Now that a lot of people know the sex of their babies, has anyone chosen a name? Or if you are team green or don't know yet, do you have a list your are deciding from?
This may not be flame-free, so post at your own risk!
We decided on our girl name well before I was even pregnant and my husband picked it out. We went to Nepal last year and hiked near Annapurna mountain. My husband was so amazing by it he said he would want to name our future daughter Anna. Her middle name will be Rowe after my moms maiden name. I just think it is so simple, classic and pretty.
I love the name Charlie but my husband isn't 100% on board yet. I'd like his name to be Charles "Charlie" Finn. Finn is my maiden name which now probably gives out way too much personal information!
I thought I would have such an easy time thinking of names, but it's so hard! I've only been able to think of a couple girl names that sound nice, but I'm struggling. DH is also no help in this department haha. I thought looking at lists of names online would be helpful, but all it's done is made me sad to see how many strange spelling variations of normal names there are now. Anyone have any tips or great places they looked for names? We find out the sex in 10-14 days once our verifi test comes back.

Me: 32 │ DH: 35 Married 8/16/13 BFP#1 DS 11/13/16 BFP# 2 MMC dx @ 13w 10/30/18 BFP# 3 Preemie DD born at 38w (IUGR) on 8/28/19 weighing 5.5lbs. Our little miracle
We like Emma or Olivia for a girl with the middle name Rose (family name) and Dean for a boy. I think I like my girl names better, but we're not set on anything yet and still might add others to the list.
We have no names. Or, more accurately, we have about 30 names. It's kinda driving me insane. We usually have two names set in stone by the time I'm 6 weeks pregnant, so this is kinda disorienting. Hopefully when we find out if it's a girl or a boy we'll be able to narrow in on it. We do have middle names though, which will be either Thelma or Thomas.
Husband has his heart set on Jack. I am almost completely on board, but I like to cast a wide net. There's time yet to finalize. I might use my maiden name as his middle name since it's an actual, if not rare, guy's name.
We fell so hard in love with DS1's name that I want to make sure we do the same for this LittleChunk.
Would love to stay in the gaelic theme we have going on. Anyone have any baby name websites they find helpful? I know Nymbler was a great one last time.
Our boy name is Jonah Holmes. We've struggled with a girl name and have been going back and forth. Right now we've decided on Isla...who knows if that will change. H likes Quinn for a MN and although I like Quinn as well, I also love Winter. Isla Quinn or Isla Winter... I just don't know!

they definitely tend more towards the unusual (but remain staunchly in the "real name" category) so there's not a lot of love for current trends or trendy spellings but take a look!
@HomeyDontPlayThat I've been poking around nameberry.com. They have some fun explanations of name meanings, and I like some of their lists too. Gaelic names are some of my favorites too. Unfortunately they don't have (even close to) every name I've wanted to find though.
@HomeyDontPlayThat My best friend's husband was dead set on Jack too! She finally gave in and now she absolutely loves it! It fits him perfectly! @shallowseas Isla Quinn is beautiful!!!! Great flow to it!
Isla was totally on my short list for a girl. It's gorgeous. I also had Gigi, Nola and Leigh. I liked Lila a few years ago but then everyone blew it up, much like Stella, Liam, etc. I still love the names, but I can't put DS in school with 7 other Liams.
Thanks for the tip ladies! Now that we know for sure it's a boy, we are obsessed with the hunt!
@heyboohey thanks!! I think it flows well too. We have a long last name so I like that Quinn is just one syllable. H picked it because of Harley Quinn...and Holmes he chose for Sherlock lol, but Quinn is pretty so maybe I'll go for it

I love Liam too, but it is everywhere! You could always make it unique with some extra letters... Leeyam? Haha!
We picked a name. It's the one thing we will keep a secret from everyone until birth though so I can't play along. But I love it! @ShallowSeas my sons middle name is Quinn.
Oh yes I forgot about Behind the Name...they're probably my most trusted name resource on the interwebz for meanings and origins! Great suggestion @FinePlacentaPie (also your name makes me giggle).
Isla is in our top list for girls as well! Along with Reina, Violet & Willow (DH likes Alice too, but it's too popular for me now). Middle name will be Ruth after my grandma (if we have two girls, the second one will have the middle name Maren which is a smoosh of our mom's names).
Boys we're having a lot more trouble with. Topping that list right now: Donovan, Marshall & Sidney. Middle name will be Daniel (if we have two boys the second will have a middle name with "Ford" in it somewhere as it's an old family name on my side).
I'm so anxious to find out who's in there so we can really start narrowing things down. I have been a name geek since I was probably 12, so it's hard for me to cut names off my list!
We're considering Dexter for a boy Tabitha for a girl (I'm Samantha and look a little like middle aged Elizabeth Montgomery, if you grew up on old TV) But who knows. There's many months to figure this out!

I love Thelma. It's just a classic 20s girl's name, I always imagine a very happy flapper.
I wore my husband down and we finally decided on Levi
It was my favorite from the beginning. So it will probably be Levi Michael (my husband's name...I like this one better) or Levi Andrew (my husband's middle name).
So we will have Riley Ann and Levi Michael (hopefully)
Literally the first day of our honeymoon, H and I decided on Louisa June for a girl and Ernest Hardeman for a boy--Louisa just because it's been one of my favorites for many years, and Ernest because H and I love Hemingway and have good memories of reading his short stories together when we first started dating. (June and Hardeman are both family names from H's side.) But when we actually got successfully pregnant, I grew some reservations about Ernest, both because I'm not sure I want to name my son after an alcoholic misogynist who ended his own life (wonderful as his writing may be), and because the name itself sounds a little too "NASCAR" to me... So we nixed Ernest, and have now settled on Frederick Hardeman for a boy, after my grandfather. I think we're still pretty settled on Louisa June, although yesterday we also tossed around the idea of Lottie June, and I'm liking it more and more the more I think about it... Lottie is also a family name from my side, and the name is shared by Lottie Moon, a famous 19th-century missionary whom I'd love my daughter to learn about and look up to. We won't find out the sex until our a/s, so I may try not think about it too hard until then.
My mom suggested the name Drew. I'm sure she meant for a boy but I love it for a girl. Dh has a cousin (male) by that name so he vetoed it. I loved Sofia Evelyn but I think Sofia is to popular. I literally have no idea for a boy.
With DS it took us about 30 seconds to agree on Jack long before we knew it was a boy. Dh keeps making noises about naming the baby after him if it's a boy. Ummmm you don't even go by your given name why would you give it to a baby.
I want James after my dad. Middle name would be Cooke because of tradition and DH side of the family. DH is a little hesitant because James Cooke sounds like the historical figure but I remind him no one is going to call him that because it's just a middle name not a last name. He's not 100% on board yet but it's our only name at this point.
We change our minds every week it seems so we have no idea yet. We have plenty of time though.
Giirl- Korra or Cora, Coraline, Alice, Emma, Emily, Ella Boy- Gavin, Cyrus, Silas
I would really like to have my grandfathers name (Bradford Cyrus) somewhere in the boys name, but Bradford is way too close to DFs name Bradley and he hates the name Cyrus (which I absolutely love). We can't seem to agree on anything.
@Little+Tiny I wanted Cora on our girl name list but H vetoed it I'm still really sad over it.

We have been 100% set on Emily for a girl for years (after my grandmother), but my cousin just named her daughter Emily. Normally I wouldn't care because I come from a huge extended family and we have some duplicates already, but little Emily was born at 24 weeks and has had a really rough couple of months with a very long road ahead and it seems inconsiderate to name our baby the same thing right now.
Now that we know for sure that we're having a girl, it's back to the drawing board for us. We're having a hard time coming up with names we like but right now the list is Julia, Lydia, Molly and Winnie. We won't pick a final name until we get to meet her though.
We don't know the sex yet but have a name picked out for a girl but have no idea if it's a boy. We have one name that we both like but can't decide on a middle name. Part of me wants it to be a name of someone in the family but we don't want to hurt or offend someone for not choosing their name, even though I'm sure no one would really feel that way but I think deep down inside they might? I'm just trying to be sensitive.
I haven't shared with DH yet, because he's notorious for vetoing, but I love Devan Lily for a girl. It's the only one that feels "right". Then again, there is so much time left, my view may change. We're Team Green though, and surprisingly, boys' names have not been coming to me nearly as strongly. This is in complete opposition to last pregnancy - also team green, DS was born Oct. '13. I guess this has me leaning towards girl this time, but who knows?!? I like Graham for a boy, but hubby vetoed. I have a list of about 15 names each that I edit from time to time. We probably won't "officially" talk names for quite a while yet.
H vetoes everything but has no suggestions of his own. The ones he hasn't hated - Hazel (my favorite for years) Autumn, Olivia, Harper and for boys, Archer and Miles
Well I was in love with all of our girl names and none of our boy names excite me. I keep looking, adding to the list and figuring that a few months from now that a few will seem like winners.
Question: If you had a "friend" from HS that you haven't seen in 12 years (you have some mutual friends still) and she names her son one of the only names you really love, would you take it off your list? I'm more inclined to just remove her as a friend on FB, and keep the name on my list! Hahaha.

I love Bella for a girl and Felix for a boy - DH doesn't like either, says Bella is associated with twilight movies and Felix sounds like a cat. All he's come up with is weird names from Shakespeare plays
We did have names picked out but I'm the worst at second guessing myself and thinking the girl name is too "out there". I like unique names but don't want to name my kid something horribly tragic.
