I've been posting on this board and realized I never introduced myself. My name is Ilana and I am 32 (still holding onto that age since I am going to be 33 this month) and DH is 36. Our EDD is 5/1/15 and I am hoping I go closer to that date since DH's birthday, my dad, my step dad, my 2 brother in laws are all early May babies. DH and I have known each other for over 17 years and it feels like forever that we've been together. We've been married for 4 years now.
We are transplants to South Florida and are loving every minute. We moved from Long Island a little over 5 years ago and I am happy that the only shovel I will ever have to lift again is to play in the sand.
We have 1 little furbaby who is not so little anymore. He is a 70lb black lab/dalmatian mix who is 9 years old. Imagine the energy with that dog (he acts like hes a 2 year old puppy).
I am excited to spend the next 9 months with you ladies!!!
Hello! DH and I just found out we're expecting our 2nd...which was a total shock to DH, he thought I was still on the pill. HA! We talked about me going off and I TOLD him I could get pregnant.....so, I'm not a deceitful wife, he just doesn't pay attention and we've had a ton going on. It took over 2 years to get pregnant with our daughter so we both thought it would take a lot longer. We're excited and nervous. I have my first appointment on Sept 15th, I think I have a May 9th due date.
We just (3 weeks ago) moved away from all our family and friends so we have zero support down here. I'm hoping to make some fast friends with this pregnancy. We live in LA in the South Bay. I'd LOVE to hear from any other mamas in the area.
Hello! I'm Kim. My husband and I have been together nearly 11 years and just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this past July. We have a 17 month old son who is a handful, but a sweetheart, and a shelter pup who loves to bark during naptime and bedtime. We love the doggie anyway though. I teach for the city school district as an English teacher (grades 9 &11) and my husband, Benedict, is a project engineer. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone-- I wasn't very active on the April14 board while pregnant with my son and I wish I had been. Prayers and good vibes for healthy pregnancies for everyone!
I'll jump in here. The husband and I weren't exactly trying. He works out of state and it just so happens that he was home during ovulation this month. Guys can't be asked to put on a condom when it's been 2 months. I'm not entirely sure of my due date. I could have O'd on two different days and FF has switched it more than once. So, I'm either due the end of April or beginning of May. I should, hopefully, be going for a dating u/s this week, if my dr ever calls me back. If not, I have an appointment on the 14th and that's not too far away, I'll manage.
My oldest just turned 11 and the baby will be 2, soon. The husband and I have our own business. I push the papers, and he does the work. I just wish he could work from home. He's been gone almost year, now, and tries to come home once a month.
We have a German Shepard, Maya, who, in the last month, has gone from completely healthy to completely blind. She's 5. We're both learning to survive this new journey. She's definitely taking it better than I am. She does LOVE to play hide and seek, and gets so excited when she finally finds me. It's adorable.
@hawksfan82 - I agree with everyone else. I admire your strength! I, too, hope this pregnancy is uneventful. Stay strong!

Hi May Moms! *loss mentioned* I just got my bfp today, and am in a state of shock and awe! It took 2+ years of charting, Clomid, etc to conceive my 2 yr old. Then I had 2 miscarriages in 2014. Because my 2nd loss was a partial molar pregnancy, we were benched from ttc for almost a full year. I got a call from my Dr giving us the green light to ttc, ovulated 2 days later, and here I am! Feeling very blessed (and wary), but deciding to take each day at a time.
I am 25, DH 28, Married 12-06-14 after 4 years together! We just moved to Dallas, Texas.
I am a PICU Nurse and very overwhelmed with all I do know and all that I know I don't know. We weren't really TTC so I didn't do much prep but had my first positive test yesterday after just having a 'feeling' about it for a few weeks.
Eekk hey yall! I am so excited to be over here now this is my second pregnant but will be my first baby. My husband and I had a miscarriage in may. Kinda odd that now that is when our baby will be due.

Got our BFP on Saturday, thought it was just another late period...I was wrong! Our EDD is May 7th. This will be our first and the first grandchild for my parents so we're super excited.

Hello all! I'm a first timer (I'm also still trying to get a hang of all the acronyms, but I'm doing my best!). I'm 27 and been married to my DH for 2.5 years. We weren't necessarily trying, but surprise - BFP last weekend (my ovulation calendar was off by 5 days). We actually had booked our last "vacation-before-baby" to our honeymoon spot in Jamaica in April, but it seems we will need to be canceling that (it's is 2 weeks before our EDD).
Trying to keep positive vibes going as I have fears of miscarrying (my sister had 2 before she conceived with my now 6 month old nephew).
I am 27 and overjoyed to be expecting my first little angel. I am beyond new to motherhood, but all of the boards have helped me thus far. I am about 5 weeks pregnant, and my estimated due date is May 6th.
I am a high school English teacher in Texas, so I'm definitely looking forward to having my baby in May so that I can have all Summer with him or her ☺️ (God willing!)

I'm 29 and DH is 30 and we had been trying for about 6 months. This will be our first (besides our fur baby - Chewy).
Haven't made my first appointment yet... Planning on doing some research over the long weekend and making my appointment on Tuesday. We're still both quite nervous but very excited for what is to come. DH has already been quite the worry wart - making sure I have food in the house to eat, that I'm eating, taking my vitamins, etc. I think he's calming down a little bit though.
I look forward to getting to know all of you better and I hope we all have a happy and healthy 9 months.
Hello ladies! I'm Ali and I am 28. Got my BFP on Tuesday. It has been a whirlwind of emotions the past week or so. My brother and SIL had their first last Thursday. Then last Friday my grandfather passed away. His funeral was Monday and Tuesday we found out were pregnant. So many emotions on top of being pregnant! This will be our second child. We have a daughter who turned two on Aug 22. I'm excited to get to know you ladies!
So excited to share the next 9 months with you all. Im 27 and DH turns 29 next Wednesday. I thought I could keep my BFP a secret and surprise him on his birthday but I just couldn't hold it in. This is our first and this was our 3rd month TTC. We living in Indianapolis. We love our city... Indy racing, Colts and Pacers. DH is in school leadership and I'm an elementary school counselor. Our EDD of May 7th is perfect timing for summer break.
I'm Meredith, 25 and got my BFP today at 10 DPO!!! I had a m/c at 8 weeks in 2014 and my husband and I were devastated, of course. August was our first month to officially try again and I'm overjoyed that it happened and so excited to be a part of this group! I had been charting everyday, paying attention to the ovulation signs and was very thankful I did because I ovulated late on cycle day 19. This will be our first child. Our EDD is May 17. 2016!
My doctor just prescribed me to prometrium and a baby aspirin everyday. Has anyone else had success with prometrium in the second pregnancy after a m/c? I'm definitely nervous and being cautiously optimistic but I serve a big God so I'm trusting all will be okay!

Hi everyone! I'm Julie, 29, live in Maine with my husband of 7.5 years and our 3yr old daughter. SAHM/WAHM. We started TTC #2 April 2014. I ended up having a vaginal cyst removed 2/2015 so that set us back almost 3 months. We got a BFP 7/30 but miscarried 3 days later. I am a fast griever by nature so about 10 days after I was honestly starting to have 2nd thoughts about having another child. Long story on that one...Then surprise! I had some faint positives with Wondfro tests this week but they were expired so figured maybe I couldn't trust them.
Took a digi test this morning and lo and behold, pregnant. I'm a bit in shock right now. Terrified of the change in status quo to go from one kid to two, especially with our very busy lifestyle. Right now I'm a little numb so it will probably be a few days before I am truly excited not brain spinning. EDD is May 13.

After over a year of actively trying, several Years of ntnp a month of really expensive tests from the RE but no actual treatments and deciding that we were just going to adopt we got a very positive test at just 10dpo! Shocked is an understatementx we had even contacted an adoption attourney. we have an almost 3 year old & I am a sahm. Edd is may 8th at this point. Bloodwork confirmed around 4.5 weeks. I will have an US in 10 days with my specialist and if all looks well I will be released to a regular obgyn.

We have been trying different fertility treatments since December and just completed our first round of IVF. So far all the bloodwork looks good, and I go next Friday for an US. My EDD is May 3rd!! We r excited beyond words! It still doesn't feel real, and with all the ups and downs over the last several years while ttc it's hard to get too excited so early on, but each step along the way makes it feel more and more real!!!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking for a week or so and I'm antsy to talk, so here is my intro! I'm 38, my husband is 40 and we were married earlier this year. We started ttc pretty quickly and got the BFP on our second month--much faster than we expected! Fun fact: This future LO was conceived while on vacation in Prague!
This will be our first, and I have to admit that we are pretty much clueless. Most of our friends are childless (by choice) and so although we are surrounded by some wonderful people, they won't be the best for baby talk. I was pretty active on the TTGP board while we were trying, and that was a HUGE help both for information and support.
I was a little disappointed that my first appt. at my OBGYN office isn't until 8 weeks as I have a TON of questions. It will be nice to have this board for talking until then!

Hello all! This is my third pregnancy within the last 15 months (MC at 6 wks in 06/14, and MC with D&C at 9 wks in 01/15.) So this time around I'm pretty high anxiety, which is probably driving my midwife nuts. I O late so due date is roughly May 10th. As a teacher, I'm really hoping this one sticks!
My numbers came back great this week, hcg more than tripled in 48 hours but the progesterone was low-normal at 10.9, which my midwife was very comfortable with but it freaked me out and due to my history I requested progesterone supplements which I started last night if for nothing else to help ease my anxiety.

This little one was a HUGE surprise. We have 2 kiddos, a 3.5 year old DD and an 18 month old DS. We were done, but we have been blessed with this beautiful surprise, while I was anxious at first, now I am starting to get excited. we are from Philly, PA, but since my husband is in the service, we have lived in CO, Germany, and Now reside in Louisiana. @katelynboyle: We are a military family too. Have you been in Louisiana long? We are from Illinois and Wisconsin so being stationed down south has been quite the change, even though the south has been "home" for 5 years now.
@hawksfan82 we have been here for a year now. Such a huge shock for us, we are not used to this heat and humidity! I'm getting ready to go back home for 9 months during the hubs deployment. This will be my second kiddo born without daddy present. Oh the joys of this lifestyle lol

Hi ladies! I'm so excited to be saying hi! Yesterday my jaw dropped when I got my first bfp. Then another via digital. This was our first cycle, and due to our ages (I'm 34, he's 39) I honestly expected this to be a bit more of a journey. Today I tested again and got two more faint bfps, but I'm taking it. Hopefully dr can get me in this week to confirm, but 4 bfps (and one bfn) must mean something, right We will be married only 5 months this weds, but we both knew we wanted to try right away. Until we know for sure we are not getting too excited but inside I'm all "I'm gonna be a mom!". Can't wait to spend the next few months with you guys!
