She laser-cuts the wood and paints in whatever color you want. Also, she has many other phrases - I picked this one because I love the song, I think it matches a nursery theme AND I have a wall full of stars behind the crib. She ships super quickly too.
I feel like it's finally coming together. I need to get a changing pad and I'm waiting on the blinds to come in still . Frankie decided to photobomb me but he's part of the nursery too as that rug is his new favorite spot.
@jonesl12 Adorable nursery AND pup. My pets love the nursery rug too, so I have kept it rolled up for the time being otherwise it would be their new home.

Thank you !!! I have to keep the door closed because he thinks it's his new room
Obviously the plastic tote is not the final side table for the glider. And there's more things to go up on the walls, but overall, it's basically finished!
The softest swaddle blankets etc in cute prints. My diaper bag is from there too. Absolutely love it.
Oh my gosh, I'm in love... but why is it sold out!! I need these in my life!
If you click on what you like I think you can put in your e-mail address and they will let you know when it's back in stock. They sell out fast that's the only negative

Oh man! That bassinet is gorgeous! I love it. And I imagine that rug might be my new favorite spot too. It looks like a cloud!

Thank you!! It was a hand me down x2 . She will be the third baby to use it. It keeps getting passed around . It's from pottery barn kids and seems pretty sturdy so I'll probably use this for the first few weeks in the master so DD can be close . The rug was a impulse buy from tjmaxx for 14$ I thought that was a pretty good deal!
Also the wall next to the rocker is going to have something that FMIL is making. Like painted letters of his initials or something. Not really my style, but w/e...

@jordanbara Yay! Someone finally posted a shared nursery! I finally get to start working on the kids room early next month, so I've been hungry for inspiration.

@mrstrax I didn't realize yours was a shared nursery too!
Eventually - he'll probably be in with us until at least after the 4 month sleep regression. That's when DD regulated into a night+naps schedule instead of the cyclical every X hours. She was still up at midnight and 6 until like 7 months though, so we'll see how well DD sleeps through the crying.
jordanbara Very nice! I love the window frame headband holder. Do you like the Diaper Dekor? That's the pail I'll be using. I haven't gotten it yet though. I'm not sure if I want the classic or the plus. I am guessing the smaller the better since you don't want it to fill up too much for smellies.
Almost done with the nursery! Has anyone mounted shelves they would recommend? Must be very easy to mount for my less-than-handy husband. I saw some at Target that are the threshold brand, has anyone used those?

If you mean the floating kind, they didn't work well on our plaster walls (too textured) but my mom has them on her drywall ones and they're really level for her.
@mrstraxthey were the floating kind. I was kind of worried about them not staying up well and leaving big holes. I don't know what kind of material my wall is made out of. Maybe I will look for some with brackets just to be safe.

You'll probably need anchors for either kind unless you use a stud finder, which means slightly larger holes (~1/4-3/8" diameter). Either would probably work if your walls are pretty smooth.
Ok ladies I need your opinions! I'm having a hard time deciding on crib bedding and decor. Here is a picture of my crib and the wall color (It is a really light pink stipe not white) anyways would this bedding go? I'm thinking of using mint and gold for decor and accent colors but I'm not sure if the mint would look good or not. Honest opinions please

I love mint and gold for a girl! Especially if you throw in a salmon-type of pink in the mix too. Or just keep the mint and gold alone if you want gender-neutral.
My husband's best friend painted us this piece for the nursery and gave it to us at our shower yesterday. We absolutely loved it!!!!!! It is so perfect for our nursery, and I thought it was awesome how he threw in the soccer detail considering my husband is a soccer aficionado, and our baby boy will be half Brazilian. Now just need to hang this and the other pieces we have, and we will be done!
You would never guess that the room is a pretty nice size with how much clutter it has! Our friends and family have been incredibly generous. We bought all the furniture second hand while going through adoption classes and saving for IVF, so they bought pretty much everything else. I think it also helps being married to the youngest and only boy that has 4 older sisters. My SILs are amazing, and might be even more excited than we are for their niece to arrive. I might fight back tears every time I walk into the nursery thinking of all the love that has built it.
Today our furniture is finally in, and my husband is picking it up. This means I can finally take my former office and begin making it into a baby-friendly little corner of the world. It's an awkwardly shaped room, and I snapped this "before" pic in the hopes that very soon I'll be able to transform it.
This is our progress so far...grey and purple walls with A painted cherry blossom tree behind the diaper changing table...the swing is going downstairs to make room for a rocker in that corner and we have some finishing touches left to do with a few other things as well
Re: Official Nursery Thread
(BTW: I got the 'medium' size).
