Welp I'm 4dpiui....feeling good. No plans for the weekend so I'll be catching up on some much needed sleep....RE had some difficulty with my IUI this time....my cervix wasn't coperating...it didn't wanna let the catheter in....She had to use the dreaded clamp (same one as used in the HSG dye test) I had cramps and bled for the rest of the day. You would think my cervix would be use to it by now but nope! I haven't felt anything since day of IUI....usually I feel ovulation cramps/pains but nothing this time....I'm not gonna read too much into it.....almost 1 week down!!
GL to all the ladies having their IUI this weekend and the upcoming week!! Hoping for lots of BFPs this cycle!!

    @pmjb Yay for cysts gone!

My RE called and they want me to come in tomorrow to do labs and an ultrasound. They agreed that 20 days past a positive OPK is way out of whack. They said if my lining is thin enough and labs are good I'll just start Femara Sunday. If lining is too thick or labs are bad, then I will start Provera Sunday. Either way, something is going to change.

@Monica54321 good luck with your tww!  That sounds like a painful problem with the uterus issue and I hope they figure it out if there is a next time - but hopefully there's no next time!

@ale9687 hope that injectables are a better option for you next cycle!

@roxgibbons well it sounds like you are able to do the self-care and that's great!  Especially after such a tough thing to go through!  I always have lofty expectations that I am going to journal/read spiritual books/meditate but just end up binge watching something instead!  I really need to just force myself to do those things - because they have worked before when I have dealt with stressful times in my life.

@LMart85 haha - the dreaded clamp.  I have nightmares about that thing from my HCG - the lady could not get it to work and was fiddling with it for what seemed like ever...

@paigeed - are the femara/provera to induce your period?  Just curious what those medicines will do.

Update on me:  No follies on left side due to endometrioma size this month.  That's scary for us.  When we started in March we were getting a bunch on that side.  I am glad we are moving to IVF next time (I hope we don't need to!!!) and RE is going to drain the endometrioma. RE says this will help our chances and decrease my pain.  My right ovary is looking good though.  I call her "Beyonce" since she's my champ.  It looks as though we will trigger on Monday instead of this weekend.  I went in today and RE is monitoring 2 on the right size that look to be about 14/15 right now.

@freudianmamma the Provera would induce my period. The Femara is another fertility drug that I could take if my eater oven levels are low and progesterone is non existent due to not ovulating yet.

I I just had my ultrasound and the doc said she really couldn't tell if I had ovulated or not yet and would need to look at my labs first. Alas I wait until this afternoon to know my next steps.

You can remove me from the list. Got a call from my RE today. I have 2 cysts (still) they are larger than my last US and one is hemorragic. He cancelled the next cycle as well and told me to call during CD1 of my NEXT cycle (not the one starting tomorrow). So, I'm benched another month. Maybe I'll get to be a part of end of June IUI or beginning July IUI. If the cysts are still there at the end of June/beginning of July I will be having surgery to remove them...and possibly benched even another cycle.

I'm bummed, and nervous, and scared. Good luck to the rest of you.

I'm officially in 2ww status!!!!!! Very nervous...of course. We actually decided to do TI this cycle.
After speaking with my RE...per him IUI is more successful for patients who have MFI. Otherwise, its success rate is the same as timed intercourse
DH- s/a count is always above 60 million with 60-70%motilty. So, we'll see.
May 5th - had two great follies 22 and 23
    May 5th - triggered at 2100hrs
    Baby danced......4th, 5th, 6th (twice), 7th and 8th. (TMI ) hopefully, we didn't miss either egg...lol
    Checking progesterone on May 12th,
    Beta on May 19th.
@wifeinraleigh28 - prayers for u ....you'll be joining us in the tww soon.
@srh18 ---hope ur relaxing and enjoying yourself

Thank you for the well wishes everyone!  We had our IUI this morning, but unfortunately it was our lowest sperm count yet.  I've been feeling really down in the dumps and trying hard to lift my spirits and remain hopeful, since there's nothing we can do about it at this point.  I know it only takes one.

Sorry about your cancelled cycle @paigeed and I hope you won't need to be benched for too long!

At the beginning of our ttc journey my dh sperm motility was at 20% took those vitamins regiliously after 1 month it was up to 60% prewashing and 98% post wash!!!! So way to go!!!!! Hope we make through the 2ww successfully  :)
  • @ADRIANAC1982 That's great that his motility was so good! Motility is an issue for us as well. My doctor told us only how many "motile" sperm were put in for the IUI. They said 65% pre-wash motility and 12 million motile sperm post-wash. So I imagine that the wash gets those last guys out of there leading to a super high motility rate. Good luck!
  • @wifeinraleigh28  I'm sorry. This whole process is so full of highs and lows. It does only take one, but I do understand your disappointment. You did seem to have a lot of follies so hopefully that helps. I hope you are relaxing today and taking good care of yourself.

@Monica54321 I totally understand being down in the dumps- like I mentioned to @wifeinraleigh28 this whole process is so full of highs and lows. I remember in past IUIs being so pumped, and then two days later feeling totally depressed about the whole thing.  I'm currently in a funk as well so I feel you!

@paigeed I'm sorry about the cancelled cycle. Being benched sucks, but hopefully you will be back in it soon.

    @CooCoo4 u good luck :)

Good luck to everyone in their TWW!!

@wifeinraleigh praying for you this cycle. I'm sorry for the disappointment this cycle.

@CooCoo4U praying so hard for you!! We ended up doing ti this cycle due to timing but I didn't feel too disappointed because our re told us the same thing--unless you have mfi, there's not s significant difference in success. Although dh's post-wash count seemed pretty low to me last month but the re didn't seem concerned (11 million post wash...they like anything over 10 and say statistically speaking there's not a higher chance of success for anything over 9 million post wash).

Afm, in the TWW. Beta is 5/20 and I will likely POAS 3-4 days before with a frer. Pretty sure we will take next cycle off if a bfn this cycle both for a breather and because we have a pretty busy June.
  • Thanks everyone!!! i feel like today was sooooooooooooo slow! But luckily I have a lot to do this weekend so I should be good! Now if only my dh would stop asking when I can pee on a stick

  • wifeinraleigh28- sorry to hear about your numbers, but I still think you have a very good shot! Hoping for the best for you.. and everyone of course :)

Monica54321- sorry to hear about the cramping, hopefully that just means everything is working and the little guys are where they need to be!

Paigeed- sorry to hear about this month.. hoping everything works out for June! I can only imagine how frustrating it is to wait even longer when we have been waiting for so long already. Hang in there!

As for me, I just had an U/S and BW after follistim for 5 days. Had good news on the left side with 8 follies (20, 17, 14 and then 4 or 5 ~10mm), so feeling very happy about that. However, only had 1 on the right side and RE had a hard time finding that ovary even. I have had my appendix out and gallbladder out, so the RE is wondering if there is some scarring or adhesions (though HSG was totally clear). So the RE did mention doing an investigative LAP if this month doesn't work. My BW came back good (Estradiol of 770 and LH only at 4.2). This means I am not close to ovulating on my own and can stim for tonight and tomorrow, to try to get more follies at 20+mm. Ill go in for another U/S and BW on wed. Its looking like my IUI will likely be on Friday morning, if everything looks ready on Wed.

I love that our group is now 20+ ladies, so statistically speaking we should have AT LEAST a few BFP in the next couple of weeks!

  • @LeFemmeViolette - love the meme!

@paigeed - so sorry to hear that you've been benched - CYSTS SUCK!

@JamieH2000 - Glad to hear give got some good follies cooking there!

AFM - I'm still in pain today, 4dpIUI. I didn't even think about calling the RE until I was leaving work, and they were already closed. I stopped by an Urgent Care and they did some blood work to confirm I wasn't fighting an infection. The dr thought there might be a slight possibility I had an ectopic pregnancy from last month's IUI that just didn't show up with my at home test, so he took a blood sample to send away for a blood pregnancy test (urine was negative). Dr thought the most likely was that it was a cyst rupture. I'm just tired of being in pain!  I plan to call the RE on the morning to get his thoughts.  I had terrible pain & cramping for almost a week after IUI #1 as well - an the OB said it was probably a cyst rupture. I'm just not sure it's worth it all this pain.

Thanks for all the thoughts everyone. My RE actually called again this afternoon to tell me he thinks I may have a septate uterus. He wants me to have an MRI to decide for sure. I'm pretty nervous. This summer is going to be emotionally draining unless I get some better news headed my way!

Im excited for all of you though and hoping so hard we have some BFPs!

  • Thank you @omarismyhomeboy, @roxgibbons, @srh18, @JamieH2000 for your kind words.  I'm feeling better today and so is DH.  He was so upset and disappointed yesterday.  If this cycle doesn't work out we will begin the screening process immediately for the IVF clinical trial that my doctor has recommended me for.  So at least I have that to look forward to.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well @Monica54321.  I hope it isn't a cyst rupture!

GL with testing over the next couple days @LeFemmeViolette!!

  • Took the trigger shot last night!  Yesterday at US we had one 21 and one 18 on my right side and one 16 on the left side.  BD last night, today, and tomorrow morning for our TI cycle.  Beta on May 25th!  Other good news is that we got bumped up on the waiting list to meet with our RE on Wednesday to discuss draining the endo cyst as the first step before we try ivf (if this TI cycle doesn't work of course!!!).

@ADRIANAC1982 - wow about taking the vitamins!  That is awesome that they have been so effective!

@wifeinraleigh28 - thinking of you and sending good vibes your way.  This process is so hard.  Take care of yourself especially well during this tww
