@SarahDarah333 Good luck on your glucose test today!!! I will be thinking of you! And you have decided on Aiden as the baby name?! I love it!! And I wanted you to know I am totally in the same boat on missing sleep. I am being woken up every night either by kicks or the urge to pee. And sometimes it is one after the other. I can't wait for the weekend as I have felt like a zombie all week.

@Cricket Bug - Not too early to want to throw said child out the window. Before 8:30 I had to talk to my daughter about being a snarky, attitude-filled butthead. I feel your pain.
Sleep. What is that even? I woke up in the recliner at 1:45 and decided to go up to bed. Nope. My body hates me. It was almost 6 am (and multiple trips between the recliner and the bed to figure where I could get comfy) before I got back to sleep. You can't win. You can't sleep after you have kids, you can't sleep while you're pregnant and I've been told I won't really sleep well again until they're grown and out of the house. Awesome.
Sitting at my 1-hour and feeling buzzy from the glucose. The lobby is playing music, the t.v. is on super loud, and the guy next to me is listening to a really loud, obnoxious video on his phone. I am not allowed to sit outside where it's quieter. Feeling super grumpy this morning.
@Jabreen What is it about not being allowed to go outside during the glucose testing? The day I had mine done, it was beautiful outside! (And freezing in the lab, I might add.) If all I'm doing is sitting for an hour, why can't it at least be outdoors? I mean, I get it's their protocol...but compare that to my last glucose test with DD where I drank the Glucola at work and then drove to the doctor for my draw...and it just seems like two opposite extremes!
Totally with all of you in the bad sleep boat. I have crazy restless legs and cannot get comfy anywhere! Then my toddler wakes up 2-3 times just needing me to sit with him so he can fall back to sleep. And then I have to pee all the time. I will almost certainly be better rested after this baby comes.
@JennM205 the sitting is the worst. I was around coughing germy people too. I'm hoping I passed... If I didn't, I'm just going to assume I have GD and follow the diet just so I don't have to do it again.

@blondie080300 Thanks I'm nervous but I'm hopeful that I'll pass and just be done with it! Yes, we decided on Aiden DH was so funny- he originally had his heart set on Jameson, and I had offered Aiden as an alternative (among others) and he said no. The moment the U/S tech told us it was a boy and asked us if we had a name in mind, DH was like "I like Aiden..." lol! So Aiden it is And he was sitting so low last night that it was making me have to pee constantly! I'm so with you there!
Yep- the lack of sleep, it's so real!!! Last night was worse because DH was in a foul ass mood. We have been going back and forth with my family about possibly moving into my grandmother's house in November when our lease is up- whether we rent the house from her and she moves out or we move in with her and put work into the house to finish the basement. We got an update from my mom on why we can't get a clear answer (my aunt and uncle apparently offered to buy the house back during the holidays and my grandmother flat out refused- So when my grandmother offered the house to us it stirred up some stuff). Anyways, it doesn't mean we're not getting the place or able to move there, it just means we need to all sit down and make sure my grandmother is 100% clear on what she actually wants to do- she tends to offer things and then not follow through, and this would be a really big deal. I relayed this to DH, and he waited until 10:30-11 at night to pitch a bitch fit about the whole thing, stomping around and yelling like a damned fool about how upset he is and disappointed and how awful my family is at communicating and how they're stringing us along only to screw us, etc etc etc. This went on until almost 1 a.m.- and of course I got upset too so that didn't help. Thanks DH, try sleeping after all of that!!
Blah, I gained 7lbs this month. I don't feel like I've gained a lot though. Being a girl is such a trip. It shouldn't matter...but my girl brain is insecure about it.
We did groceries (forgot my list and only missed 2 items! Booom!!), went to the library, now e is napping. I'm sitting here watching PLL but should be cleaning or doing dishes or... something.
Last week, our van decided it no longer wanted to start. DH diagnosed it up and down, every which way and finally had to take it to a shop. So we're left with my car, which is fine for now (it's a Kia Sportage so it's a 5 person vehicle). But, after talking to DH last night, we realized that I really need to trade my car in and get another vehicle that can accommodate all six of us, just in case. So guess who's adding buying a car to their list of things to do. I also told DH that, by the end of the week, he needs to have picked a weekend to get Elle moved over into her brother's room so that we can start setting things up for the babies. Less than 8 weeks people. That's what I've got to work with.
@MrsVoorhees I gained 7 lbs between my 20 and 24 week appts. Pretty sure I've gained another 7 in the last four weeks as well. It was this way my last pregnancy, and while it freaks me out, I'm just keep telling myself this (biggest gain in 2nd tri) is how my body gains for pregnancy.
I double booked myself for an eyebrow wax and my GD testing tomorrow morning. I'm so tempted to completely skip the GD testing because I have zero risk factors but I knowwwww I need to be responsible.
@PSUBecky23 - I'm currently not a fan of responsibility. So I would vote for the eyebrow wax. And then I would feel guilty. So I suppose that's my round about way of saying good luck at your GD testing.
@camichael84 thanks! I'll think of it that way. I said I was going to cut my portions a bit because I definitely eat until im miserable, and then I ate 145,000 chips with salsa at Chilis. Chilis has the best salsa.
in other news, it turns out the hospital estimate of my cost was right!! I haven't ever had a family deductible before so I wasn't aware that DD and I have individual deductibles OR we can meet the family deductible. So now I realize I have way better insurance than I thought and I'll be paying around $7,000 less than I expected! What a good day!!
McKenna was terrible during grocery shopping today. Like, the worst she's ever been and was crying 80% of the time we were there. (Fairly certain she was mad she couldn't eat the snacks I was buying for her. Despite having a snack while we were there.) Hoping it was a random one time thing, but I've got a baggy of dum-dum suckers in the kitchen that are going in the diaper bag per the suggestion of some of you ladies.

@camichael84 DD has been quite the shit lately. Actually, all the kids I know her age have been. It's like they've all teamed up or something. Or the moon cycles or something. Either way, she's been a little asshole.
I've been feeling discouraged about work so I decided to buy a brownie to eat. Now I feel gross, jittered and I'm still annoyed by my work! Must find non-food related way to cheer myself up - that brownie was a terrible idea
I have my 28-week appointment today. I was soo excited as I always am for appointments. Fiance drove an 1.5 hours to get here for it...she just texted to say she is headed to take care of a mama in labor and we have to reschedule to Friday. I am still going to leave work at 3:30. I don't even care. Has anyone starting feeling like their head is going to burst at every little situation since 3rd trimester?! I hope I can get it together and remain calm for the remainder of this trimester!
I just got rear ended by a teenager on her cell phone. I'm so mad. thankfully we were going like 5mph because of traffic so there is no damage but still! Is it so hard to stay off your phone for 10 mins while you are driving??

Oh no!! I am so glad you're ok! That's ridiculous!!
@Sbrown721 I've never been rescheduled but I have had to wait an hour and a half to see the OB for a regular appointment. I've been unlucky enough to get there and hear that so and so is prepared for the induction or someone has been admitted as I wait in the front and I just see my doctor taking off. DH hates it but I always tell him, when it's us giving birth, you can be sure you'll be happy that he's making time to be there. So sorry you had to miss yours, I'd be so disappointed. Hope you both get to make it on Friday.
@Megan324 That sucks! Glad it wasn't anything serious. Things like that are why I'm already scared for when my kids will be driving. Because let's be honest, I will tell them not to do something, but they're going to make their own stupid choices. Not saying I didn't do the same, but it's totally different when you are the parent. Feeling lots of empathy for my mom and dad right now...
Seriously what are the chances... my fiancé just almost got hit head on so he had to swerve off the road and popped 2 tires. I can'tbbelieve it. He is okay but the other person hit a pole (they are thinking he was drunk) Omg.

Crikey! At least you guys are alright. I know replacing the tires sucks but you're safe, you're safe, you're safe! That's so scary.
I was going to do a HDBD picture when I had to adult and put on actual clothes. But then I got home and went straight to the bedroom and changed into PJs. No pics for me today and no more adulting today.
@Megan324 I am so sorry that happened to you both today! So glad you are both safe but boy do you have a reason to bitch. Ugh. I feel so bad!
@SarahDarah333 That sounds like such a stressful situation you and DH are going through! It sucks when outside influencers are causing turmoil between you guys. Hopefully you can get some answers soon or start figuring out a plan B just in case so you feel you have some control over the situation. I think that is what would bug me the most: feeling like my future living situation is in someone else's hands.
