Our LO is doing really well. She had pretty bad jaundice for the first week, but that is all cleared up now. She surpassed her birth weight by 3 ounces at 9 days old! She's nearly 2 weeks old now & I think she's going through a growth spurt because she's extra fussy & wants to BF every 45 min to an hour. We're tired but so happy. ☺️
Had to take my son to the doctors today since he hadn't had a bowel movement since Wednesday so they wanted to do a quick check on him. Of course when I took his diaper off he had a nice big present for me. The nurse thought it was hilarious. Lol.
BUT we did a weight check and and he is finally over his birth weight. He gained another 5 ounces since Tuesday. So so happy!
Poor guy lost his umbilical cord yesterday and appears to have an umbilical granuloma so still no full baths until we see the dr on Wednesday and see what's up
Well... I thought I could put this off until he was a few more months old but I guess my DS learns fast.. My brother has shown him enough funny faces that now when I take his picture and he sees the camera.. He makes a funny face.. First a cute one then a funny one.. Pictures for proof... (No I didn't give him a Mohawk.. He spit up on his clothes so I had to change his outfit and for some reason the hair on the back of his head stands up..)
Eta that it's not coincidence.. He does it to everybody...
Day three of Arlo sleeping in his own bed. It's not that he wouldn't before, I just had the hardest time not wanting to snuggle him at night. I still miss him in my arms and by 6:30am when he wakes up again he won't sleep in there anymore because he missed my snuggles too but it's been nice getting in some one on one time with my fiancé. Success to so far having the most relaxed go with the flow baby!
Zeke slept for 4.5 hours in his bouncer tonight!! Not only had we been having some struggles getting him to sleep long stretches, he would only sleep long periods of time while being held. I feel a lot more awake right now than I have during previous MOTN (or all night) feedings! And my husband and I got to share a bed for the first real stretch of time since Zeke was born! I think I might cry!
Had my son weighed today and at 3wks 2days mcfatty has gained 2lbs 3oz. Not bad for being EB.
Cecily had her one week weight check and has gained 11oz in 5 days! We're also EBF, and the LC weighed her after I fed today and she's getting about 4 oz per feed. Hoping she'll keep up her 3-4 hour stretches of sleep at night so far.
Livie lost her UC at 9 days, which I'm so happy about. That thing scared me and she kept kneeing it during changes. At 2 weeks, she was back up, actually slightly past, her birth weight. She's a decent sleeper and really calm most of the time. She can lift and turn her head, and I too love her smiles. I don't care if it's gas or not.
We're having twins
Our angel baby boy is looking over his twin sister - due November 21
Had our 1 month check up today. Little man weighed in at 8#3oz and 20 " long. He was born at 6# 12oz and 18 " long and he had dropped down to 5#15oz. I'm one happy momma. He is still so tiny but I know he will get there!
Our lo lost her stump a few weeks ago...the dog ate it before i realized what was going on. =(.
As far as milestones after 4weeks of trying baby FINALLY latched to my right breast last night. I've been pumping it religiously for weeks to keep the supply up.

At 3 weeks Zeke is finally managing to fit into 0-3 month clothing. Still in NB diapers though. His chicken legs aren't plump enough for cloth diapers yet - he leaks out the side immediately
2 month check up today and Ruth is 7lbs6oz! I'm allowed to let her sleep as long as she wants at night without waking her to eat!!! This is an exciting change from every two hours !!
Today was the first day I changed my son's outfit because he'd been wearing it for almost a whole day and NOT because he peed or pooped on himself during the diaper changing process. I call this progress!

I feel the exact same way! Our little guy is constantly wetting himself. We've been through 4 kinds of diapers! Luckily now one of the fits. He also lives in sleepers because we didn't buy enough newborn clothes!

Success so far, but I saw on another thread (maybe another board) that if you point his little weanie down it'll help with wetting themselves. I don't know if this was an obvious thing, but it was news to me!

It definitely helps. But we had issues where LO would scream and fight and twist and turn as we change his diaper so even though his penis started in the downward direction, there were many a time when he's get it pointed back up... Also sometimes the little guy is just a super soaker and the newborn diapers couldn't hold it. Going up a size totally helped with that

I had no clue to point it down when I had DS. I Googled why his back kept getting wet. pointing it down fixed the problem.
We made it through 2 hours of church this morning with no melt downs and no demands to eat! It's even more impressive since he was wide awake the whole time. He was too interested in the color contrasts to sleep (or church is all wood, white, and red so lots of contrasting colors to engage him)
Our 5 week old slept 6 uninterrupted hours in her crib last night!!! I'm not counting on that being the norm at this point, but I will take what I can get. It was bliss!

My 5 week old just did the same last night! I was shocked when I woke up and saw the time. His grandparents babysat for us the evening prior. I think they tired him out.
Whatever the cause, I'm thankful and hoping for a repeat!
Arlo weighed in at 9lbs at 4 weeks. He's almost gained 3lbs since being released from the hospital. He's also super pro at rolling onto his stomach. Scares me in the middle of the night I'm constantly rolling him back over
Now that's a smile! I still can't get my baby to smile. DH blames it on me because I don't smile very much either. I just might cry when he decides to smile back.

In the meantime, does first projectile vomit count as a milestone?
5lbs 9oz and 19.25 inches at birth
11lbs 1oz and 24.5 inches at 6 weeks

E's stump fell off at 5 days at her newborn shoot! Here she is a month old! (That's a milestone....right?) lol.
