I totally feel your pain! my 2 dogs breath smell like hot garbage on the barge...they need a damn Altoid...every day, like FOREVER!
This is SUPER random but does anyone have smartstuff furniture for their nursery/kids room? My husband and I are buying furniture for DS so his furniture can be re-used for the nursery and I'd love to hear if anyone has any experience with the brand. Thanks
I hadn't looked at second tri board in a while. Decided to peek. Top post is about a 16 yr old pregnant with a 28 yr old's baby, living in a one bedroom apartment and storing two kids in a walk in closet. What the fuck did I just read?
I really expected some snark but everyone was surprisingly patient and practical with her. I was shocked. My mouth/thumbs would get me in trouble there so I just backed away slowly.
I may officially be a smug pregnant person now. My baby is moving. It doesn't really feel good but I love it so much. The smug part is that people keep trying to talk to me about other things and I am only half-listening... Netflix is irrelevant, your cat is irrelevant, our job is irrelevant- I'm sorry my baby was moving I didn't hear a word you said and I'm not even sorry because nothing feels even remotely important in comparison to this amazing tiny human making it's first perceptible movements. Maybe after a few weeks it'll be less distracting, but nothing else is even making my radar right now. (To be fair I code emails and help with advertising for TV shows so in the scheme of things nothing in my daily life really is very important...)

@noelietrex the baby moves a lot when I squat down or bend over, which is something I do all the fucking time to talk to my preschoolers. Today I was trying to have a serious talk with one of them about something and the baby was moving around so much I lost my train of thought. If earlier it felt like a fish in a bag of water, it now feels like a fish flopping around on the boat deck.
My toddler sits, climbs, steps on my stomach all the time. I'm still not really showing, so I think baby's mostly cushioned but it's starting to worry me and I need to find a way to be more careful. She's too young to really understand so I just need to protect the belly better I guess.

When she was six months old we went to the Disney store in the city and she picked out a little stuffed Olaf (she had never seen frozen). He's getting kind of ragged and I'm thinking about ordering the 17inch one from BAB. But now thinking that if we go to the city tomorrow that BAB could be a fun early birthday experience. Only problem is they don't have Olaf's to stuff there..only pre stuffed online

My son has jumped on my stomach a few times. I try my best to prevent it, but he's 3 and extremely active. I was really worried about it a few weeks ago because it hurt, but from everything I read, it would be really difficult for a toddler to actually harm the baby since there's so much protecting them. I found this very reassuring.
I got to see the baby yesterday. Heart rate is 154. Cerclage is scheduled for the 15th. Then I'll be in every 2 weeks to have my cervix measure via ultrasound. In addition to my normal monthly appointments with my midwife.
I gotta be honest, didn't feel real until now....
My poor DH has been sleeping on the couch for the past week because he's sick and he's worried about getting me sick. Is it bad that I've totally enjoyed having the bed to myself and slightly don't want him to return to our bed tonight?

Totally random- we went out to dinner and ate at the bar of one of the nicer restaurants in town. In addition to a great meal (mmmmmmm, I'm still thinking about it), the bartender made me two really incredible mocktails. Better yet, he didn't make me feel like an ass for ordering a mocktail. That bartender is a wonderful man and deserves a medal.
Our doc in emerg today while at work was doing some OB teaching for us and used me as a teaching tool. I got to watch the babe on ultrasound for like 5 minutes flipping around. Such a relief to see its doing well, and nice to get paid while watching

3 caramel delights and 3 peanut butter patties (both for my consumption only or DH dies), 1 thin mint, and 1 peanut butter things. Obviously DH was only allowed 1 box each, and he is going to share with me. I'm an awful wife.
