No napping for baby during the day... Worse thing ever bc she's been screaming for hours And since I didn't get any nap today either I am so tired I can't see straight ! I hope I get through the night!
Trying to go to sleep for 3 hours now, including two failed transfers to the bassinet from my arms. I guess I should be happy that she's not been screaming the whole time. But seriously if she wakes up within 10 minutes the next time I attempt to transfer her, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I spent the entire night last night in the nursery recliner with her on top of me. I just can't do it again. Especially since she didn't sleep much during the day today.
DH had the nerve to tall me how hard it was to be at work all day and then come home and "deal with the baby." I deal with the baby completely alone from 7am until 7pm, at which point DH takes her for ONE HOUR while I shower and make dinner for both of us, and then I take her back and do the whole bedtime routine alone most nights. Are you joking. I told him he had two hours every morning to himself while he exercises and gets ready for work as well as a 30 minute commute both ways. All I get is a maximum of 30 minutes to shower. He told me I could relax while LO sleeps during the day. Which would be true if she slept anywhere other than on top of me. There is going to be a rude awakening for DH when I am also back at work and he actually has to split baby duty 50/50. I can hear him snoring right now and if I didn't need him to handle the kid so I can shower every night, I think I'd smother him with a pillow.
LO was either crying or feeding all day today. Another growth sport maybe. Cluster feeding. Who knows. Anyway, it made for a hell of a time putting him down for the night. Bet I will be up with him again very soon. Bleh.
Also I drove two hours to stay with my grandma. I'm too proud to ask her to do a night feeding........ She's up with my GPA every night at 130 am anyways..... But my ego is too proud. I think that's a correct use of language who knows.... I'm tired!
LO last ate at 8 before I got home from work. She was in our room screaming when I got home too, I could have killed DH. Like wtf just sit there while she screams you idiot. But the minute I picked her up he stopped and it took her an hour to fall asleep. Last thing I wanted to do was wake her to eat so I put her to bed and she slept until 3 which is the normal time even when we give her an extra feeding at 10. So thankful for 5 hours of sleep
Up feeding LO.. DH had gotten up to change his diaper and get baby ready for me. This was very nice of him, but I see that he has now fallen back asleep on MY pillow. All I can say is he best sleep with one eye open, I have no problem waking him up to reclaim it. For now, I just glare at him for reminding me who is NOT currently sleeping. [-X
Fun night, going downstairs to put a bottle of pumped milk in the fridge In the middle of the night and almost slipping and falling in a big pile of dog vomit. Then having to clean up said vomit. Ugh Plus side, baby slept for 6 hours and is back down again, but now I'm wide awake thanks to the excitement of my little excursion.
@klkonwi yup woke up to it in the underside of my right boob. And already painful to the touch! Yippee! Hot compress went on immediately. How the hell do you ever stop breastfeeding because I'm pretty sure I'll get abscesses in the process from 100 clogged ducts and my boobs will fall off.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
@dancegurl1118 I was wondering the exact same thing about stopping! You and I will be on the bump bitching to high heaven 24/7 about our boobs. I don't see how it's going to work?!?
@dancegurl1118 and @klkonwi God girls I feel horrible for you! I only got a clogged duct once in the 3 weeks I Bf and it was a nightmare. Can't imagine more. You got this though girls! My thoughts are with your boobs sending them angry messages so they stop! Are you both stopping BF?
@katyertl nope, it's a battle of wills at this point. She's feeding fine and gaining and my supply is fine it's just my boobs don't cooperate and go haywire. When I do stop I'm pretty sure it'll be the worst thing ever.

So we didn't wake LO up for her 10pm feeding and she slept until 3 am like I said before but I brought her to my moms to babysit and we were talking to her and she starts smiling and almost laughing! Like she was so cute! I wanted to cry because she's been such a colicky baby and now so happy! Ahh so relieved and so happy right now!
I'm starting to think that LO is going to wake up at 12:30 and 3 until she goes to high school. Nothing seems to make a difference. And I'm calling BS on whoever said it's 10 lbs or 12 lbs until they sleep through the night. We're past 10 lbs and I can't get more than 3 hours out of her.

I'm with you. We get a max of three and that's a rarity. Just wanna cry.
My sweet baby has actually started sleeping. Sunday from 10-3:30, yesterday from 11-6 (first sleep through the night!!!) and tonight 10 pm and is asleep still. Now if only my boobs knew the routine! Hate having to wake up to pump when I could possibly be sleeping through the night myself, but there's no way I'm risking another infection!
@momtobe613 I'm there with you, but it's 3-3:30 for me. I'll be up until 4:30 at least. This one usually won't go back to sleep until 5. I can't wait until we can sleep train.
@Sammy K I totally hear you. Won't get him back down until 530 and he won't sleep in pack n play passed 645 at the very latest. So freaking exhausting. Sorry your going through it too.
Oh & to add insult to injury at nighttime we used to feed on one boob for 10-12 minutes. Now we've resorted to both boobs for 20-25 minutes each. I thought maybe my supply was drying up but the kid is still swallowing and when I switch sides I can still manually express milk.
LO has been cluster feeding / growth spurting / whatever for the past 2 days. He actually does pretty well at night, hitting a sleep routine of 3 hours, but during the day he was constantly on the boob and nneeding a formula after cause he sucked those boobs dry! So i woke up for him now and think to myself that I'm only going to give a bottle cause I want to let the boobs refill fully, then reluctantly come to accept if he drains them again when they weren't yet full, it will be better for supply. At an average of 20 minutes per boob, that's an extra 40 minutes, minimum, to this wake period, ugh. :-<
Just when I thought we were in the clear. LO is almost 10 weeks. We had about a week of him sleeping 5.5-7 hour stretches. For the past two nights, we get a 4 hour stretch then he's up every 2-2.5 hours after that. Ugh.

Rough night too. At this point I'm happy with the 12/3am feeding but last night Each time up LO had a hard time going back to rock n play even though I rocked her to sleep after burping, so we were up for over an hour after each wake time. But then she was up again at 530 so fussy instead of 630. Screamed each time going down but I refuse to let her sleep with me.
@dancegurl1118 I'm already crying for you... And a little for me that that is coming. You'll have to let me know how many days of the two weeks are really fussy. I'm only on leap one and I want to tear my hair out. Baby won't sleep or get put down last three days. Feeding for hours at a time.
@slr1229 Last night was the first night LO spent part of the night in her crib. We've been doing some naps in the crib for the last week. She's 6 weeks old.
@momtobe613 she's just so clingy and wanting to constantly nurse, and needs reassurance that I'm there even when she goes down for a nap. Hopefully it's short because we're moving this weekend :-S
