  • Hey guys. By the time I'm writing in this group I have 131 unread posts. Lol. I got through the first page. But I wish everyone good luck. Most of you know that I'm dealing with an ectopic now which totally sucks and I don't wish this on anyone. It's not going away either. I took metrotexate already and may need more on Monday but we will see.
@rmm1204 and @erica0901 I'm also outside of philly.
I'll be up to date on these posts from now on. :-)
  • So glad you are here @Drove2u !! :):)
  • @Drove2u I've been thinking about you! I took a month off due to cysts. And just recently came back. So haven't been up to date on anything. I'm so sorry for what your going through. Sending positive thoughts!
  • my iui's are tomorrow & monday.. i have to do a follicle reduction tomorrow morning which i am so nervous for... i had 3 mature today & a few more that have possibility of becoming mature tom.. i am not happy about reduction
  • @dani4est, my IUI is looking like 10/8.  It'll be my first.  I can't wait to get into the TWW.  GL to you!
  • @greengypsy was follicle reduction suggested by your dr? I just had my IUI with 4 mature follicles and follicle reduction wasn't even mentioned. They did however discuss multifetal reduction which would break my heart. Good luck to you!

  • Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and thought I'd join in. DH and I have been married 8 years and have been TTC on and off since 2010 and more consistently since 2014. Blood work, HSG, and DH SA are normal. Currently seeing RE and are on our 3rd cycle, first 2 were BFN and of course spent the day crying when AF appeared. This cycle consisted of Clomid 100mg CD 2-6, u/s and trigger shot on 9/21, and IUI on 9/23. I can test with HPT on 10/9 and am trying really hard not to test before then. Here's praying for BFPs for all of us this month!
  • @lilmissslp yes they told me yesterday it would be a possibility & confirmed it today.. i will most likely have more than 4 mature tom.. they gave us option of cancelling (again) or reduction.. we also got the fetal reduction talk & i just couldnt imagine so id rather be on safe side & reduce now. good luck to u as well :)

@ediaz07 welcome & good luck! im having my 3rd iui tom. hoping this is it!
  • Morning girls! went to RE earlier this morning.....lining up to 12.6! 1 follicle 18.5, then I have a 15, 14.5, and a few others between 10 and 13....oh boy! lol waiting to get my phone call to see was estrogen was but safe to say trigger tonight. Did any of you drink/keep drinking the raspberry tea after your IUI? I've been drinking it the past 2 weeks....that's my one new thing I'm trying this cycle.....and have my pineapple ready to go!
  • @laur2444 how does the raspberry tea help?
  • @laur2444 I drank it all cycle as well. I stopped after my IUI because I read you shouldn't drink it in your first trimester. I'm sure it would be fine, but I don't want to do anything to hurt my chances.

  • @agriffin92013 it is supposed to help strengthen the uterine lining to prepare it for implantation....who knows if it does anything at all but you can buy red raspberry leaf tea and you just drink 1-3 cups a day, so I figured worth a try!
@lilmissslp okay that's what I was planning on doing! Hopefully it helped us!
  • @laur2444 thanks. I'll have to look into it

New to this forum as well. Had my 1st IUI (w/clomid) last Tuesday (2 follicles, 19 and 22) so I'm now in the 2ww until 10/13. Unfortunately it was super painful for me, the nurse struggled with getting the catheter in. I had stomach cramps since the trigger shot but thankfully they have subsided, as have my horrible mood swings with the clomid.
  • @katie121209 I had my IUI Tuesday as well! Good luck to you!

Laying in RE office just finished first IUI come back tomorrow for 2nd!

  • @laur2444 just had mine too! Hole it went well for you. I'm feeling a little crampy, but otherwise ok. My DH numbers improved BIG time since his initial SA with 95% motility (previously he had 30%)- which is insane! So I feel hopeful. :)
    Now the dreaded TWW...
  • @RMM1204 that is an awesome improvement! Fx for you that this is the month!

I am 5 dpIUI, not going crazy yet, we will be getting ready for a family reunion at 14dpIUI... I have that to look forward to and distract me, which is great!

  • @mummysmomma I know it's awful! Just sucks trying to stay so positive when I've already been let down twice. The odds have to be in our favor at some point!
Ahhhh yay @RMM1204 we can keep each other sane! It was fine def felt crampy all yesterday after trigger and now as well. This round in general I have felt a lot more blah versus my previous 2 attempts. They had me on a way higher dose of injectables and I had one definite and 2 potential other mature eggs. Hopefully it did the trick! My husbands numbers were great too at 95%....but they always are. Thank god we have something going for us! Lol what round is this for you?
  • @mummysmomma I'm also 7dpiui. The first week is always easy for me since there is no way of knowing during the first week but this second week is the worst.
I will likely do a HPT on Saturday am at 12dpiui. My beta is scheduled for next Monday but it looks like I have to move it to Tuesday due to work. Boo

  • I love hearing all this!! Good luck guys. Sounds like lots of good follies going around.
I was at the docs today for more bloodwork. Fingers crossed please that my levels are going down and I don't need another injection. Will find out soon.
  • Fingers crossed @Drove2u . Sending lots of positive thoughts your way!
  • I caved in and took a dollar store HPT this morning at 12dpiui. BFN! My beta is on Wednesday, but I'm already counting myself out. I guess I'm moving on to IVF.
  • Sorry, @Rachd110!  Hopefully it was just early for you but I know that feeling.

Thinking about you lots @Drove2u!  Hopefully you'll get confirmation that your numbers are going down and you can start your new cycle soon.

I'm currently waiting for AF to show up (thanks prometrium for delaying things) and then hopefully I will be more active in this thread as I wait to confirm my next IUI timeframe.
  • I'm 6dpiui and felt slight cramping today. I'm symptom spotting so badly!

  • @Drove2u that's great news!

    Married: 8/29/2009
TTC- since we got married (off and on)
TTC with focus: Since July 2015
Currently had 2 rounds of failed IUIs, failed TI monitored cycle
December 2015: Starting 1st IVF cycle
    January 2016: Retrieval
March 2016: Pending Transfer (I have 3 PGS tested embryos waiting for a womb)
April 2016: BFP, the old fashioned way.

  • Yayyyy @drove2u!!! Soon enough you are getting there!
@Rachd110 and @amos1417 you still never know! That's why my RE says don't home test until 18 days post trigger, so fingers crossed for both of you!
  • @Drove2u glad your numbers are decreasing. Hopefully AF will show up soon so you can start your next cycle.

Thanks @laur2444 I'm hoping it's still too early too, but pretty sure that's not the case.

I'm so worried about IVF failing. This is so frustrating because I have no idea what's wrong with me. Anyone know if RE will test for autoimmune disorders? I know someone who had 3 failed IVF cycles. She was finally accepted by an autoimmune physician who found out she had several disorders. After getting on meds for them, she got pregnant with her 4th IVF cycle. Because of her autoimmune issues, she has to get meds by IV weekly during her pregnancy.
  • IUI's were yesterday & today.. i had an awful follicle reduction yesterday prior to the IUI. it was sooo painful!! i hope i never have to go thru that again. i am still sore but thankfully the IUI today did not hurt, i really expected it to.  i actually walked around the mall & shopped for hours (retail therapy lol) with my dh & am finally laying in bed relaxing. they left 3 mature follicles plus some small ones that most likely didn't mature overnight.. i start progesterone suppositories tom. i really hate the suppositories, its just cruel how they mirror early pregnancy symptoms. im hoping 3rd time is the charm for us! glad we decided to do injectables this cycle bec this cycle will be our best odds with multiple follicles. now comes the 2ww for me.. trying the pineapple thing this time around & only bought 1 hpt which i will be trying not to test for as long as possible lol my beta should be around 10/21… fx for all you ladies!
  • @Rachd110 I was wondering the exact same thing. I started reading a book I saw highly recommended for people considering IVF: IVF: The ART of Making Babies. The author has a section on immunological factors that has made me nervous and question whether I really want to spend the money on IVF. I have hypothyroidism and what he says doesn't give me much hope. However, I do have a friend who was diagnosed with Hashimotos (cause of hypo; I don't know what caused mine but it runs in my family so likely the same thing) who got pregnant with IVF with my clinic and also with twins (naturally) the first time they had sex after giving birth to her IVF baby. So, I'm trying to focus on her success to give me hope. But, I'll definitely ask questions to my doctor. I'm completely OOP and am terrified of wasting 20k if it's something like immunological issues.

    Clomid 50 mg 3/15 (unmonitored) - BFN
    Clomid 50 mg + metformin 4/15 (unmonitored) - BFN
First RE appt. 5/15; Natural cycle 5/15 monitored with 2 mature follicles and Pregnyl Trigger (full dose) + prometrium - BFN
6/15 HSG - clear tubes & normal uterus; great PCT test results
TI - 100 mg Clomid + prometrium (AM & PM) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 6-7/15 (monitored) --> no additional response and thinned lining - BFN
    TI - Injectables (follistim + Gonal-F, Ganirelix, & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 9/15 --> 3-7 mature follicles (3 definites and 4+ that could have matured due to trigger) @ O -->BFN + 5 large cysts
BC for 2 weeks due to cysts
    TI - Injectables (Gonal-F, Ganirelix & full dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 10/15 --> 1 mature follicle --> BFN
TI - Last attempt at injectables (Gonal-F, Ganirelix & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + crinone (AM only) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 11/15 --> 3-4 mature follicles --> BFP!! 11/27/15 @ 13dpo (shockingly, actually waited until then to test)

@greengypsy the follicle reduction sounds aweful, but that is great you are responding so well to meds, better than the opposite! I had ine follicle this month (maybe 2 based on blood work), I was a bit bummed.

I went in for my post IUI blood work this morning. I wanted to double check with you guys, because I forgot to ask, progesterone results do not reflect suppository increases correct?

I will also be getting prolactin results, my fx at that level went down.

@RMM1204 I am surprised they do not have you come in for progesterone at least. I have seen that yours is not the only dr that does not do post testing.

I just got mildly more optimistic, I started taking meds for my prolactin being too high last week, the level has already droped to with in normal and my progesterone jumped to the highest I have tested at while taking meds, 24!
