Wow. SO many irritable and crazy, mean spirited ladies in here.
@JaneJane7 hang out in here for long enough and you will be "irritated" by the incessant nonsense too. (p.s. "Crazy" is thinking something the size of an apple seed inside shows like a cantaloupe on the outside.)
Wow. SO many irritable and crazy, mean spirited ladies in here.
Yes. You're right. I think I speak for the entire Bump community when I say that your well-worded argument and eloquent speech has left us feeling deeply chastised and sorry. We apologize for informing people with evidence-based facts and for not blowing glitter in the air for every one of the 200 people that fail to read the blaring "READ FIRST" blog on the top of the screen and those that ask us if nausea is normal. We are also sorry we don't reassure them that an appleseed-sized embryo can create a basketball-sized bump, because science is not real and imagination is what we should base our lives on. Please, forgive us, and if you have any further problems here's where you can go: https://community.babycenter.com/groups/a6737821/july_2014_birth_club
We're not arguing with the science. We're just saying you don't have to be so mean about it. You can share what you know without tearing other people down.
So a handful of mean girls get to determine what this community is and isn't?
Oh geez. Yes, everyone is so mean. Sheesh
Or how about those people who are actually participating and growing to know each other-who naturally will have a bit of a bond-over people who come in, complain and WK for randoms, and don't actually contribute anything?
We're not arguing with the science. We're just saying you don't have to be so mean about it. You can share what you know without tearing other people down.
Your argument is invalid. Several times the 'mean' ladies of this board have politely answered this question. SEVERAL TIMES. If someone walks up to you and asks you the same thing over and over in person, what is your reaction? I know after about the third time I've given the same answer I get IRATE. If people would look for their answers before posting something that has been answered 4521354 times, ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS ON THE FIRST PAGE; the ladies wouldn't get so harsh. It's not being mean, it's being annoyed. You would understand that if you browsed for a while. You might even be clued in to the fact that SEVERAL TIMES the "mean girls" issue has been addressed. Do your research - you don't have to go far. Just a few clicks.

You know what the irony is about all the complainers? @merrae , @Janejane7 , and countless others that jump up and cry "mean"? If you look at their comments, not one of them is a "congrats!" or "T&Ps" on the posts about ultrasounds, the women asking for good vibes for spotting, nothing. The ol' meanies are the ones that are giving "support".

Madison arrived on May 19th at 6:35 am (:
oh man... I'm a little over 5 weeks and totally showing.... my bloatedness that is...and feeling it too. I find myself having to tell husband it's not baby just extremely bloated. teeheehee.. I'm already considering buying maternity pants. My normal jeans either don't fit or are uncomfortable.
Where's that damn slow clap gif? I'm on mobile, damn!!
I'm on mobile. Would you settle for an ant-sized meme? (And why can't I tag you?)
Good enough! As for tagging, because my sn sucks, I don't get tagged. Bah. I tried changing it a few months ago, but TB mysteriously changed it back on me.
catahoulatte not everyone has time to post over 30 replies a day - some of us have jobs. And I consider my posts on this thread supportive of the women who came here looking for support and whom you've chased out with your negative comments.
@shelbutler thanks for such a "valid" argument, as opposed to my "invalid" one. Because while my comment on mean girls has been addressed "SEVERAL TIMES," your point about newbies not reading earlier posts is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL.
Theusualmischief ...I think you missed the point of the movie Mean Girls...maybe try watching it again.
And yes, I'm leaving, feel free to celebrate (I know you will). Just remember karma's a bitch.

I work over 40 hours a week, for the record.
Also karmas a bitch? Would love to know what exactly you're insinuating with that. I'm a great person, but I also keep it real. I don't sugarcoat anything. If that makes me a "mean girl" or a "bitch" I'll wear that label with pride.
Married July 19, 2014.
Inherited one stepson, so excited to continue our family!

YEA! This is funny! This is what i needed. I'm 5 weeks and so freaking bloated and achy and freaking miserable I had to wear my super stretchy elastic band pants to work where everyone kept asking if I was good because i was so miserable.
This is what I needed. Laughs. Thank you. I also did laugh at some of the arguing... Idk what's wrong with me
If you don't have anything nice to say ...don't say anything at all. You most likely hurt some feelings... How does that make you feel ?
How about if you don't have anything intelligent to say, don't say anything at all. I think you're telling us to ignore ignorant people and I think it's of better service to them to correct them on their mis-information.
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.

I love when people think that "having a job" makes them unique and special on this board. I just finished a 14-hour shift where I peed once, didn't get lunch, and sat down for all of 15 minutes, so your "I work for a living" point is stupid and invalid. I consider myself a somewhat regular on this board and I can tell you that the Bump culture was established before I got here six months ago and will still be here the day I decide to leave. No number of WKs is going to change that. Don't waste your time. I don't think it's unreasonable of me to expect people to act intelligent and not like a bunch of illiterate morons who can't figure out how to use a search bar or find Web MD and spell check.
I would just like to point out that regardless of the fact that I'm clearly not showing, I am still enjoying my snuggly maternity pants, because bloating is awful and my tummy needs room! :P

Wow talk about debbie downers around here for a lot of women this is their first pregnancy and they are excited. This post is just rude! I mean seriously I pray that these excited ftm's dont read this post. I don't care if its bloat, a baby, or a big lunch if it males you happy thinking its baby go right ahead some women need to get off their high horse jeez
And add that I'm a FTM and I'm damn excited. Also, I don't think they're being mean. I'm seriously becoming impatient with people posting the same questions over and over, especially when the same question was asked on the same page. You don't even have to flip pages! And don't get all butthurt when someone tries to point you in the right direction. Being honest so the other person can have better information is not mean, so just fucking grow up.
