Spencer reminds me of Princess Di, and William of Prince William, so I don't like them together.
But Spencer itself, I kinda dig.

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is spencer from the hills
?
This... and I despise him.?
Yeah, I can't get past The Hills reference, and I think I only watched about 3 minutes of that show.? I do like William though!
?
I think of Spencer Pratt too but he is really a C-list celebrity whose 5 minutes of fame are just about over so I dont want to negate the name because of him?

I like it. I think of Spencer Tracy, which apparently makes me old since I'm the only one that did. I think he is a major Hollywood icon as opposed to the reality tv kid.
I think it is a great, underused, normal, MALE name.
I like the name Spencer. Just not with William as the MN. Is William an important name to you? What about Spencer Thomas, Spencer James, Spencer Michael?
I REALLY wouldn't worry about the "Spencer from The HIlls" reference. That guy has already off the radar. Give it a few more years and no one will remember him. I actually watched that ridiculous show and I didn't even associate the name with him.
I love that name...it does have a nerdy coolness to it. Good choice!

Not a huge fan (though I like English names), seems kind of dated trendy to me (like Ashley/Courtney, etc.), but maybe that's b/c I have a cousin w/this name. Love William.

The first person I think of is a former professor of mine. His first name was Spencer (we called that as opposed to Dr. X) and he was a STITCH. His theory about breeding tendencies of redheaded humans (he was a population geneticist) was just hysterical! I like them name, but only because of my association with a funny guy.
Re: Do you like the name Spencer?
I don't like Spencer, although I don't like many others with the same feel.

I see you picked Anderson- I would totally have gone with that if DH would have agreed! My DH's name is Michael- seems like we like similar names!
?
I have always loved Spencer. DH vetoed it right away because it isn't "traditional" enough for him, but I think it's a great name!!

For a girl, yes. For a boy, no. <~~For the first name that is.

If I were a boy I would have been named Spencer.
Sounds nice with William too:)

I really like the name Spencer (nn Spence)!
I think of Spencer Reed from Criminal Minds and I love his character! So this would be a good connection!
