So at midnight Grayson was still awake going strong so I gave him to Alex so I could sleep since I had to be up at 5:30 this morning. I have no idea what time Alex brought him back to me but I know it was after 1 because I couldn't fall asleep until then. We really need to get this kid back on his sleep schedule....
Good morning bees! I'm already out of the house on my way to a sorority breakfast event. A friend of mine is visiting us and she wants to have a "auntie day" with KJ but KJ has not warmed up to her. DH is going to take them out to breakfast and then see how KJ warms up to her and maybe afterwards she will take KJ to a park.
@majwv8 Awesome! Now I need to figure out what size we need. Lol. And do I buy the breast or the whole bird? I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't even like turkey.
I suggest spatchcocking the turkey if you have never made one (less cooking time and less room for error). And you need the whole bird
@majwv8 I know...I didn't realize he was teething so I'm not sure if that's what's been going on but it's definitely back to the drawing board for us. We don't have a crib so it might be time to start transferring him to his own twin size bed. Now to find a twin size bed and frame that won't cost an arm and a leg...
My MIL makes me face palm all the time!!! Just sent her a video with a message sloth at read Jameson saying "thank you", she responds with what is he saying. I'm not responding.
@ColieAnn31 - we do a twin mattress on the floor as well. It's just a thinish foam one. No box spring. When visiting family we also just do the mattress on the floor without a box spring.
Should I be concerned that my girl immediately relaxes and starts swaying every time she hears Janet Jackson's Anytime, Anyplace? I'm going to have to stop playing it when she learns lyrics.
@heelibrarian thanks! I may be messaging you at some point! I don't really have anyone I can talk to about cosleeping. Everyone I know just tells me to do cry it out.
Marvel's Avengers Live is awesome. Ty was into it, until we were like an hour and a half into it and he dropped his water, but we had a box so we just went and got some food I highly recommend it to anyone who has an older boy (or girl who is into superheroes)
We are visiting family for my grandma's birthday and an early thanksgiving. Everyone is mooning over LO, which is always fun. However, I really wish I had one of those kids who is easy to travel with. He just reverts to every bad sleeping and eating habit he's ever had any time we aren't at home. I wonder if it's acceptable to drink booze-laden coffee before a dinner celebrating my 89 year old grandmother.
@34blondie - I took Prilosec for heartburn. I ended up taking it daily during my third tri- and my dr wrote me a script for it but you can get it over the counter as well. It was literally a life saver. Felt like a completely new person and I cos eat normally. Good luck though- third tri heartburn is the worst!!
@sctiger Looks great! We've done a good bit of remodeling in our day so I know what a pain it is. I've vowed never to DIY again
You mentioned your H was gonna build a vanity. You've probably done your research but we've had good luck finding nice vanities for very good prices at Costco and IKEA. Even found one at Home Depot. And we definitely go for low price but pretty good quality. I'd recommend looking into it if you haven't, especially Costco because you wouldn't necessarily expect it from there!
And we even had really good luck with craigslist once when we wanted a pedestal sink.
Now that I think about it, we've bought 5 bathroom vanities for remodels. I think that is too many for someone who is only 30!!
@34blondie my heartburn kicked my ass. I had to stop eating at 3 pm if I wanted any chance of sleeping. Literally nothing helped (I realize how much that doesn't help you)
Feeling pretty good about the purging that H and I accomplished tackling our garage today...goodwill got a lot today! And managed to keep A entertained in the process.

I just asked him and he looked into buying one but our house was built in the 1970s and has different dimensions from what you usually find now. It would be more expensive to buy one for our dimensions but it's not a big vanity so he can build one pretty cheaply.
Yeah I understand weird dimensions. Our first house was built in the 50s and was all wonky! That's why we ended up going with just a small pedestal sink there, but that's definitely not ideal if you want storage.
What kind of top are you going to use? We got a good deal on granite from going to a stone place and getting them to cut a piece from their scraps. If your vanity isn't very big then it's not hard to find a scrap piece of granite that saves a lot of money. We even had a double vanity when we did that and found a scrap piece big enough.
Good luck! I love topics like this so please show us what yall do. I love the travertine - we used travertine in two of our baths. My dream is an all-carrera marble bathroom but that just wasn't affordable.
I was trying to convince MH that we needed to add a third story to our house before we move back but he wasn't interested. We wouldn't DIY but it's still stressful getting something like that done. But I was so excited, planning out everything in my head. We were gonna have a huge master suite with two walk in closets and my carerra bathroom. There would be a reading nook window and a future office that would be a nursery until we were done with kids. And it would be open to the living room below, allowing us to make our big wall of bookcases into a two story wall of bookcases. But I know it's just dreaming
I'm trying to remember. I know I had issues every time but figured it out eventually. I think you can just choose somewhere in the options of the wish list not to share the address...??? I know you can put an address in there, and I know there is a way to make it private.

Sorry that wasn't much help!
