Anyone else feeling a little behind with all these late April births/early May due dates? I thought it might be nice to have a thread going for those of us due much later in May to complain about how far behind everyone else we are or chat about things that everyone else was discussing a month ago when we couldn't relate. Crazy how different things are for people 3-4 weeks behind, especially at the end of the pregnancy!
Re: Late May Due Dates
As far as labor signs.. I've had just a few BH contractions, and will randomly get mild cramping in my lower belly.

One way to look at it if you're working is a lot of the mom's that have already had their babies will be going back to work sooner, and we will get to enjoy maternity leave later... Not much of a silver lining but it's something.

Just getting to the point where I'm feeling done with being pregnant. Tired of being sore and now always having to pee everytime I stand up. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to keep her in for as long as possible - but I look forward to the next step and not having it all looming over me.
Also, I can't wait to get all of my tasks done. This will be a big weekend for nursery set up and bottle sterilizing.
Deffinatly done being pregnant and working just this past week and a half the not being able to get comfy and sleep hit me. I feel bad for my SO I flop sides like every 1-2hrs and he usually wakes up no matter how slow I try. Plus people at work are just doing stupid things/mistakes and its not the hormones I swear lol. Plus the swollen vag just started a few days ago so the office chairs are now extra uncomfortable :P
It is kind of nice though hearing all their symptoms ahead of time so when they happen I just like ok great(insert sarcasm) Im at that point now instead of questioning if I should be swelling down there lol
@bshurdy I saw your hdbd & was wondering about the date! lol Anytime I see someone isn't as far along as me, I'm like waaaiiit a minute, then they aren't May! lol-- I also thought I should've had an early EDD, but it may be a blessing in disguise if you go over and they start talking induction. Gives you a little extra wiggle room.
We went bulk shopping tonight so this weekend I'll be doing freezer meals and I'm pretty sure we won't need toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies/laundry detergent, some hygiene items, bottled water/gatorade, and some basic snacks for a few months. My goal for about two-three months now has been to finish all of my major baby to do's by May so I can just relax at home after work & on the weekends until baby comes.
I'm just starting my weekly Doctor appointments so that's exciting
People call me crazy, but I'm gonna miss my bump! So I'm trying to just really enjoy these last few weeks - this weekend I'm determined to get our bags packed just so I can be done and not worry about it! I watched "The Business of being born" and "More business of being born" tonight on Netflix - I'm no granola and I'm plan to be in a hospital but it was a good watch, very informational and encouraging! Can't wait to see you all on the birth announcment thread in a few weeks - they say the best are last!
My mom gets here from Seattle (where I grew up) the day before my due date so I would be ok with him waiting until then. We moved to CT about a year and a half ago for my husband's job and don't have any family or close friends to help out so it will be nice to have my mom here at the beginning. So soon!!
Really loving this thread!! Like the rest of you I feel like every time I am able to contribute to a thread there is about 300 comments and it is so old news. Haha!
I have the lightening crotch, heartburn, BH pretty much anytime I try to do anything physical, leg/hip/foot pain and occasional nausea and headaches. I am mostly able to sleep through the night with the help of Unisom though.
If I could stop working and watch netflix, maybe I'd be better....
I'm due on the 23rd and just had my shower yesterday (4/30)! Twinning
