Obviously the plastic tote is not the final side table for the glider. And there's more things to go up on the walls, but overall, it's basically finished!
Still waiting on a few toys but I think I can safely say the room is now ready! Yay!!!!! Attention: picture overload to follow! P.S.: the mattress appears to be lavender because of the lighting; it is actually baby blue in real life.
@thaisac1 I just LOVE the soccer robot series that your friend painted for you guys - it completes that room! DH was a soccer player and is a huge fan so he would think it's awesome.

Yes it's our favorite thing in the room!! He was right on!
Today our furniture is finally in, and my husband is picking it up. This means I can finally take my former office and begin making it into a baby-friendly little corner of the world. It's an awkwardly shaped room, and I snapped this "before" pic in the hopes that very soon I'll be able to transform it.
The furniture is assembled and the vinyls I bought months ago are up! The walls in my house are a light gray so I wanted to try to add some happiness to them with color that could easily change as he got older.
Wow, these are all so beautiful! We just moved and I'm hoping we can get started on our nursery soon. Crib and dresser ordered. I can't wait to have it set up and decorated.
I am just completely overwhelmed by the state of our nursery at this moment. The nursery is done. It's just there is so much stuff from our showers. I just don't know what to do with all of it. I've gotten it all out of the gift bags, etc and put stuff in places where I think they should go. We're going to have to find somewhere to store the diapers because we are over-run and baby's closet just can't hold them all plus all the other stuff that needs to go in there. Plus all the clothes! Omg there are so many clothes.
So the crib arrives tomorrow and we'll be spending Saturday putting the nursery together. I've got a couple decorations done and have all the accessories ready to be put away, but we've been waiting to set up until the crib arrived. I'll be 36 weeks. Talk about procrastination.
Our room is T shaped so we had to make things fit. The room had a wallpaper map when we moved in years ago, but as this was my office I kept it up. It made the gender neutral room theme easy.
My husband finally finished painting and cleaned up the room for the baby. Our furniture has not come in yet. And I have my shower tomorrow so I'll post updated pictures when the room is complete. I am having roman shades made for the window treatment also waiting on them to finish
@thaisac1 we had a PBK crib arm and I think it will work on round slats. It would think it would tighten ok even on round surfaces. Did you already try it in the room?

So I know it's not exactly a nursery since we live in a one bedroom apartment, but just wanted to share that we finally have a crib for LO I had a mini panic attack at the thought of having created another living human being out of nothing and there were tears and DH was just laughing at how hormonal building the crib and putting the bedding made me
Bump app has been hating me and I've been MIA since we don't have Internet at the new house yet. But, this happened this weekend - we have liftoff! Shout outs to my husband for getting the flooring finished just before furniture delivery, assembling the glider, and Grandma for purchasing the crib mattress on Friday!
@AK118We purchased the same set! We only got the crib and dresser though. We are doing grey with navy blue and hints of orange.
Finally got some work done in the nursery! Antique dresser and long table painted and refinished, accent wall from 150 year-old tongue and groove flooring stained and put up, mirror and dresser knobs painted to match one another, crib painted, and a few decorations up. Baby shower is tomorrow so may be getting a few more things to add Just wish I could talk my Aunt into handing over my great grandma's rocking chair! Because that's the only thing I feel like is really missing... a rocker! *sigh*
I have a toy hammock I want to hang in the nursery, but I want to dye it. I think I mentioned it earlier, but I've come to find out it's not very easy to dye. It's made of 100% polyester. Does anyone know the best, safest way to dye polyester? So far all I know is to boil it in a mixture of water and dye.
@Bubbles3592 in my experience, any toy that gets tossed into a toy hammock goes there to die, never to be seen or played with ever. I was amazed when we finally pulled ours down as a kid of all the things that were in there. I refuse to get one for that reason - I figure if we're going to hide that stuff high up in a corner, we don't need it in the house at all.
That being said, I don't know anything about dyeing anything besides Easter eggs so I'm of no help.

@cmjenkies The room is too small for a toy box so we figured we could get a toy hammock for storage instead. It probably won't stay around for long.
Nursery is officially done! Ok, so maybe I still need to make the crib skirt. My mom is also sending some ceramic birds that sit on metal rings that I'll use plant hangers for on the opposite wall, but everything important is complete
Re: Official Nursery Thread

I am hoping that by having something neutral and very colorful we will be able to keep it up for years.
The nursery room is so small that the crib takes up most of the small wall. But FINALLY the crib is done. Now I just have to finish decorating.
The side of my crib has a flat gap though, I am thinking I could hook up there.
DHs favorite part was placing the toys on the bed

On another note, I can finally join in since we just finished our nursery yesterday
