I would just like to congratulate myself for bumping this thread because it bumped the "am I showing at 9 weeks?!" thread from the first to second page. I'll try not to break my hand patting myself on the back.
This is the weird fat feeling/not baby stage that I hate about pregnancy. I start the day feeling good about the lack of pooch I see into the mirror. Halfway through work I look down and have a gas bubble the size of a 4 month tummy. Straight up FML moment. Especially when clients tell me they "totally knew" I was preggo because I am "showing." No bish... You are looking at the reason I'm gonna go fart in my car while you are processing!
Guess it makes perfect sense seeing as though every single woman is exactly the same, every single pregnancy is exactly the same and every uterus expands at the same rate. Science.... Lol Appleseed or cantaloupe.... The uterus expands to make room for the blessing inside.

I'm confused....
Are you trying to tell me (or us) that my raspberry may really be a cantaloupe?! Eff science! I've got a cantaloupe ladies!!!! Look at my teeny tiny raspberry making me look 7 months pregnant! I'm really harboring a cantaloupe!
For what it's worth....Yes every pregnancy is different but NO when your baby is this tiny your uterus does not need to be the size of a basketball. It will grow and accommodate as the baby gets bigger it does not magically grow just because it woke up this morning and said "Eff science I'm growing bishes!". We're all still early enough that there's no bump. Blump sure. Bump no.
I majored in science.
Science FTW.

I'm just still not sure if I want to know if there is a problem at this point. The logical part of my brain does, because it wants to prepare, but after two losses, I just really don't know how I would emotionally handle any more bad pregnancy news.
@utmissy and @officedronette yes I was referring to the Materniti21 test. I'm baffled that the results for sex came back incorrect. It must have been a different test because screwing up results on a test like This could mean they're literally telling someone their baby will die when their baby is healthy. Who cares about the "gender reveal" party, shouldn't your friends be more worried that the other results were incorrect? P.s. this is one of hundreds of reasons why sex reveal parties are a terrible idea, IMO.
I'm baffled as well. One was the elective blood test so it was only done for the sex so no need to worry about other results being wrong. The other had two seperate blood tests, one of which being elective for only the sex (she was to get it back sooner). I'm betting that the Materniti21 screening is the accurate one and the elective was wrong as seeing it being wrong twice from the same labs tells me that particular lab has issues or is scamming people. And yes, I agree on the reveal parties. My reveal to family members will be done via the telephone. I'm old school like that.
Can someone please explain this to my husband? He thinks I am showing.... "No, honey... That's bloating and ice cream. Now stop embarrassing me by telling everyone that your almost 7 weeks pregnant wife is showing"
This post is greatness!! All of you "mean girls" seem like fun to me! You can totally sit at my table

pregnant after round 2 of IVF. Transferred 2 embryos and (surprise!) was pregnant with triplets. Identicals passed at 8 and 10 weeks. Still have one healthy baby boy with EDD of July 30!
Hubby won't let me buy a second car because we only live 6 blocks from my office (for now - we'll be moving in the next few months). Problem is those six blocks are basically VERTICAL because Seattle and my bloated exhausted ass is not hauling itself home.
So I'm waiting in my office, 45 minutes past the time when I should have gone home, for him to pick me up.
Mama's going car shopping this weekend. He is welcome to try to stop me.
My husband keeps rubbing my fat belly in public. I have told him a million times it's bloat not baby! I'm going to make him read this PSA, before someone asks me how far along I am! ">
Have any of you considered that there are a lot of first time mums out there who aren't sure when that stuff is supposed to happen.. I'm 10 weeks as I've had people ask me if I'm showing or just gaining weight. Instead of negative sarcastic posts why not something informative kind and supportive for those of us still learbing? I read this post and it out me off this forum because you honestly made me feel like an idiot. Everyone's an expert right? So for all you second third fourth time mums being snarky perhaps remember how excited lost and overwhelmed you were for baby no. 1 and offer support instead of making first timers feel even more out of the loop.. Piece of my mind from a 20 year old first time mum.

I said no, just bloated all over.
She tells me I'm lucky. She was showing a LOT by that point.
I just left it alone.
