@ADRIANAC1982 Just got back from the clinic! She gave me 50mg clomid to start tomorrow. Are they giving you trigger shot as well? Doctor doesn't feel I need it, but if I don't get a + by day 15, she wants me to come in for an ultrasound and possible trigger shot.

@wintersong555  I did CLOMID cd 3-7 and then the trigger injection was mailed to me, so I have it when its time. Once I go in tomorrow the will tell me when I need to use it. 

Im also tracking my O with OPK's at home, I didnt do it last time but this time I figured id be proactive in case we do TI as well

@Toby102008 my dr. Uses progesterone pills, suppositories, and shots. The shots are when you need it fast. And go in you bottom, ouch! I took the pills last month and I hated it! It was terrible because all of the side effects are pregnancy symptoms which I recognized from my first pregnancy. It made the BFN even worse. 

Wte: at least for me it was tiredness, sore boobs (I never get that), dizziness at times, and a head ache or two. But it will all be worth it if the little ones can stick!

@wintersong555 my dr. Check my LH when they measured my follies to see if I would need the trigger shot. Lh was low so they gave it to me. It seems my LH peaks well after the egg ripened and then overrippened.

Well, my u/s this morning showed 2 follies at 17mm-ish, they are 17.something....One on the right and one on the left  

Better than last time, when I only had 1. So well see what they say when they call to tell me when to trigger! If my GLOW calendar is right I dont O until Monday, and my PEAK is not until Wednesday so well see

@babymama619 Oh wow! I haven't had a positive opk for a year now- wasn't like this before, don't know what changed. Hopefully the clomid will help with this!

Than you @wintersong555, its so strange, I know 2-3 follies is good but because of the way my mind works, at first I was like ehhhhhhhhh only 2. Thank god for my DH, hes been so amazing through all this, when I told him about the 2 follies, he said its still good, bc there could have been 0 and that is why I love that man

@ADRIANAC1982 Isn't it great that our DHs are our anchors during these times? They always pull us back to reality when our heads go spinning off our shoulders.

Hi ladies! On CD16 with no surge (seriously - I want to punch that stupid blinking smiley face) so just got back from an u/s. Three good sized follicles, one right and two left, so scheduled for IUI #4 (and final before moving to IVF) tomorrow. If I surge in the morning we push to Sunday but definitely happening this weekend. Going to try progesterone this time as well since I started AF so early the last two times. The nurse didn't think it would help but also said it couldn't hurt so I figure why not?

@wintersong555 I couldnt agree more! 

My husband was very resistant in the beginning because he believe that if it didnt happen naturally it wasnt meant to be.

As time went on and I tried my best to explain to him some of what I had read, and he decided to give it a go! Since we began this journey again this year he has been so amazing and such a great support system! I told him I never need another gift because this is plenty

@Adrianac1982 2 follies is great according to my RE. She said we cancel the cycle if I have anymore than 3 because of increase risk of multiples. I'll be happy with one! I never had anything over 13 on Clomid so I'm praying for better results with the Letrozole. I have one day left of my progesterone so hopefully AF will be soon after! Let us know when you get to trigger. GL! 

@byrneme I hate the blinking smiley! I had one for like 7 days one time then it went back to nothing! My RE actually said not to use those ones. To get the ones that only give a solid smiley. Good luck tomorrow! Fx for you!

@toby102008 thanks for the tip! I had a few left of the purple kind so I've actually been testing with both just to be sure but, of COURSE, the pink one had an error this AM! I'm going to retest this PM with one just in case.

Just got the call, Trigger Sunday between 6-9pm then back Monday for my IUI!

Tomorrow is the big day! I'll find out if we're moving on to IVF or if this 3rd IUI worked.

I hadn't had any noticeable symptoms until last night. Out of nowhere there was like a tingling pain in my right boob. I've never felt anything like that before. I know it could still be the progesterone, but I'm hopeful.

Anyone else testing this week?

IUI done, #'s were ehhhhhhh because we used the frozen sample but well see.

I already ate my 1st section of pineapple core, and onto my fertility tea!

Hi June IUI Friends!

This will be IUI #3 for me... My RE increased my clomid from 50 mg to 100 mg this month, so fingers crossed that will do the trick! This is my 6th and final clomid month, so if it doesn't work this month, onto injectables (which totally freak me out lol).

Good luck to everyone and I want to see lots of BFP's this month!!

@LeFemmeViolette FX For you! I kept waiting for something like that and didn't get it so I feel good for you! I've done progesterone for 5 months and got bloating and acne, but nothing else. I'm moving on to June for IUI #3.

So, I ended up testing early last night with a FRER. It was negative. According to my Glow app, my period is due on Thurs. Since I have another FRER test I'll prob test again tomorrow just in case my levels aren't high enough yet.

I'm still pretty sure this 3rd IUI is a bust, but hoping maybe it's not.

Those that had the ovidrel shot before-- what side effects (if any) did you have from it? I got the shot last Thursday and just had weird very minor belly pain the next day. The past 2 days though I have had pretty annoying (constant) cramps.

Hi all! I'm hoping to start IUI#2 soon. I had to take a couple months break after IUI#1 because my thyroid was being wacky. I'm ready to give this another try! I had temp drops yesterday and today, among other signs, so I know AF is on her way and should be here in the next couple days. Hopefully she'll show up soon so I can start focusing on IUI#2. @ADRIANAC1982: I'd also like to know the type of tea! For the past few cycles I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea before ovulation (I know some drink it the whole cycle though). Not sure if it's doing anything, but I like tea and don't mind the taste. I'm curious if there's another tea that is beneficial for the TWW!

I don't recall any side effects from the ovidrel shot, other than the injection spot was a little sore the night of.

I had really bad hot flashes with my ovidrel... but did not have any cramping.

I mix both of them and add a a lemon wedge or 2  its not bad! 

I got the fertiliTea on Amazon, I think it was kinda pricey at 14.95 but if it helps than its worth it!

@JDW0325 I have had 5 HCG trigger shots (pregnyl brand name) and no side effects.  But I know some that have taken it and noticed major breast changes.  I never got that,  only time I've ever had any of that was three months on clomid!  I'm waiting for any symptoms reach time I take it,  because I know is got to mean something good. At this point,  our motto is, "anything different has to be good"!

Hi all, AF came today super early its only been 17 days since last cycle (usually every 26-28 days) but last two cycles were a bit early due to cysts. I go in for a baseline tomorrow...this is my 3rd attempt at IUI #5. We will be doing a "mock ivf" protocol to see how i respond since i will only try up to 6 IUIs before moving to ivf...the last 2 cycles were cancelled due to cysts I really hope good news tomorrow!!!

Just found out my friend who was also struggling with infertility got pregnant on her first IUI+clomid! I'm super excited for her but hate that I still have that icky twinge of jealousy that I get when I see/hear that others are pregnant. I'm so ready to be done with those bad feelings. But also gives me some hope that this treatment will work out in the end!

I can absolutely relate....unfortunately. I'm going through the same thing with a coworker. It is so hard. I am so very happy for them, but, like you mentioned, a tad jealous. I know it is completely normal but I still feel bad that I feel this way. Hopefully we both will have very good news ourselves to share!!

Okay so after 2 cycles cancelled for cysts I got the okay to start back on this cycle! This is my 2nd cycle on injectables but 5th IUI. Protocol change will be 2 vials menopur 2 vials gonal f for 5 days to see how that goes. Follow up next tues 6/14 for follicle scan. Hope I respond well this will be a good indicator of how ivf would go if I have to go that route. Goodluck ladies!

Waiting to start testing opk on the 12th. I was moody and sensitive only two out of the five days I was taking my clomid 50mg... here goes something! Hopefully my body will do what its suppose to!

Wow. Has anyone else been having super painful periods after failed IUIs? Normally a two advil pills can take the pain away, but even three pills last night barely did anything. I tried hot compresses, cold compresses, and even a tens machine. Eventually they died down a bit so I could sleep, but I was writhing and moaning in pain for hours. I'm not sure which drugs (or combination thereof) are responsible for this but ughhhh that was horrible. This makes me worry what it will be like when I prep for IVF where I can only assume the doses will be higher to increase follicle production.

@LeFemmeViolette Oh my goodness YES, I thought I was going to fall over it was so painful! I used a heating pad to try and help ease the pain, also some tylenol, extra strength

I havent taken ibuprofen since my last IUI bc my RE said not to since its an anti inflammatory and that can cause problems with fertility treatments.   

I suspect its the Clomid, because thats really all im on minus the trigger, but if your on other STIMS than that may make it even worse

I just finished my third injection of the gonal-f (did 150 of whatever the units are each day) and have an ultrasound and bloodwork scheduled for tomorrow morning. Hoping I'm responding well.

Everything looked good this morning. I have 2 follies at 14, one on each side.

I haven't posted in a couple months, but I am hoping for a successful month this month, otherwise we have a consultation with the doctor for IVF on the 28th. 
This month I took femara days 3-7 and boy did I have more side effects this month. I went in for my mid-cycle today (Day 11) and there were 6 follicles, 3 are mature at 20, 17.5 and 17 the others were at 12.5, 10 and 9.5. This is a big improvement for me since my first IUI we had 2 at 16 and the second I had 1 at 23. The nurse and ultrasound tech seemed excited by me having 3 this time... Finger Crossed. I triggered this morning and will have IUI #3 tomorrow. Hopefully third times the charm because otherwise we will be moving on to figure out finances for IVF.
