I hope it's okay that I start this new thread. My IUI is scheduled for Monday, and since it's so late in September, the bulk of my 2ww will be in October... So I think I'm more of an October IUI gal. Others?

Just started my menopur injections Wednesday for my third round of iui....need as much good luck as possible...hopefully third time will be the charm!!!

Had my bloodwork today and my levels look great. I go Monday for my follicle scan. I'll either have my IUI the last day of September or the very beginning of October. Thanks for starting this group. Good luck to everyone! I hope we all get our happy ending.

Im going to join too, I have my bw and us on the 28 and will find out then what day to come in for my IUI. This round has been so much more anxiety inducing than the last... Im so glad I finally joined this community and get to go tbrough this with you guys!! Let's turn this thread into October BFPs. Good luck, fingers crossed and prayers to whom ever you talk to!!!

hello everyone.. 3rd IUI cycle started today for me (CD 1). i have baseline u/s & start gonal F (150 iu) tomorrow. my last cycle was canceled bc my follicles didn't grow so i hope this one goes better for me. good luck to you all FX !

It's official: I am triggering tonight and have IUI Monday am. My left side grew and I have 2 follies for the first time ever. A 19 and a 16. Very excited right now!

Can anyone help -I had a progesterone blood test one week after trigger and I logged onto the server to see my results and it was 105, which the lab flagged as high.  Is this a result of my HCG shot, or something else?

I have my ultrasound Monday to measure follicle size and was instructed to have intercourse the night before. I was just curious why?

@lilmissslp They are probably doing a postcoital test to see how many sperm are alive in a sample from your cervix in the AM. Are you definitely doing IUI or is TI still a possibility? If you are definitely, no doubt about it, having an IUI, I'm not sure why a PCT would be needed.

Thanks @riveridgional! What is TI? We are definitely doing and IUI. This will be our third one. The other two weren't monitored, so a lot of this is new to me.

@greengypsy my last IUI cycle was cancelled as well due to no follicles growing and it was on a letrozole/gonal f combo...I am still waiting for AF to show up to start my next cycle but should be in early october.  Hoping AF is here by October 9 at the latest.  

We are trying clomid and injection combo this coming cycle

I'm hoping my first IUI is on October first. I'm having to take Estrace right now to boost the endometrium because it hasn't been getting thick enough. I also just finished the Famara. Fingers crossed for my ultrasound on Monday! Good luck to all!

@lilmissslp TI is short for timed intercourse. At least from what my doc told me, if a postcoital test has fantastic results, there is no measurable difference between TI and IUI. Basically, in my last round of injects with timed intercourse, my total chance of pregnancy was 20% (same as a normal, completely fertile couple's chance on a normal cycle). An IUI would have made my total chance about 22%, but that 2% is less than the standard deviation, so there really is no measurable difference of success. I'm paying everything out of pocket, so my doc said he didn't see a reason to have us spend over 500 bucks on the IUI, but of couse it was my decision. If you are definitely doing an IUI, you may want to question the reasoning behind the post-coital test (if this really is the reason your doc wanted you to BD before monitoring), especially if you would have to pay out of pocket.

@riveridgional you are a wealth of knowledge! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. My insurance covers three rounds of IUI so this will be our last one. I have unexplained infertility so I know the odds are not really in my favor. I really hope this third time is the charm. IVF would be next and that's completely oop :-(

@lilmissslp Well, I really hope this one works out for you, and no IVF is needed. We were moving on to IVF next, but decided we'd give injects just one more shot. Unfortunately, I have 5 cysts preventing me from moving forward, but I'll get to move on eventually. Hopefully sooner rather than later!!

@lilmissslp Also, please let me know if there was any other reason he wanted you to BD the night before. I'm so curious and while I hate anyone is going through this journey (honestly can say I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy), I am fascinated by and love learning about different routes/steps/tests/processes everyone is going through. I feel like I missed my calling and would have loved being a nurse, nurse practitioner or RE for a fertility practice!

@riveridgional I had a cyst last cycle so we couldn't move forward, I know how frustrating that is! I will definitely let you know if it was for a different reason. It is very interesting how different REs treat. Maybe it's not too late for you to go back and work in this field!

@rachlee2010 hope af starts soon for u! i was on provera for 10 days & af showed up on 12th day. clomid didnt work for us.. my dr decided no letrozole this time, just straight gonal f 200 iu starting cd 2.. i stressed to my re today at baseline u/s appt that i didnt want another cancelled cycle so she increased my meds & added more monitoring appts.

Good morning!! I guess I'll chime in on this month too since I have stuff going on in both. Well I went yesterday for my first IUI husbands count was really good with 64 million post wash! When I went to my ultra right before I triggered I have 1 follicle at 20 mm and another at 16 mm. Dr had me do one more day of 100mg Follistim that night and then trigger the next night (Thursday). IUI on Saturday... I go in Thursday for my progesterone test and can test on 10/10- and I'm going to do whatever I can to hold out until then I'm NOT going to test early. Last month I drove myself crazy testing early and wasting so many pee sticks!

I asked the dr if they could sprinkle some holy water on the Sperm before they injected it... I didn't have time to drive to Philadelphia (I'm in Indiana) to get it blessed by The Pope!!
That was H's and Where laughing about that I should do with his "specimen cup" !! Lol
But as you know at this point if someone told me that was the golden ticket I would so do it- I'm at that point!

@Msbender129 I definitely get it.  Each cycle is emotionally draining, so if we could bless that catheter or have a miracle happen - we would do it.  Looks like we are on same schedule and will be in 2ww together.

So I compelled to do my first post because I am super frustrated. I am currently on CD 14. Went in for us and bw today and have 2 maturing follicles in my right ovary that are 14-15mm. Good, I think?!
So here's my frustration: at my initial visit on CD 3, I paid the (hefty) fee for monitoring and advised I wanted to do an IUI. I have had 2 monitorings since then, including today, and I just got a call regarding my bw and was told that my dr wants me to do opks and call with a positive test. When I asked why I'm suddenly doing opks and not monitoring, the nurse tells me she needs to call me back. A few minutes later she called and, as I had suspected, she tells me there was a confusion as to whether I was doing an IUI (which is nuts) and that I should come back on Tuesday for us and bw.
Does anyone else ever feel like they're just a number and that the only persons invested in making this process work are you and your husband? Not the doctor?!
Just to think, if I haven't said anything and just did opks, I could've missed my window of opportunity and paid for nothing this cycle... :-/

@RMM1204 i agree with you, my last IUI cycle there were some mix-ups on my RE office's part (though they did know I was doing an IUI!). I ask sooo many questions and double confirm what is going on with each and every nurse and doc. I speak with. I hope this cycle was not ruined for you. Fx!

@MSbender129 this has been a different cycle for me.  Only u/s no meds.  I had to leave town for work right after my AF, so I couldn't go in to see RE.  I went in on 9/24 to check follicles and prepare for trigger shot.  I had 1 follicle at 19mm and lining was at 10.  I had another follicle at around 16, so it could have grown over the next day or two. My RE didn't see a reason I needed the trigger.  Both my monitor and OPK said I was surging starting Thursday and my temp spiked on Saturday.  I probably O'd late Friday or Saturday.  My RE only requested TI this cycle. My chances are low, but miracles happen.

I had my 3rd IUI done on Wednesday. My first IUI, I ended up with 2 mature follicles. My second resulted in 3 mature follicles... I got pregnant, but unfortunately it was an ectopic...
With this third IUI, I had a whopping 4 follicles. Exciting, right? It should be exciting, except I'm scared... This two week wait is nerve-racking on so many levels! I'm afraid I won't be pregnant, but if my pregnancy test says I am, I'll be in fear of it resulting into an ectopic.
Needless to say, to get my mind off this, I've been doing a lot of coloring since it's supposed to reduce stress and anxiety lol

@Msbender129 Yes.  I am going to do a HPT around 10/9 and RE wants me to come in for beta if it is positive. Which would be 10/10.

Good morning ladies, glad to be back. Last month was a "rest month" for me due to multiple cysts on my good ovary! It seemed like a 3 month rest! I can't believe how much it dragged. Finally started my cycle yesterday so u/s tomorrow, hoping my cysts are gone and on with the Clomid. This will be my second iui.

I have 4 mature follicles and my linning looks great! I have to wait to hear what my progesterone levels are but well either do the IUI tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning. The dr is concerned about multiples but I'm willing to take the risk.
