on July 9th... come to find out, the invitations haven't been sent out yet... I had a couple of friends ask me details... so I am not sure whether or not to reach out to the other folks I have on the list, or just wait....

So I was getting ready for my ob appointment this morning and decided i was past due for a trim. I can't reach that well anymore let alone see anything so I have neglected the landscaping for a while. Decided to stop up the drain so I could sit down and just use my trimmer since it works even submerged in water (best thing ever.) So I do my thing, stand back up, flip the thing to let the water out and turn on the shower head to wash my hair and body. Get finished and notice the water isn't draining so I just thought there was too much hair in the drain . . .nope, that's not it. Try jiggling the little switch thing for the drain . . . And it just comes out in my hand . . . So now there's a very full tub of water and naturally this had to happen on the day I finally decide to do some weed whacking. Told poor hubby when he gets home I have a surprise for him - pube soup. So thankful he loves me even though I'm gross!
My mom and I were sitting at Babies R Us today at their registry center trying to ship something online. An employee was helping us and was sitting on the phone on hold. My mom takes this opportune time to tell me she's heard you can use some lotion or serum to massage "down there" to help prevent tearing during delivery. I was like..mom..maybe we can not talk about this ever? Especially not in front of the employee who's listening to everything we are saying.
@Bookhousegirl Same here. I will walk up one flight of stairs at the hospital, but take the elevator if it is more than that. I was waddling up a flight of stairs the other day and a nurse flew past me and said "You can make it! Keep going!" I couldnt tell if it was encouragement or making fun of me.
I'm getting a pedicure and I'm a little embarrassed by the size of my puffy feet and cankles!
I got mine done recently and at first I was very self conscious about it but as soon as the lady started massaging my swollen feet, I did not have any shame. I told her to keep going, LOL. She took her time and I was falling asleep on the chair.
I don't even try to fit into my work flats anymore. I go into the office in flip flops. Look at the comparison between my right foot and Baymax.
People don't get the level of swelling until I tell them to look down at my feet. They then are at loss for words - at least the ones that have not gone through it before.
@AliKay20 holy moly! You poor thing! I thought mine were bad. I stopped at Walgreens really quick before work today to get a pair of compression socks until the ones come in from Amazon. I will say they have made a world of difference today and I only have 2 hours left.
Here are my fat ankle comparisons. Lol same ankle...one is after a long shift on my feet...I bet you can guess which one.

@AliKay20 I feel your pain! My feet are now pink by the end of the day because the swelling is so bad. I also have creases in my cankles. I'm looking forward to August when I get to deflate a couple of weeks after labor.
@midwestbaby I know. Not even cold baths help anymore...but my blood pressure is always in the normal range. This just blew up (pun intended) at like 32 weeks. The last 3 weeks have been extra uncomfortable. I can't even walk my dog around anymore or else my feet will get even bigger...
So... I lost my mucus plug (don't worry I won't post pictures ) and now I'm in L&D for the night. My doctor wants me to stay because I'm 1cm dialated. I feel like it's a little excessive, but better safe then sorry right? They're giving me a steroid shot, just in case, but hoping this will be a one night stay!
@AliKay20 Dayum!! I'm sorry, that looks miserable. I hope you find some relief. I've had good luck with putting on compression socks, going for a short walk, and then putting my feet up. And yes, getting a pedicure is well worth any embarrassment just to soak your feet and get a little foot rub!

@tmk0325 Hang in there! We're all pulling for you!

@Car0liiine LOL that is hilarious.
I am feeling like giant whale today. I caught a glimpse of myself walking into a store and I was shocked to see how much I'm waddling already.

Edit b/c I just realized I posted my FFFC in the wrong thread. Pregnancy brain strikes again. Sorry!
