This post is intended to keep our board organized and easy for everyone to use, as well as welcoming! 

First, please use the search function. As we get more people and more threads, there are sure to be duplicate posts. For easy to answer questions, the search box will be your friend. It's on the top right on desktop, bottom of the page on mobile. 

Next, introduce yourself on this thread.

and add your due date, birth date, team, sex, and babies name here.

For those of you that are new to TB since you got your BFP, the below are standard threads to all boards. Anyone can start these threads, just please do not duplicate! Some work better if one person volunteers and those that have are listed below. Feel free to volunteer! If you accidentally start a duplicate thread, that's a great opportunity to start a GIF party!

Daily Threads: (please add date to thread title)

It's not on the abbreviations list, but I see it posted all the time. What does "TW" mean?

@elsie2014 TW stands for "trigger warning". 

It's common courtesy around the Bump to add a "TW" to anything you post that might include or discuss a "trigger" for others. You never know what someone else is going through or has been through. Commonly, TWs are used for pregnancy loss, infant/child loss, domestic violence, depression, PPD, etc. It should basically be used before discussing any sensitive subjects, so if someone is having a rough day they can skip the post and not be blindsided (e.g. suddenly start crying at work).

Similarly, it's also considerate to use TMI (too much information) warnings when discussing bodily functions/excretions, or general grossness, in case someone is eating while scrolling through as well!

Trigger warning. It's a disclaimer that something in the following post might cause an emotional reaction to the reader. Most commonly it's a mention of miscarriage, TMI description, other highly sensitive info like abuse. It's a courtesy so the reader can continue with caution or avoid altogether, but ultimately to just be prepared mentally/emotionally.

@MissAmeliaPond thank you! I figured it had something to do with loss, based on the posts I usually see it on, it was just bugging me that I couldn't figure out what it stood for! 

@ICUnurse09 hilarious. Now that's all I'm going to think of!

I don't see that anyone has asked this yet...what is the "team" I am supposed to indicate on the google excel sheet?  Am I to indicate if we want to know the gender?  I don't know what green means, either. I'm a newbie, sorry.

@Hudspeth - "team" refers to the sex of your baby; boy or girl. As people have early genetic testing done you'll see some fill their lines in and then many/most others after the anatomy scan at 18-22 weeks. Others prefer to be "team green" and wait for the surprise when the baby is born.

I tried a few times, it kept dying. So did a few other girls. I don't get the lack of love for the Random thread. 
But if it's pinned, I'm down. Bring it.
