Now that's a smile! I still can't get my baby to smile. DH blames it on me because I don't smile very much either. I just might cry when he decides to smile back.
Lol I passed on my "resting bitch face" syndrome to my poor baby girl. The stank faces she makes are priceless. I can't wait until the day she smiles from something other than gas..
LO only woke me up to eat 3 times last night instead of the usual 4-5. Also, he went back to sleep after his 7:30am bottle and slept till about 11am so mommy got to sleep in for the first time since going to the hospital!
My little guy has hit puberty! At least it looks like it, this baby acne is coming on strong. Lol.
Yes! My LO has the worst dry skin on his face it looks like a super bad rash/acne. My 3 yr old had the same issue so we're doing all the same stuff we did to get rid of it. Hope it works!

What were you doing to get rid of it? I've only heard of breast milk and water. I haven't tried either just yet though..

I have the same issue and pedi said use a wash cloth of cold water and pat dry
My LO is also dry and has sprouted baby acne. I've been slathering him in lotion with the exception of his hands and face. I also think he's getting too long for his NB footed jammies. Today I went to zip them and got a little more resistance. :-(
@MercyC1130 I took him baths in the Aveeno eczema soak & made sure to moisturize his face constantly. I put lotion on his face multiple times a day. I use Aveeno lotion also. & I only took him a bath once a week until the dry skin cleared. I know for some people that's gross so if u don't want to do that then just avoid washing his face so that the natural oils can absorb in his skin longer instead of stripping them with soap. His godmother also took him a rose petal bath (we're Mexican) but I'm not sure that did anything with everything else I was also doing. I hope this helps u. Good luck!
My son learned a magic trick today! He pooped on his entire back, my lap, down my legs and the chair I was rocking him in. Guess what didn't get dirty? his diaper.
Maybe not a baby milestone but I've been having issues falling back to sleep at night for the last two weeks. So I was staying up from 2:30am until 8am and then sleeping until the afternoon every day. Tonight I successfully was able to sleep through the night and feel awesome about it!
Jackson is doing well! At his 2 week appt. he had gained an inch in height and was up 11 oz (at 8lbs 12oz) from his birth weight, yaaaaay! Quite honestly, pretty happy about this. With breast feeding I've had good days and BAD days. So glad to see baby boy is growing ❤️❤️❤️
His cord stump is also gone. We went to change his diaper a few days ago (I think Wednesday) and it was gone. Looked in his clothes, couldn't find it. Not sure where it went but it's certainly not on him any more
We had him swaddled sleeping in the RNP at night, he sleeps in stretches of 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Someone posted an article about some of the potentials issues with using it for extended sleep so we tried the bassinet last night. Had him in a sleep sack instead. Was worried about the change from Swaddle and also going to sleeping flat, but he went for it!! It was awesome.
Happy mom today . . . E's had a rough week with lots of fussing from about 6-12 each night. The past three nights she's started settling a bit better, and has started sleeping for longer and longer stretches. Last night she slept from 12-6 without waking. The sleep was wonderful!
Little Ant had been struggling to smile and laugh for a couple of weeks now. Turns out, he likes it when I sneeze. (Head cold) got a really good first giggle and smile out of him! Also he was completely alert and calm during his Christmas family photo shoot. Got great photos and even some extra cute shots of the SO and him when they weren't paying attention and just being my two adorable men. Made my day.
Zeke spent all day crying and screaming. He barely napped so he was overtired to make matters worse. DH finally took him at 9:30 last night and got him to calm down enough to fall asleep. He told me to go to bed and he would hold Zeke so I could rest. Zeke slept for almost 6 ½ hours!! Total win for mommy! Of course DH will be quite tired tomorrow but I don't really care. Zeke has never slept close to that long and I needed the rest as badly as he did!
So kiddo is too long for NB clothes now. Both his arms and legs stick out a good inch. Yet 0-3 don't fit, way too baggy in the waist. Can I get some NB 1/2 please.

We still have this issue. My 6 week old is ready for 3-6month clothes because he is so damn long, but the 3 month stuff is still a little loose. He is going to swim in the 6 month sleepers
8lbs 8oz at her appt on Sunday! And we're having the same NB/3 month clothes issue too. Her toes were curling in the feet of her NB sleepers, but the 3 month stuff looks kind of big. Won't be big for long the way she's gaining (and I'm pretty sure we're starting the 6 week growth spurt. She hasn't gone longer than 90 minutes between feeds all day!)
I'm late to the party here but my kid's umbilical cord finally fell off (at 16 days) after hanging by a thread for days. I'm so glad it's finally gone!
I just laid Rhys down in his crib in his own room instead of his cradle. He is so long now that he has been squirming and bumping the edges of the cradle. He is completely fine but I miss him already. I'm sure it's compounded bc I know he is our last baby so the cradle will sit empty until the next generation is ready ( he is the third generation and the 8th baby in the cradle that my grandfather built)

My LO's 0-3 month sleepers are too short so i put him in a 3-6, but it looks ridiculous! The length is right, but the hole for the head is far too large and they're too wide.
My DD is 6 weeks, 11 pounds and is officially fitting in her 3-6 month clothes (they are a tad long but otherwise fit perfectly). She also is already in size 2 diapers. It's crazy!
Christmas Eve after a four hour cluster feed, Elianna slept 8 hours straight. It was glorious. She's been going down around 10, waking up around 3-4, eating, goes back to sleep from 5-10. The rock n play is a god send let me tell you.
We've been using a nipple shield since day one due to inverted nipples. He could latch fine without it but it was so painful the second night that I almost gave up breast feeding. So he definitely stopped latching to just my nipple once my nipples had toughened up. A couple weeks ago I was walking upstairs with him without a shirt and he turned his head to my boob and he latched perfectly by himself. Then the bugger wouldn't do it again. So once a day I try to get him to latch without the shield. Finally last night he latched onto my more inverted nipple perfectly and today he latched and ate fine from the other one! I'm so excited because that means no more worrying about the shield or forgetting it or losing the sucker. No more messy eater and no more constantly having Arlo pull it off! Let's hope he continues to latch without it!!
@taykerslake those suckers are so expensive around here I wish I could take them back for a refund! I bought 3 since I was always afraid of losing the one and hated having to get up in the middle of the night to wash it. So glad we don't need it anymore!
LO rolled from belly to back 3 times today (he is almost 7 weeks). The best was his face after it happened- he was so shocked! He also gave me a few big smiles in the past few days- Best feeling in the world!!
@rubirubi89 they are about $13 here in Alberta, and I bought two of them. I think it's ridiculous for that little piece of rubber on your damn boob. Although I will say that I'm glad you can't return them because Arlo when he's over tired won't latch without them still. Damn. I guess we will keep working on it!

I just got in the tub with him cuz I wanted to hold him. It felt so nice and he was so content!
Was not happy in the transition between towel and clothes though!

He also sees to reason to sleep by himself between the hours of 5am to 8am or during nap time. On the plus side I got a real smile from him today.
