I was going to take KJ grocery shopping with me but DH said he would not mind if she stayed home with him even though he has to do schoolwork today. I am so glad because it is raining really hard. Shopping with a baby in the rain is not fun.
@WasNotWas - we have the ointment instead of drops. It's been fun.....DH thinks he has it too, so off to urgent care again.....I'm glad I'm stocked up on wine.
The ointment is the worst!! Seriously whoever the genius who thought of it need a good shaking. Have you seen Knocked Up? The first thing I thought of was your DH and DD farted on each others pillows
I'm so impressed with LO's little brain! He's had a serious word explosion over the last week. Just today he's learned rain (very appropriate given our weather). I swear his vocabulary has nearly doubled.
For those with older littles - when does the nonsense babbling stop? I love love love LO's endearing random babbles, and I'm sad thinking about when he will be "too old" for it.
We went to a a fairly big church and have been for a couple of months. Before i had j i would stare at the parents of noisy tods. Now i just ignore it. The church itself is huge and the demand of daycare is beyond their compacity. So there are nearly 50 tods, infants and little people talking, whining, eating, clapping or babbling at a given time. Luckily J enjoyed mimicking the ladys praising beside us. No stares at this mom this week.
@kdc2007 when we've had pink eye we get the ointment too. I do it while they are sleeping. Also the doc told me the tube has enough to dose a family of four because "everyone is going to get it anyway." Gross. But yeah, I usually end up using one tube for at least 2 people in the family when I get it.
LO has been getting really jealous of DH lately. Like, pushes DH away when he tries to hug me.
This afternoon, DH fireman carried/ran me out of the living room down the hall. LO totally freaked out and ran after us crying a lot. I couldn't help myself and giggled a lot.
I cleaned so much today but am regretting it so much right now! My poor pelvic bone hurts so freaking bad right now . Just need to keep telling myself only 3 more weeks, only 3 more weeks...
Another sick baby here. She seemed to be getting over a cold but this evening started to seem irritable and then started grabbing her right ear. She pain-cried when we put her to bed so we gave her some Tylenol and now I'm rocking her and she's out. I think she might have an ear infection and laying down might bother her
We're flying on Tues. I googled and what I read seemed like most ear infections are gone in 48 hrs. I'm hoping that's the case here - any advice from experience? If we weren't flying Id prob wait it out and not see the dr tomorrow unless she was really miserable, to see if she gets over it on her own. But i think I might go ahead and call the doc in the morning.
@steamboat123 thanks! I just asked my good friend who is a pedi and she said the same thing. She said antibiotics can really start to help quickly and if she was feeling fine she's be ok to fly. So I'll be calling first thing in the am!
Also, it's awesome having a good friend who is a pediatrician. I definitely try not to take advantage of her and only ask questions once every few months. But she's asked me insurance questions so it evens out! And she's always been encouraging for me to ask her stuff.
@musicalsilver you're telling me! I'm still in disbelief that in a few weeks I'm going to have my third baby. In approx. 2 weeks I'm going to be an auntie for the first time as well. Why must time go by so fast!?
