@teather5 also, the all day IPAs are my current sipping beverage. They are hoppy and hops are good for milk production, and since they are a session beer they have a low abv of 4.7%.
I need to post something to get rid of a draft that saved... Haha.

I can't find your Founder's breakfast stout ANYWHERE, @mellymar (
It's become like a mystical unicorn to me, searching all over town trying to track it down. I live in one of the biggest cities in the U.S. There HAS TO be one! Right???
First, go to Founder's website and use the find beer tool to see where Founders is sold near you. That will help. Second, it IS a seasonal, so finding it during the summer is going to be harder, cause you're basically looking for a place that didn't sell out of their stock when it came in over the winter. I forget exactly when its released, but I think fall should see them easier to find.
If you're in one of the biggest cities in the US I'm thinking NYC, LA, Seattle...there will be a beer distributor somewhere that has some tucked away somewhere. Time to start visiting those out of the way beer sellers. There is one place near me I think still has some. I may have to make a trip up to have a look...
This is more information about beer than anyone really needs to know. ; )

You would think. And then you sit down for a beer with my DH and he tells you about the hops. And yeast. And brewing process. And labelling. And exactly what chemistry is happening and how your taste buds interact with it. And which glassware is important and why. And how the brewery got its funding. And 500+ other "fun facts." And... The proper or improper glassware can make or break a beer, yes. The ones I recommend here I know can be drank out of the bottle or out of any old glassware with no ill effects. But there are some beer, you drink THEM out of the bottle - Left Hand's Nitro Milk Stout is one I can think of right off the bat, never drink that from the bottle - or others that are not put into proper glassware and the taste is total crap. For real you might think its the worst thing you have ever drank, and put it in proper glassware and the taste is amazingly different and so much better (example of this - sours).
The beer rabbit hole just gets deeper.
Wish you and your hubs could meet us at a brewery and have a few tastings when you have your time stateside @virginiaunicorn11 - that would be fun (if you were going to be anywhere remotely near me, which is a very unlikely probability. Its fun to imagine, tho)

Second your photo comment. DH has been playing Assassins Creed Unity all day while LO and I nap on the couch. He has been doing all the diaper work and half of the soothing when crying work, tho. He knows its small price to pay for exclusive use of the Xbox One we just got yesterday.
My mom recently told me about the term "arsenic hour." Anyone heard this before? Apparently, it's another phrase for witching hour. I think it's basically the funniest thing ever. Because my guy's fussy time is like four or five hours long and poison starts to sound like a good idea....
been drink a combination of apple, grape and prune nectar/juice (because prune by itself is disgusting as hell) and ive drank so much that my stomach hurts, and idk if i should drink more till i feel like im going to shit myself or not. decisions decisions.

Cringing. And laughing a little while I cringe. Hope your tummy feels better. Hugs ❤
@JessHeppell Have you tried magnesium supplements? I use magnesium oxide pills, DH swears by Nature Calm, which is magnesium citrate.
I got incredibly constipated while pregnant and ended up taking a magnesium supplement, two stool softeners, and a probiotic daily. The magnesium supplement is in powder form and was recommended by a colonic specialist. It's called "natural calm" and is available through amazon. Girl, i'm telling you that stuff works! Like really works. You mix it in hot water every day and a few days later the miracle happens. It saved my life while pregnant!
I'm a little sad today because I barely know my kid. I feel like she's so random and inconsistent. when my mom asked me something I said "I don't know, what do you think?" And she says "she's your daughter" I felt so bad/guilty for not knowing her better. We play every day by ear and I follow her lead- which is different every time. Or maybe I don't pay close enough attention. Either way, I feel sucky.
Not to discount your feelings, the emotions are intense in the... But babies really are growing fast and changing rapidly right now, so we're all going to be playing it by ear to some extent - you're not alone, even if someone else might recognize some patterns/habits in LO, it doesn't mean they will be the same next week. And I read a study showing that most moms, and experts could not accurately identify what was causing a baby cry... That helped me relax a little and just troubleshoot the best I can, even if it means trying a few things before I get it right. You are a great, attentive mom - keep it up!<b

I'm so going to try this - yay for an excuse to swing as an adult! Iove swings! I so wanted to go down a slide with DS (in carrier) the other day, but wasn't feelin' it with the friend I was with. Next time

LO has been sleeping pretty much all day. She was awake for a little while this morning, but has been napping ever since. She wakes to eat for a few minutes or have her diaper changed, then falls back asleep. I usually put her to bed at 9. That's in 10 minutes and she's still napping. Do I wake her to go to bed?! Ah. This could be a long night. Must be a growth spurt?
Just changed LO to get him into bed-he was happy as a clam on the changing table, smiling and "talking" then I lay him down in the bassinet and he starts crying. Sigh.

I 100% appreciate this. It was a very emotional day for me. You are right, babies are growing quickly and changing every day.
Thinking about it more, I know a few consistent things like she likes sitting up, I know she likes settings 3 or 4 on the swing. she doesn't like the dog's cold nose on her toes. I'm learning more about her every day, it takes time.
I also found comfort in what @virginiaunicorn11 said, LO knows me. She calmed right down when I held her after she screamed when the neighbor was holding her.
Thanks for the words of encouragement, ladies >:D<
My boobs.. Are so lopsided. As if I didn't have enough new-mommy-body-issues. No matter what I do one side just contibues to produce more than the other and I continue to look ridiculous.
I am a judgemental asshole for doing my own judging of the baby wearing clan as intimidating. They were wonderful as can be and so helpful. I'll just be over here hanging my head for my preconceived notions...

Me too. My right is always bigger, and produces almost twice as much milk.

I'm glad you had a great experience! Did you find a carrier that worked for you?
I need some advice/opinions. DH and I have had some problems and I said that if this certain issue (completely his doing) didn't stop when the baby was born I was going to take her and leave. Lo and behold, here we are 5 weeks pp and it's still happening so im staying at my parents. His grandparents are driving 13 hours this weekend to come meet me and the baby. They have been completely welcoming and supportive of me, they have been very interested in the baby. I'll go back to they can spend time with the baby. However, his mom is planning on visiting the following weekend and I was thinking about not being there. I figured I would let him face the consequences of his actions and have to tell his mom his wife and daughter won't be there and WHY we won't be there.
Am I being unfair to his mom? I can't get through to him, the baby made no difference, I'm hoping this will do something.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this right now. Maybe calling in the big guns (mom), will get through to him. Follow your heart and intuition. You need to do what's best for you and baby. Good luck.
@mvargas12 I think that's completely the right thing to do. If you're not getting through to him, you need some back up! It's what's best for you and LO. It doesn't matter if it's unfair to his mom. Hopefully she will be on your side and talk some sense into DH.
Ugh. At only 26 years old my husband has shingles. He is in a lot of pain and on Vicodin. We are worried about him handling the baby too much because it's making him very loopy. We also have to be very careful about washing our hands before handing LO so she doesn't get chicken pox. A lot of extra work for me at only 7 weeks.
@mvargas12 I'm sorry you have to deal with this and am glad you are strong enough to leave. You're not on the hook to make things ok for his mother, but maybe you could arrange a time for her to spend with LO. You don't need to feel like that hangs on you, though. I hope things work out, and you get the support you deserve. Big hugs
I agree with you @lovethatcolosun , time to bring in the big guns. I just can't help but feel a little bit guilty since I really do like my MIL. I'm hoping to talk to her after my husband does so I can tell her my side of things. I'm sure he'll conveniently leave a couple of things out. I'll suggest meeting separately, just hate the thought of "sure I'll meet with you, but not your son"
I'm hoping me leaving and taking the baby will really put things in perspective for him, but if it doesn't then I am thankful this is all happening now that DD is a baby.
@virginiaunicorn11 I have been blessed with a crazy supportive family. They raised me to be strong and always do what's best for me all while having my back 100%. Without that, I would have never had the courage to stick to my guns. I'm very lucky, I know a lot of women don't have that support system and are going through things much much worse.
@mvargas12 you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm behind you. It does suck about meeting with his mom, but you're right, its not on you to take the burden of making sure she sees your LO if her son is being an ass. I would also try to contact her to meet separately since you do have a good relationship with her, but yes, that doesn't have to be at your place.
What a shame you are having to deal with this. Hugs.
@mellymar he is AWESOME! We started him on an antiemetic/anti-anxiety and took him off the tramadol and he did a 180. The tramadol was making him crazy with anxiety and giving him diarrhea and wasn't helping with the pain at all. He basically was sedated the first day on the anti-anxiety and just spent all day sleeping which was what he needed. No poop screeches either. We got him shaved so all his butt mats are gone too. We're tapering off the NSAID and muscle relaxer though so a bit nervous. He's very itchy post haircut which is normal but he is almost back to his normal self and my husband and I are over the moon. Thanks for asking

Boo, I learned LO will wake up when we stop with said swing.
Witching hours: 21? @virginiaunicorn11: 0
I'm joking but ya it's too funny IMO.
And no no no, "stabby" is NOT F'ING "STANDBY"!!

Its hot as the devil's ass here today. Omg. I've spent half the day in the bedroom (the only room with a window unit AC)
@dancegurl1118 how is your dog?
