I'm from Pittsburgh, PA. I love the family-friendly things here like the museums, playgrounds, and the zoo. In general, this seems to be the sort of city that keeps people once they put down roots. The main reason why we still live here is that most of my family is here.
I live in Staten Island, NY... What I love is our families are here and you have access to anything and everything within a 10 minute drive! I also love the way New York looks in the fall
Big enough to have plenty to do but small enough that traffic isn't horrendous! I would not survive a really big city where I would have hour plus commutes. It takes me 45 minutes max to get to my mom's house. I live in a southern suburb and she lives in a northern one. That's about the longest it takes to get anywhere in the Des Moines area.
Central Coast, CA. Family is here, we only have one freeway, we're hard to get to, so it's got a nice, small town feel to it. Also 15 min. from the beach!
@KLG8806 hey there, fellow Long Islander-- Oceanside-- anywhere near me? First time pregnancy, so I'm excited, anxious, and happy, all rolled into one )
I'm from central Missouri. My husband I were both born and raised here, and then moved to St. Louis for about 10 years. Once we had our first daughter, we moved back to be closer to family, and slow down the pace of life. It's a small community (I MISS TARGET) but that's what we want
I'm in Iowa City, IA. There are a lot of great things about this place. We're a college town, so it's fun and spirited here (especially now with football around the corner).
I live in upstate New York in the Adirondacks. I live in a really rural area and moved here a few years ago so I really don't have any close friends that are local, which is why I think I'll love being on the May '16 board! I definitely need to feel connected to people.
Houston, Texas here. Best thing is it's not Dallas! j/k. Best thing is just that it's home to me. I moved a lot when I was young and in the last 8 years with husband's job. It just feels good to be back in a familiar place.

Utah. Best part, how close the mountains are to me. My favorite fishing place is 5 minutes away. A 15 minute drive and I'm at the top of the mountains. Plus, it's small town life.

I am in the Dallas area as well @lalala2004 & @LitteBit3042, My favorite part so far is that I work at a hospital so some choices that I am about to have to make aren't really choices at all! Being from a smaller town I am super overwhelmed.
Any photographer suggestions that don't break the bank?
The mitten state here...about an hour north west of Detroit and 30 mins east of Lansing. It may be 80+ degrees today, but I'm prepping for winter to hit next week lol!

I wish I had some suggestions! I'm going to be in search of that myself. Our photographer friend is out of state, so I guess we're gonna have to ask around and figure things out. I'll let you know what I find.
I'm from Los Angeles. I love the constant sunshine and wonderful weather. We are on the westside close to the beach, so it's always pretty breezy I also LOVE the amazing food options in this city. So many cultures and the food's always fresh. I can't wait to start eating sushi again.

@jessiem1025 - totally random, but we got both of our dogs from a breeder in Thornton!
