We are team green and are pretty much set on our boy name. Girl names have been narrowed down to two (unless something else comes along that we haven't thought of). Which do you like better? Adrienne Noelle Carmen Noelle
Ok guys.... my husband had a "sign" the other day while walking our dog and he suggested the name Fox. If we go with that and his middle name we had already decided it would be Fox Howard. I'm kinda liking it, but I don't want to be viewed as one of those weirdos who can't pick a real name- but it is seriously growing on me everyday.
I love the name Fox! Like a PP I think of Fox Mulder (who is an excellent character) who I adore! I say go for it

Personally, I like Carmen better given the two choices
@andromedacorrine I agree with sagoon - you name your baby what you want. Fwiw I don't think Ramona and Raeliene are similar at all. They share two letters but none of the vowel sounds rhyme - I would tell my MIL and SIL "I'm sorry you feel that way but that's not my problem"
I wish it was just them, but my parents are doing it too. They did with my son. Mil and sils never had an issue with our sons name but since it's a girl it's like a huge deal. My parents wanted to call my son by his first middle name because they liked it better and I told them I didn't want to do that. So this time around they're all about what names they like....I'm like...you named me and my sister, back off.

If I were you, I'd stop talking about the name with people who aren't your fiance. Unless they're going to tell you that they like it, it's rude of them to offer an opinion (unless you outright ask them what they think, in which case you've literally asked for it!). They probably wouldn't say anything negative about the name if you waited until after baby's here to tell them what you picked, and if they do, you'll have already named the baby - too late for their negative opinions to change your mind! Anyway, the only 2 people whose opinions on this matter are you and your fiance. If you both love Raeliene, use it. Everyone else will get over it if they don't like it

True. My aunt and uncle did that with both their girls, kept the names secret til they came. Like I said, with my son it wasn't a big deal, except when I added his 2nd middle name for .y grandfather. But my parents are being super pushy about the names and I don't understand why. They didn't like my sons first name so much, but with her, they're all crazy about what names they like. My fiances kinda given up, he said he likes Delanie the most and whatever I want for middle name (s). (Not sure if we're doing 2 again. Son and I both have 2 and I like the trend) my parents are also nerds, so they keep giving g me these outrageous names and then are offended when I tell them absolutely not. (They named me for a Greek princess, what do I expect right?) As for his sisters...well his family is the definition of close knit family. They know everything going on with each other at all times. It's been kinda hard to adjust to since day one, since I only have a little sister 10 years younger. It got worse when my son was born too. They're all close in age. His oldest sister doesn't much like me, so she hasn't really liked anything I do, but his youngest sister is very pushy and very much a "do it how I tell you person". And he doesn't know how to just keep his mouth shut when around them so it wouldn't matter if I talked to just him. Since he sees them everyday they would just know anyone. If he didn't tell one, the others would tell each other. But I think we finally agreed on a full name. I know we agree on Delanie for sure.
