@Megan324 I'll stick to my motto that "Karma is a dirty bitch" and she will be receiving 4 (ugly, non-returnable) toasters for her bridal shower and swollen kankles galore whenever she is to bear a child.
We have been reading Big Brother books to DS almost every night to try and prepare him for what's to come. Since he's only 2 (just turned), he doesn't really understand his life is about to change drastically! Last night he was sitting on my lap (almost impossible nowadays) and he was pointing to my belly and saying "baby" over and over again. And I was like "yes soon you'll meet your little sister" and he started to lift up my shirt and say "open" to my belly as if he could lift a flap and see her. So cute!
My nephew did something similar when I told him there was a baby in my belly, except he looked into my crotch when he asked me to see the baby. At least he's got the right idea lol
Hmmmm... Do you know how I know it must be 4 am? Because the batteries in the smoke detector in DS's bedroom need to be replaced. (Thank you helpful chirping noise.) Thank you, husband, for replacing all the batteries like you said you would three months ago! Sleeping is SO easy right now, I totally don't mind that I was just on a ladder, and you are, of course, out of town.
@pilotswifery Well, as long as you're up, why not join the "Up Before Sunrise - Not 'Cause We Wanna Be" party! There's poorly brewed coffee, day old donuts, and a deep sense of being the butt of some cosmic joke. But the sunrises are cool.
@KimmySchmidt That's what gets me too, usually. Get up to pee and then can't get back to sleep.
@Megan324 Help yourself. The ones frosted with "life's disappointments" are particularly zingy! In all seriousness, though, it stinks that you're sick to your tummy. It's already not fun to wake up early, but waking up early because you don't feel good is worse. Peppermint or ginger helped my nausea. Do you have pretty consistent 3rd trimester nausea? Half a Unisom sleep tab is supposed to really help curb it, that's why my nurse originally told me to get some.
I'm really going to miss these crazy ass pregnancy dreams! When I wake up I have to do a hardcore sort through btwn them and reality. No, you haven't had crazy, huge belly-less sex in months, dream on...
@Bibliobebe I've been having MS since about week 5 and it was really bad until about week 19 and for the past ten weeks I only vomit about 2-3x a week so it's better than it was!
I'm currently eating some sweet potato chips. It seems to help a bit
I'm on zofran and promethazine but I'll definitely look into the Unisom!
@Megan324 Unisom with B6 is the one that's prescription, and the one I've been told is amazing for nausea. The over the counter stuff doesn't have the B6 combination so it's not as potent a quease-killer. Your other medicines might be stronger, but it's worth an ask!
We ordered our double stroller today!! I'm so excited and so happy for Prime, we should have it Wednesday!
Also, I got to sleep until 7:15 this morning!!! Never. That never, ever happens. DD likes to get up at 6-6:30. H woke up at 6:40 at the same time I was rolling over and tried to have a conversation. Oh hell no. I was kind of bitchy, and told him to stop talking to me because I never get to sleep in and DD is sleeping. I don't feel bad, he gets to sleep in all the time, and he knows it makes me stabby when he does that.
Bad thing for the day, I have to go to Target and I don't want to leave the house. I really need to go right now, while its still early because in Oklahoma, you go early on Sunday morning while everyone is in church and you get Target to yourself! It's a beautiful place when you're there alone.
@MrsVoorhees Amazon prime is the best!! We have a warehouse semi close to our house so on some items we can get same day/next day delivery (depending on what time I order) but the order has to be at least 35. I am always adding extra stuff just so I can get same dame delivery!

Been super busy, sorry for not responding. I will have a solo shower from my family the day before. Closing went fine, sad I had to leave less than 24 hours after. Poor H is moving boxes now. I am at a conference in Boston. And I love my Prime.
Man, can this thread move! I can't keep up thanks to my new work schedule and throwing a big 35 year birthday bash yesterday for my fiancé!
@RedMar I too am going to miss the crazy pregnancy dreams! I kinda wish they would stay forever - they're just fun and weird and never scary so I love them.
OMG that's what my FFFC was. I've never ever ordered off of amazon!
I hate shopping in store. Amazon is life. Last year I had 84 orders, this year I am already at 64, That doesn't even count DH's own account which his is pretty similar.

@kosmo86 Wooo! 64?! I'm only at 21 and that includes digital orders! I guess I don't use Amazon as much as I thought. I feel like I'm on it all the time because I DO have Prime and I watch Amazon Prime TV and Movies frequently.
I'm a go-to-the-store type of person. I very much prefer being able to see/touch what I'm about to buy, plus it gets me out of the house. Since I work from home I'm in said house A LOT and shopping out gives me a reason to emerge. I guess I only use Amazon when there's something that I want available for much cheaper (usually books).
So I know you all are going to throw the day old donuts at me but I got almost 10 hours of sleep last night!!!! Sure I woke up twice but I was able to go back to sleep. It was glorious and I attribute it to the Benedryl I took last night since my allergies flared up.
Also @RedMar I just realized I haven't had a sex dream in months! Waaaaahh! I miss those! Especially since I have been on pelvic rest for 8+ weeks so you'd think I'd at least be getting some action there!!
Married: 3/21/15 First time mom to a human but have been a puppy mamma for over 12 years
@blondie080300 I can share the brunt of the donut tossing with you! I also got 9 hours of sleep last night, it was fantastic!! I think this morning was one of the rare mornings in our entire 6.5 year relationship where my fiancé was awake before me.
And totally am going to miss the crazy / sex dreams after pregnancy.
@Bibliobebe I can appreciate that, but being able to order diapers or other things DD needs without having to bring my toddler into a store, let alone anywhere in public, is amaaaaazing
Oy! I had hundreds of posts to catch up on but I made it! We've been on vacation but we're almost home. Here's my random comments...I survived on the caramel cashew from target after DS1 was born.
The only conclusion the doctors came to regarding DS1's premature birth was the cord being wrapped around him, so yes that is definitely scary to see on an ultrasound and a fear of mine! I'll have to ask about that at my appointment tomorrow so I'm glad that was brought up...
I get progesterone shots to help prevent a second premature birth and while DH was giving me my shot yesterday, in the butt, I totally farted. It was awful and hilarious at the same time.
Regarding co-sleeping, sometimes it's purpose is survival. I'd much rather have DS sleep in his crib but he doesn't always agree and if I want any sleep, co-sleeping it is. Fortunately he's not all over the place.
We survived DS'S bday party yesterday! So last year 4 kids came and this year it was close 50 ppl. I thank God that he is in a new school with cool parents who all support the bday party circuit. Before it was cupcakes on a Friday at daycare. But I was doing the list for people to get into the park where we had it and sincerely freaked out!
I thank God it was a beautiful day despite one dad deciding he "had" to go get a present and can I watch his kids while he ran to target? 1. Presents aren't required 2. They go to the same school. Other than that we had a great time.
Ok so just putting this out there bc we are all such smart shoppers have any of you seen coral colored accessories for a room at any stores out there? I feel like whenever I'm out and about I don't have a lot of time to peruse the different sections bc DS is on a limit. Also, online shopping is hard to tell what the color is.

I know it's probably not time feasible, but I just bought things I loved for DDs room and painted them the color I painted her curtains. Worked perfectly and everything is the same shade of coral. However, I know I saw lots of coral at hobby lobby...2 years ago. God, im no help.
@MrsVoorhees OMG. I was going to say Hobby Lobby but it's such a weird place sometimes. You feel bad if your not hand crocheting your towels. But they do have a lot of nifty stuff.
Weird thing has been happening - Other women (older women with grown children) are starting to comment on my belly, which doesn't bother me, but they're also divulging extraordinary information about their own children that makes me incapable of responding without feeling entirely awkward.
A woman working at a coffee shop a few days ago struck up a conversation with me about caffeine while I was ordering. She'd asked me if I'd wanted decaf and when I said "No, thank you, regular is fine." She glanced at my belly. I just laughed a bit and said "I can have 200 mg a day!"
She then responded "Oh, no! I wasn't judging! Girl, I drank Dr. Pepper and Coffee EVERY DAY while I was pregnant. Of course... my son has ADHD, but so does his dad and his dad's mom so I don't blame myself."
Eeeeeeee! What do you say to that?!
Then this afternoon DH and I were getting lunch and a sandwich shop and the woman behind the counter was being very sweet and exclaiming about how cute my belly was and how adorable our baby was going to be (embarrassing but kind). She then went in to a speech about "Good Genes" and how you had to be careful about that kind of stuff, because she wasn't and now she has a kid whose father came from "bad genes", basically he was a "jerkwad". But she then reassured us that our baby would probably be super sweet because we were sweet.
All I could think was "Oh god Oh god...what's the socially acceptable response to this?!" So I just laughed and said "Thank you" which seemed to go over well because she gave us free beverages with our lunch.
TMI, but the Z-pack I'm taking for my throat infection (which is apparently also in my lungs judging by the sweet, rotting-tasting phlegm I'm coughing up) is tearing up my stomach and giving me stomach pain (fun when you're pregnant and have to debate whether you're going into premature labor) and diarrhea.
And I've only got one day left, but I'm still sick. Better, but sick.
Considering that my OB doesn't want to give out antibiotics to start with, I doubt he's going to give me another course. I may have to go to Walgreen's clinic since urgent care and my regular doctor's office won't treat me. I don't trust them even when I'm not pregnant, so that'll be fun.
This sucks, especially since I was so happy to be starting to feel so much better a couple days ago.
I cannot catch a break! my incision from my appendectomy above my belly button had been hurting all week and was weirdly coloured and I figured it was just from a) belly button popping out and b) more bending at work. But Friday night was so bad I couldn't roll over in bed and almost threw up from pain. And it's so hard to the touch around the incision. So I thought it might be a hernia and they think it is a small one. They did a bedside ultrasound and found a break in the fascia layer under the skin and think something came through (like a piece of the bowel), already got squeezed off, and is currently dying and being absorbed by the other tissue. So I need a detailed ultrasound and they have me on morpheme to manage the pain and want to monitor my pain level over night. Gah! Worst pregnancy luck ever.
@Bibliobebe that is SO awkward! I hate when people do that. I usually just smile and walk away. Luckily, I have a RBF so I get minimal comments / random conversations from people.
@MojieJoI'm sorry you're not feeling better! Hope you get some relief soon. I had the flu when I was pregnant with my second, and it was hands down the worst experience of my life.
I told my MIL that I would really prefer NOT to hug her, and she pouted at first (literally, grown woman POUTING) and I explained that I find it difficult to hug ANYONE.. She seems to understand, for now. Or she didn't want to make a scene. My body, my choice. It frustrates me that I have to explain myself and feel like some weirdo.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
@Rg1 oh my! That sounds terrible. So sorry to hear you've had complications from your surgery. I hope you're able to manage the pain and that you don't need to go through too much to get yourself healed up. Wishing you the best!
@blondie080300 So exciting! I can't wait to have that feeling We are working towards it slowly- hopefully by next weekend I'll have at least the crib set up.
We had our baby shower and our dining table is currently at capacity with stuff! We got tons of clothes, blankets, little things we needed and, even better, diapers!!! There are a bunch of packs of diapers and it makes me so happy seeing them. Yay!
Re: June Randoms Thread
Me: I'm growing a baby in there.
5yo: Yeah but I thought you were growing one baby, not two.
gtfo of my way, kid. I don't like the turn this line of questioning has taken.
Grrrrr....
Damn you 5 am pee sessions. I can never get back to sleep.
Only day of the week that I get to sleep in? Of course I'm up at 6am hurling my brains out!!
Where are the donuts @Bibliobebe

Up at 12, 2, and 330 when I moved to the recliner then the dogs had me up at 6. DH is snoozing away in bed...

I think with the baby it will be especially glorious...diapers on my doorstep in two days instead of a trip to the store? Yes please!
I've never ever ordered off of amazon!
@RedMar I too am going to miss the crazy pregnancy dreams! I kinda wish they would stay forever - they're just fun and weird and never scary so I love them.
I hope all you other lovely ladies are doing well
