Today I am grateful for: * living near the ocean...standing on the shore and looking out reminds me what a huge world it is. *being able to drive with the windows down after a long winter *being surrounded by good people in real life and right here
Today I am thankful for progress on the construction of our new home! We've had a lot of rain these last few weeks and the weather has finally been nice enough for the framers to work I am also thankful that my TWW is half way over (based off my positive OPK), and hope to test next Friday... If I can hold out that long! Hope everyone has a happy Friday and a wonderful upcoming weekend!
I'm thankful that I have a wonderful GP and a smart naturopath. I'm thankful that DH and I are working through problems and making some progress. I'm thankful for yoga - day 13 in a row today.

I am thankful that my DH is back from his 10 day work trip! It is nice to have alone time but also nice to have him back. He actually told me that one day one of the guys he was working with showed him a picture of his son and he said he kind of teared up when he saw it. This is the first time DH has ever admitted something like this since our MC- it really touched me that maybe he really is affected by this as much as I am and I need to give him more of a break.
Today I am thankful for: -My new blender! I have been trying to make smoothies more often in the morning and have been inspired by my new blender apparatus. Any smoothie recipes I need to try? - All of the women in my life who have been a "mother" to me. My own mom is awesome, but I also have a sister who is 6 years older than me that mothers me in many ways, a friend who is such a great mothering mentor, a supervisor etc. I read a cool article recently about "chosen children", as in the children or people we choose to "take care of" even if we didn't birth them, and could see that in so many ways. - Things that make me laugh. I've watching the Amazon Prime show, "Catastrophe" lately. Even though it's about a pregnancy, for some reason it doesn't bother me. My husband doesn't think it's funny at all, so it gets to be my thing!
@BornReady Ooh, a blender. I love all kinds, but try to keep them simple, they taste much better that way. Pineapple, spinach, green grapes, water. Coconut milk, pineapple, mango. Orange juice, mango, a couple peeled carrots. Grapefruit, strawberry, yogurt. Orange juice, mango, a splash of vanilla, milk/yogurt. I pump mine up with a hit of flax oil and top with flax or chia seeds and I'm super energetic for a few hours. I'm thankful for my blender, too.
Thankful for Toronto today. It's been such a healing journey learning to love a city I didn't want to move to. People are so genuine here and that makes everything easier. The health care system in this city is AMAZING, too.
Thankful that we just booked a trip to my hometown and I get to see my Grandma in thirty one days! DH has not met any of my family and as much as I detest Winnipeg, I'm so happy to take him to where I grew up.
Thankful that I locked the back door last night. We're on the second floor and the back door goes onto a deck you'd have to be Spiderman to get onto, so there's really no need. Except - EXCEPT last night we heard rumbling, went to look and there was a small raccoon trying to open the back door ...

@BornReady I'll have to look into that show. DH and I have binged on many series for the last six months with all of this loss stuff going on so I need something new.
@MWoodside Please send some sunshine my way. My weather app only knows what clouds look like lately! Hope you get some gardening banged out.
@reneeannemm I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I've been to Toronto twice and it's so lovely there! There's so much to do and see. I haven't been since I was a teen though so someday I want to go back. It's a fond memory for DH and I as it was one of the first times we ever got to spend a day together just the two of us exploring an unfamiliar place. Now I just have to get on the whole passport thing (miss the days of border hopping with a birth certificate and a smile).
Today I am thankful for:
-My car repair guy, who is super honest and affordable, especially in this time where the next wave of MC-related bills are flooding my mailbox.
-Coffee. Every. Day.
-My friends. I have many scattered nationwide and they don't forget to check in on DH and I and see how we are doing. I have to admit I'm terrible about keeping in touch.
@Wishilivedinflorida Oh, neat! Yeah, we used to go to the States all the time when all you needed was a birth certificate. Those days are done. Last time I went was 2003, we drove from Toronto to NYC and it was great.

@MWoodside & @Spartanrd4 heck yes for margaritas! Or sangria I am CD 35 so maybe I should pee on a stick before I make mine a double, but I have zero expectations for this cycle since it was unmedicated...so I think a Mexican feast & a marg sound perfect.
*I am thankful for our spring time weather we are finally having; lilacs and peonies are my favorite flowers this time of year and I can't get enough of them.
*My little fur babies who were extra snuggly and smooshy this morning. My one bunny bit my butt (such a brat) but otherwise, they were more cuddly than normal.
*Iced coffee, I am currently having a hot flash and think there will be one in my future this afternoon.
*DH...he asked what I wanted to do for mother's day and I love that he was referring to me (not our moms). He knows that even though there isn't a baby here and I am not pregnant, I can still think of myself as a mother if I want, and he always gets a little something or card from our fur kids, which is hilarious and sweet.
I'm tired and emotional today - and the rainy weather isn't helping. Today I'm thankful for DH, a friend we trust to take care of the fur babies when we want to get away for a night or two, and the fur babies.

Today I'm thankful for doctor ordered relations and the fact that even though it was "scheduled" we enjoyed our intimacy today and the rest will fall on the weekend, which is just super convenient!
I'll also sing the praises of one of my colleagues who has become a dear friend and yoga buddy. She's almost ten years older than me, and actually went to college with my oldest brother. But we get on like peas and carrots and I'm so grateful to have that in the office!
Also, definitely grateful it's finally Thursday!

Today I am thankful for: - online shopping. How amazing is it when things show up at your house? -exercise. I woke up so hopeless and depressed and a walk in the sunny, salty air has me returning with a much more positive attitude. - the sun-roof in my car. having the sun shine down on me while I drive has numerous mental health benefits.
-72 degree and sunny weather and my road bike. I'm going to ride a locally popular route today and get my cycling legs back in gear.
-DH's half days of work on Thursdays, so we can get stuff done in the afternoons. We have also been doing fire pits in the evenings lately, so we may do that as well.
-An abundance of house projects to keep me distracted from becoming BSC.
-@bornready I have to agree about the sunshine. My disposition has been much more cheery as of late.
@BornReady I was just trying to get out in the sunshine. Put on my prettiest vintage dress with my new coral cardigan and favourite sunglasses, going for a walk to hopefully stop crying and to get supplies for a party I don't want to have on Saturday.
I can be thankful for that today.

@BornReady I miss having a sunroof! I let DH talk me out of it when we bought my car in 2014 and I regret it.
@Wishilivedinflorida Sounds like an awesome day for a ride - how far do you typically ride?
I am thankful that I get to go to "Night of Champions" tonight. This is a dinner/program that honors individuals with Down syndrome who work in our community. Their employer nominates them for the recognition and everyone gets dressed up and brings their families. There are usually 6-8 awards given out and it is totally a restore-your-faith-in-humaity type of event. Tears are shed. Laughs are had. It's an awesome night.
I am also grateful for sunny skies and warmer weather (with not much humidity yet)! And that it's Thursday!

I'm thankful for... - Blue Apron! We received our first delivery last night, and my husband and I cooked up some delicious seared salmon salad. We're looking forward to our second and third meals of the week already! Next up is pork roast, and after that, General Tso's chicken. - Warm enough to wear sandals, early enough there are few bugs! Today I am thankful for new friendships blossoming! It's so neat to connect with a new friend that it feels like I've known forever. It's like we are bypassing all of the typical new friend stuff and going straight to close friends.
@MWoodside - I've been told I'm very outgoing and friendly, but it's rare for me to connect with someone in that inexplicable manner. I love the feeling as well! With my "newest" BFF (weird to say because we've been close for almost 5 years now), I basically had a lady boner for her when I met her LOL. But we just clicked so well, and even when we left our retail workplace to pursue careers, I knew we'd continue hanging out.
Making friends as adults is indeed so weird ... but when it happens, it's that much more awesome! It's not because of Mom making me do girl scouts or because we live across the street from each other. We CHOSE to hang out, despite being in serious relationships, chasing dream jobs, and already having an established group of friends. It's an honor to call the friends I have friends.
@fivetimesnoluck I usually ride 12-20 miles. Today was a little over 13 and it was rough because it was my first ride of the season. There's a nearby route that is 46ish miles that intersects three different states. My goal is to do that someday, either this summer if I don't get KU, or later if I do. Interestingly enough today I realized I wouldn't be on the bike at all if either of my pregnancies stuck. It was a bittersweet moment. It was nice to get out though and experience the silence and meditate on life. (Too dangerous to have headphones in).
That's awesome, @MWoodside I had a very similar thing happen to me recently, and I even opened up about our losses to her. Friendships in adulthood ARE weird, @dubcompanion ! Your meals sound amazing, btw.
There's some research into making friends in adulthood - it is very difficult. DH and I were also really lucky to meet a couple through my website this past summer. They're wonderful and it's nice to have a couple friend, as well as all our generally gay ne'er-do-well millenial-type pals.

I'm thankful for kitty snuggles and students who seem really engaged this semester - OH and my favourite student ever, on Tuesdays my Cognitive Psychology course has a companion puppy in training and she's adorable (I'm calling the puppy not the trainer my favourite student)! Today I am thankful for: - My dog who forces me to get out and about, even when i might not feel like it. - Weekend plans. Having something to look forward to makes the slow time of the "waiting to O" part of my cycle move so much faster. - Amazon. Being able to order a massive amount of cheap OPKs and preseed without having to stand in line at CVS for them is magic.
@BornReady Amazon-lover here as well! That's where I buy my massive amount of cheap pregnancy tests, because I'm a POAS fanatic during my TWW - even though every month I SWEAR I'll hold out until 12 DPO...
Today I'm thankful for:
- Jillian Michaels for kicking my ass. After a 6-year hiatus from her, I worked out to one of her DVDs last night. I did Insanity 2 years ago, and at first, I thought, "This is like Kindergarten." 3 circuits later, I was feelin' it. I'm actually looking forward to popping in another of her DVDs this evening. I hope I can keep up the motivation. - Faber Castell coloring pencils. They are dank. I've recently taken to color-by-numbers books (advanced grown-up editions; nothing Hello Kitty themed!), and FC just has a quality that Rose Art and Crayola can't even come close to touching. My new 36-count pack arrived in the mail earlier this week, and it's just been so relaxing to sit on the couch and color. (I promise, I'm not 10 years old!)
@dubcompanion I am currently fighting the POAS fight here and I'm thankful for those cheapo pregnancy tests so when I eventually give in I won't feel like I just wasted $5+.
I'm thankful for DH - taking care of him is exhausting still, but I am so, so glad to have him with me and I really don't know what I would do without him.
I'm thankful for my amazing co-workers. Sometimes we get really awesome outcomes for our clients and it just amazes me and frequently it is an office-wide team effort.
I am thankful that my labs are FINALLY back to under 5.
I have said it before but I need to say it every week. I am thankful for my husband. He has been so great at dealing with my recent breakdowns and understanding why certain situations are so hard for me when no one else would get it. This has and will continue to be one of the hardest weeks since the loss and he tells me everyday how brave he thinks I am for making it through and being a bigger person about it all. It helps when I feel like a blubbering train wreck of a person.

I'm definitely thankful for DH. We've been through a lot of crazy things and he hasn't yet wavered
I'm super thankful for all of you. These boards make this horrible thing we have in common so much easier to go through
And I'm thankful for my fur babies...I have two of them here snuggling me as I nurse my migraine and try to prepare for our road trip tomorrow (which might not actually happen on account of the weather)
Today is my due date from my first loss and I am thankful I am actually ok and holding myself together. We'll see how I am in a few hours after dinner with friends who are expecting (not sure why I thought that was a good idea).
I am thankful for the nice streak of weather we've had this week. High 60's...finally feeling like summer is near!
Coffee. Seriously. So thankful for good coffee. I splurged this morning on a frozen one and it was A-MAZING.
Online shopping - we are going to Charleston/Savannah/Hilton Head in 10 days and I've been grabbing a few pieces for our trip. I love when stuff just shows up on the doorstep DH does not, haha
@Aera11 Hugs to you today. I am glad you are doing okay. I think it's a great idea to have plans tonight. I'm sure if you do need to cancel for whatever reason, your friends would understand. But it's good to keep yourself busy and with good company today.

- online shopping.
I can be thankful for that today.

Love Spring time.
@BornReady Sunroof!! The only thing from my VW Beetle that I miss having. Literally the only thing. I've owned a sedan for 5 years now and haven't otherwise looked back...
@reneeannemm - That's so sweet that you got some extra love today! Yay for melted troubles! I received some extra love today too, although it was from my cat. Still counts, right?

Making friends as adults is indeed so weird ... but when it happens, it's that much more awesome! It's not because of Mom making me do girl scouts or because we live across the street from each other. We CHOSE to hang out, despite being in serious relationships, chasing dream jobs, and already having an established group of friends. It's an honor to call the friends I have friends.
That's awesome, @MWoodside I had a very similar thing happen to me recently, and I even opened up about our losses to her. Friendships in adulthood ARE weird, @dubcompanion ! Your meals sound amazing, btw.

Today I am thankful for:
- My dog who forces me to get out and about, even when i might not feel like it.
- Weekend plans. Having something to look forward to makes the slow time of the "waiting to O" part of my cycle move so much faster.
- Amazon. Being able to order a massive amount of cheap OPKs and preseed without having to stand in line at CVS for them is magic.

I woke up to a nasty migraine so this is a tougher but good exercise for me
I'm definitely thankful for DH.
