June IUI

Hi Ladies - I don't see that this has been started yet. Here we go! I apparently take a very long time to respond to anything so I am currently on CD15 and am still monitoring a few growing follicles. This will be our first IUI, but probably last cycle with Femara only - moving on to injectables.

Let's make the June IUI board a successful one!

GTKY: What are your plans this Memorial Day wknd?

We are being super lazy this weekend. We have some rain in the forecast but will try to pull up a patio for some drinks or play golf! It is also our anniversary on Monday so I'm sure we'll do something to celebrate!

    Thanks for starting this!

I am just beginning my first IUI cycle with Letrozole. I suspect that the IUI will be on June 6th or 7th and I am ridiculously hopeful. Lots going on this month - new job, new house, going back to school for a teaching credential in the fall - why not have another dream come true? I shall now find some wood to knock on!

I have hope for us all!

June should be the month for my second IUI, so I am joining in.  I have an ultrasound and bloodwork Tuesday morning.  If all looks good then I can stop the BCP, wait for AF and then start injectables (Gonal-F).  Good luck to everyone this month!!!

    As for this weekend:
    Tomorrow: Dinner with friends
Sunday: One of my husband's friends is going to be on Food Network so we are going to a viewing party for that.
Monday: Nothing, and I'm pretty excited about it.

Looks like this will be the month for my first IUI. AF should be towards the middle/end of June with Femera CD 3-7 then mid cycle ultrasound and trigger shot. IUI to follow. So excited to finally give this a try! Good luck to all you ladies! I sure hope June brings some BFPs!!!

DH and I are attending both our little brothers graduations this weekend. Then back home Sunday and I'll be back to work on Monday. Yay for time and half. Have to pay for that IUI somehow.

I'm not sure yet if I will be joining in and having my IUI this month or not. I just did my MRI yesterday to check my ute and should have the results back Tuesday. Fx that all looks good and I can move on, but realistically I'm not sure I will. I'll either be having laparoscopy and hysteroscopy mid June or an IUI.

I hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend. I kicked mine off on Friday with my 3rd IUI. It's been a while since I've had one (details in siggy, TW) I had one good follicle at 24 mm. Although I had my IUI late May, I'll be joining this board since my TWW will be mainly in June.  Hope we get some BFPs :)

I'm pretty sure I Introed on this board, but I can't totally remember, so excuse me if I haven't!
I'm expecting to trigger tomorrow and IUI with DS on June 1. I will not miss the injection monkey on my back! But I am thankful for 4 follies growing.

This weekend I tried, unsuccessfully, to potty train my DD and enjoyed my first days off of summer vacation.

    Hoping for BFPs all around!

hi @madasm0530. Good luck with your first IUI!

I just finished my Femara and go for my folli check Thursday. Praying I have some big boys!! If all goes well, trigger shot Thursday night, and my first IUI will be Saturday morning!

I feel like I'm never going to start my first IUI. I spotted Tuesday- Friday last week and AF never came. So called my RE today to take 5 days of provera to induce. Hopefully it'll start as soon as I finish, but last time it took another 10 days after I stopped the prevara to even start! I'm so tired of waiting and waiting! Never in my life would I have thought I'd be so anxious to start my period!

@Toby102008 I feel like I'm never going to start an IUI either.

I went today for a follie check and the one guy that I had that was doing something has slowed significantly.. I have a 12 and 14.5. I am waiting on a call, but I assum that it's going to be that I start provera and move on to the next cycle.

Anyone have any experience with not responding to clomid OR femara? Im at a loss.

Hi girls! Well since I had 2 attempts at IUI #5 in May get cancelled due to a cyst I will be joining you all *hopefully* this month for the 3rd attempt at IUI#5. IUI 1-3 were on clomid with 1-2 mature follicles and IUI#4 was injectables 1 mature follicle I responded worse and RE says its because the dosage probably wasn't exactly right and switching meds its a guessing game. I guess thats what we do try a protocol if it doesn't work move on to another! Should start af early-mid June for IUI late June. This time RE wants to do a "mock" IVF protocol to mimic almost exactly the same meds/dosages to see how I respond. I'm so nervous I won't respond well at all :( being 28 with DOR really sucks!! I wish you all the best of luck!!!

Just heard from the nurse and we're good to go for IUI tomorrow. I'm super hopeful with 6 follies between 18-22! After just 1 on clomid, this is amazing news to me. Not looking forward to the TWW but really hoping this is all worth it

@madasm0530 I did not respond to the Clomid. One month out of 3 OPKs said I ovulated on day 22, but we don't know if I really did or not. All mid cycle ultrasounds showed follies were not maturing. That was when I was seeing my OBGYN. I'm starting Femara this cycle with the IUI and am so scared I won't respond to it either. Injectables up the cost and everything is OOP for us. Let us know what happens and good luck!

    8dpiui today...

Feeling pretty good this time around. Not as much of a reaction to the progesterone as the previous times. Definitely getting impatient, though. I've heard there's less idle time with IVF, so if we end up going that route I look forward to feeling more proactive.

I'm having my first iui this month. I started letrozole today and if everything looks good at my appointment on the 8th I will do my trigger shot that day and then iui on the 9th!

@LeFemmeViolette and everyone. I received the progesterone inserts with my medications today. Everyone says how awful they are, but what should I expect?

@mmd1986 I don't have any answers for you unfortunately, but I do have a question about the progesterone. I hear a lot of people on here taking them as suppositories. What is the reasoning for this and what are they supposed to do?

    @Toby102008 and @MMD1986:

I think the suppositories are the lesser of the two evils. Pretty sure the only other way to get progesterone in your system is by a shot in your love handles. I think the benefit for using suppositories is it gets the progesterone to your uterus faster.

This is round 3 of suppositories for me, and I've picked up a few products that help make the process less sucky.

    1) These applicators make the insertion process soooo much better.
    2) I bought some THINX underwear to wear overnight so I don't have to keep using pads to catch all the goop (yes there will be goop).

As far as side effects go, I've had some pretty bad bloating, but that's about the worst of it. I feel like this third time has not been as bad.

    Good luck and FX!

June will be our last IUI. I've scheduled our IVF consultation for the 14th, and we figured we may as well just try one more IUI while waiting. :) Currently on cycle day 2.

@ADRIANAC1982 good luck with yours as well! I'm actually heading to the clinic right now to get my clomid. Sounds like we are going to be IVF buddies! ;) (if our IUIs don't go as planned, that is...fingers crossed!)
