I'm too tired for it to be Monday. I seriously hope my survival instincts kick in when this baby is born. Right now I am tired all the freaking time and I really get plenty of sleep... I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the surviving on little sleep thing.
Had to bring my car to the dealership for service this morning. I love sports, really I do, but why oh why is it always the only thing on TV's in waiting rooms and at restaurants? Just feels a little sexist (for lack of a better word). What's wrong with some news, food network, or I don't know, any over channel?
I totally just changed the channel to Twilight. #noshame
I was up from 1:30-5:00 last night. I called out of work today because I'm too tired. I have no idea how I'm going to function after this baby gets here.
Add me to the list of exhausted Mamas-to-be! Turned back & forth all night trying to get comfortable and then had a nightmare that I lost the baby. Woke up at 4am and laid awake needing to pee but afraid to go to the bathroom. Have a busy day at work today and an event that I am a chairperson for tonight - I'll be so thankful when today is over!
So this may have already been brought up in BTDT mom's thread....But what are you guys planning on wearing after delivering/showering/whatever. I thought about a boxer/button up top pj set. Is that overkill? Should I be wearing less with skin to skin? We don't plan on having hospital visitors so I'm not worried about looking put together. Just not sure what to expect...
For me, the weekend is over after like 3 or 4pm on Sunday. I start dreading Monday.
@theshannondeeI plan to stay in my hospital gown pretty much the entire stay. It was comfortable enough, and I wouldn't want to risk getting any of my own clothes soiled while I get into the routine of the mesh panties + ice pack pad + tucks combo.
@shannondee I brought tanks and jersey shorts, plus my bathrobe. But that was winter time. I plan to live in tanks and shorts again. I wasn't all that comfortable in the gown but if you are, that works, too.

The hospital was freezing and probably will be in July, too. I wore loose-fitting pajama/jogging pants and nursing tanks. The gown got old for me really quickly.
DH came home from a 4 day work trip around midnight. I really didn't like having to share the bed again! However, hearing DD's pitter-patter of feet down our hallway this morning, then squeal with delight because Daddy was in the bed was just too adorable. Then she kissed his head and remarked that he had hair (he shaves his head but must not have done so in a few days).
Then DD shoved her foot in DH's face and said, "Daddy, look at my nails! A person painted them at the toe nail store!" I took her to get a pedicure with me this weekend. She also attended her first non-family birthday party and a festival. But the nails were the most important! LOL!
I'm debating playing hooky from work one day this week. I haven't take off any sick days this pregnancy and have only had the scheduled holidays (thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) off. I'm the type though that worries I will actually get sick after faking it. Mental health day or suck it up?
Nesting has taken over my weekends. I mean, I am doing housework over homework and that is ridiculous.
Prior weekends have been spent painting, setting up furniture, and decorating my son's new room. We also did some deep bathroom cleaning. Last weekend, I did a complete overhaul of my closet and serious yard work. This weekend, I re-stuffed my boppy pillows, cleaned out the linen closet, donated my old clothes and linens, cleaned out my son's closet, and re-organized and cleaned the laundry room.
What in THE hell? These are projects that I've been meaning to do FOREVER. My husband tried to help as much as he could but I was on a damn roll.
Is it ridiculous as a FTM I didn't realize I could wear something other than the gown? Chalk it up to noob experience. This time, it'll definitely be yoga pants and nursing tanks!
My puppy is going in for surgery on Thursday to get fixed and to fix her two hernias. It's normally not that big of a deal but because she's only 2 pounds it makes it more tricky. Plus she's always had a reaction to her puppy shots so it makes me even more nervous to how she'll react to the anesthesia. It needs to be done otherwise it could become life threatening but still I feel like it's going to be a super long week

Littles can be really weird with vaccines, especially certain breeds, but they are usually just fine with anesthesia. I'm sure you're vet is great and will take great care of her! I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery!
@theshannondee I bought cute new pajamas that I saved for the hospital stay. Go for dark printed, loose bottoms (don't wear anything fitted...the mesh panties, pads, and ice packs take up a lot of space, and you want to be comfortable), and a top that's easy to maneuver for nursing. I have every intention of having a new set again this time. With everything you go through, it's nice to have something new and "put-together" after the baby is born.
@ButterMyBiscuit boppy pillows can be re-stuffed? We had some passed along to us and I was planning on washing and using a slipcover, but it would be great to re-stuff them as well!
@hreed7289 Mine were pretty flat and that's actually the reason I stopped using them with my first baby. It didn't dawn on me that I could cut the outside seam, stuff them with poly-fil, and sew them back up! It was a little tedious but they're both super firm now!

My mom asked me about this the other day (she wants to buy me something). I told her the mesh underwear was as far as I'd gotten in my thoughts about the subject. I think various in laws will be visiting so I want to look half human I guess.
For those inquiring about what to wear at the hospital, agreed that there is a lot of bleeding those first couple days, so just make sure what you bring is dark colored and that you size up a bit account for the big pads and mesh undies. I loved being in something other than my gown postpartum. It made me feel better. And dare I say pretty?
I just stumbled upon these pieces at Walmart and they are perfect for after delivery. Comfortable, practical, cheap ($20 for top and bottom) and look nice for the visitors. Drawstring waist, soft, and loose fitting bottoms. They have shorts, capris, and pants. I also got what they label a "robe" but is more of a duster.. People still remember those right? I plan on layering a nursing tank underneath. @theshannondee
I wore my bleach-stained "cleaning shorts" and a t-shirt. My slipper socks and pillow from home were amazing to have. This time, I'm bringing a towel and wash cloth from home instead of using the sandpaper towels the hospital had.
I have to take my pooch to the vet today so of course he goes into panic mode and starts shaking like crazy, when we get into the exam room he hides behind my legs or jumps up and climbs in my lap... I hate seeing him so upset- breaks my heart... But there's a small part of me that sorta loves that he wants his mama when he's scared...
Fuck me. My computer apparently had a window up saying to update to windows ten, and was frozen for a second and I ended up clicking it. Now I am sitting staring at my computer update, super pissed that I didn't save what I was working on before this shit started. Sorry folks, your test review is going to be extra crapoy today because your teacher can't computer.
It has been 30 minutes and is only at 32%. I want to cry. I am also at Starbucks and have the urge to vomit, but don't want to. Plus I am not wearing a panty liner, so I will pee my pants.
I'm getting a mom-mobile/my forever car today!!! We went to look at it this weekend and mull it over and I'm just so excited!
Backstory: I totaled my first new car, a Honda Civic, a few months after paying it off here in Pittsburgh in a snowstorm. I was desperate for a car and needed it to be AWD after my accident. So I went with a recommendation from my SIL and bought that car. Ugh. I've disliked it almost since the day I got it 4 years ago.
So now with the baby on the way, it's time for a safe & reliable car that I'm excited to have and will have for as long as it lasts! And it will be so nice to go back to a Honda vehicle, which I trust and love the service departments.
So where I work, there is a bathroom entrance right in the lobby where my customer's sit...I have a weird thing about going to the bathroom while my customer is there...and now it's been a half hour and the customer is still waiting, not great for a pregnant woman.

Who stayed up to watch GOT even though she had to wake up at 4:30 this morning?
