@littlebb22I know some is common but from what I know (which by no means is law) it is only brief (like a day or so). I'd bring it up to your doctor. Any pain?

Ok good to know- I will definitely bring it up. Just the usual cramping and occasional BH I've been enjoying for weeks now
thats what it feels like to me. My nipples become very full feeling and then start itching. After my milk comes in the full feeling spreads to include part of my boob and then the spraying begins (I have a hard letdown reflex, and have had a range of a few feet in the past ).
For or the itching, I normally just squeeze out a little colostrum and spread it around. I don't know if it's the pressure relief or the colostrum itself but it stops the itching.
36 weeks and nearly every day I get up, eat within 30 min, and within the next hour I am feeling faint to the point of everything "closing in" on me, dizzy, with cold sweats. No fun.
What are you eating? Maybe try changing up the protein/fat/carb ratio. Some people also pass out due to low blood pressure, so you could try eating more salt. This might not be your problem, though. Hope you feel better!

My dr seemed to think it was blood sugar crashing, but I have tried to switch up what I eat, and it doesn't seem to make a difference:/ I'll bring up blood pressure next time I'm in. Thanks!

I get this and had it at the end of my last pregnancy also, no matter what I eat or drink. My doctor says it could be my body's response to changing hormones at the end of pregnancy. I believe it because nothing else I modify makes me feel any better.
Lighting crotch to start off a Costco trip was super fun! I tried my best not to look like I was in labor, but the pain was stopping me in my tracks and making me do a mega-waddle. Fun times.

when this happens to me and I stop in my tracks and bend or squat down it makes me laugh to watch the terror on strangers' faces.
littlebb22 said: I hear ya. Also, a question: did anyone else continue to have bloody discharge for a full week after their cervical check? I expected a little bleeding and wasn't surprised to see that I started losing bits of my mucus plug but I'm sort of surprised that I am still having bloody mucus (sorry, I know that's gross) nearly a week later.
Not quite a full week, but I had spotting for four or five days afterward. It tapered off a little each day and stayed consistently brownish, so I never worried about it. Stopped sometime on day 5.
I have had some bouts of dizziness the last couple of days as well. I just assumed it's the pure shit I have been feeding myself. No judgment please, you can find love in food.
Also, radio silence on contractions, I'm prepping myself for no progress tomorrow. No nesting either. Just more signs from the universe this baby is comfy cozy like her sister was.
I've been having contractions since 4 am. We are scheduled for induction tonight at 6pm and I was hoping for a nice night of sleep and a day of rest. Apparently that isn't going to happen. Contractions are ranging from 7-10 mins and I am exhausted. They aren't close enough to go in to L&D on my own so I am just watching the clock to get to 6pm. Cleaning up dinner now and getting the kids all set with MIL.
The last several days people keep saying how small my bump looks for almost 39 weeks which has kind of been freaking me out. I'm seeing it too now and I'm hoping the reason is that since he dropped (dr confirmed his head is "right there" at my cervical check) the head being in the pelvis is making the bump itself look small. Google has some anecdotal stuff about this but I haven't found anything remotely scientific. Anyone else looking smaller toward the end?
I was 35w at the time, but last weekend when I saw SIL she could *not* stop exclaiming about how small my bump was. "I can't get over how small you are!" Well I am definitely over you talking about it.
Er, to be more on topic, I know I've been having contractions of some sort since the doc mentioned it the time I went in to get baby's movement monitored a few weeks ago.
Scheduled for induction on Thursday, but not sure I'm going to make it. I've been having, what I assume are, contractions. And SO much pressure on my pelvic/vaginal/bottom area. I feel like I don't need to say TMI here, everything's out the window on this thread. So in that case, I just want to poop so bad.

I've been having tons of pressure too! It went from just my pelvis to my pelvis/vagina/labia area. Hopefully that means things are rolling along?
Im really not feeling in tune with my body because I really have no idea if I'm gassy tonight or having Braxton hicks contractions. I never had them with my first pregnancy and this feels like what I would imagine they feel like but I don't really know...

I'm having a c/s Thursday! I have your same symptoms. I drank some Miralax (doc gave me her blessing) and it relieved some pressure. I think LO is pressing down on my digestive system which is adding to the pressure and not making it easy for me to poop in the first place.

I never had any BH contractions or anything till last week... At 39w2d I started feeling some menstrual-like contractions with low back pain, almost the exact feeling like my period is going to start. They last for 1-3 minuets and come every 1-2 hours. Happened more when I would move positions or in the car. Doula thought they were real pre-labor contractions and probably doing something. Now at 39w5d they have stopped. Don't know if my uterus is taking a break or if it's just being a tease. Guess this could be the false labor or maybe just leading up to the real thing.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else?
I've had menstrual like cramps for about 5 weeks now, but they've been constant. I know everyone describes their contractions as feeling very different, but for me personally, it's been the "I'm about to poop myself" cramps that are actually dilating me and making things happen and I've had those for the past week.
I have been having irregular contractions and baby's head is very engaged but that's it. No discharge or mucus plug. With my first, I didn't have any signs until hours after I was induced so even these slight contractions are exciting.
My pre-e signs have apparently backed off (which, yay! because pre-e is scary) but I still have to do a 24hr collection Wednesday and bring it in on Thursday just in case. Also, I'm measuring ahead at 42 weeks - I was measuring at 40 weeks on Friday, and I'm actually 37w5d today. On the bright side, I'll also be getting an ultrasound done at the Thursday appointment, so at least I'll get to see LO again before she's born (my last US was at 20w). Hopefully I'll be getting a cervical check as well - I know they might not mean as much in the long run, but it would be nice to know that between all the intense but sporadic as frick contractions and the pre-e worries, I've made some progress (assuming I have at all).
I'm not even sure what to think at this point. I'm miserable and the combination of hourly bathroom trips and my super heavy bump are making it really difficult to sleep and I just want to go into labor already. Also, see aforementioned pre-e scares...I am so done with this "miraculous journey" or whatever. On the other hand, I'd like to wait at least a week or so because my sister has strep and I really really wanted her to be there when I do. Also, at the same time am SO not ready for labor itself omg. And am completely terrified of being induced. Y'all have traumatized me with your pitocin stories!
Ugh. I was having pretty consistent contractions today from about 130 PM to 330 and then they started to die off. They were still pretty consistent but I didn't know if they were actually contractions since I've never even had BH before. My doctor sent me to L&D to do a labor check and here I am again back home. Whomp whomp. Still 2 cm dialated and now no contractions.
Pro tip: my friend told me the other day that her water broke in a huge gush while she was in the grocery store. She immediately dropped a jar of pickles on the floor so it would look like the mess was caused by pickle juice.

This was me over the weekend! I had no BH but started getting some contractions, I figured if they kept up I would go get checked on Monday at my OB. Of course they completely stopped, and now I'm back at work. I'm 40w in 2 days so I'm hopping I'm dilated enough to try a sweep.
I'm 39+4 today. I've been feeling SO so nauseous and totally TMI but my urine has been pretty dark too (yes, I'm drinking water). Last night had contractions for about 2 hours. Pretty consistent every 5-8 minutes. Nothing came of it though after I got out of the shower. I have my next OB appt tomorrow morning. Wish it was today.
I just lifted and moved around a bunch of file boxes and now the sprocket is kicking up a storm, which is pretty fun.
I would laugh p. hard if I actually went into labor/had my water break at work, but unfortunately I doubt that'll happen, I think I'm just getting a major kickfest of protest right now. Alas.
@bshurdy That is the best water breaking story ever. I'm so worried that will happen while I'm at work but I might look weird carrying a jar of pickles. Maybe I'll just always have an open Fresca in my hand or something!
A teacher friend of mine kept a jar of pickles on her desk when she was pregnant. So when her water broke in the middle of class, she just knocked it over and told the kids she was leaving to go get someone to clean it. I thought that was totally genius.

That is so clever!! A waste of a perfectly good jar of pickles... But at least for a greater cause haha.

I just imagine myself at the mall in a puddle of amniotic fluid and pickle juice... "weird, these pickles fell off the shelf!" "ma'am, this is JC Penny" "I know, right?"

Is dark urine regardless of hydration an impending sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of kidney issues?

How did she explain the wet spot on her pants? The pickle juice splashed up?
