How much paper is too much paper for LO to eat? I mean obviously I strive for no paper in his mouth and/or belly, but he is quick! And he finds any kind of paper possible. Napkins, envelopes, check book, books, toilet paper, yarn wrappers...I mean, it all goes in his mouth and some of it I can't get out
@Bookshelves, same boat as you. Except I gave up and ran my errands. Guess what I'm doing now? Sitting in the Target parking lot while R naps. I refuse to wake him but I'm on my 3 cup of coffee and need to pee. Silver lining is I have pastries I just bought sitting next to me!
@dreamingbabies, I thought of you during my shower just now. (Insert creepy gif.) But I spent my entire shower with an audience, because W has decided she needs to supervise my bathing. Aka, standing at the shower door and banging on it, while my H perched on the toilet and cheered her on.
@shellbell3845 well I *need* two I think. But I don't have a Sams Club membership so I couldn't buy any. Plus I may have to run this by DH. I sent him that pic with no explanation so we'll see what he says.
I really just took a selfie with a giant nutcracker (it's wood, not plastic btw) in a store - that's weird right?
No way, that's not weird! I took a selfie with a cardboard Justin Bieber at the mall.. I have a Sam's membership too if you are out this way and decide to buy.
Lo is on a puree strike. ..I don't really know what to do about it. I guess give her more pick up foods...this means going to the store.
We're going through that too! The new favorite snack is a hunk of french bread, which she carries around with her and periodically takes bites from.
We also do toaster waffles, Morningstar Veggie Patties (they crumble pretty well), and pieces of cheese. OH and Ritz Crackers. Girl goes to town on some Ritz.
MH said I can get them but he's not getting involved with transporting them or putting them out. So I guess I have to see how heavy they are. I think his aunt has a membership so I'll try that first.
I'll come down and help you. We'll rent a pick up truck and then go eat grilled cheese.
@rachaelmary I am a little jealous that that will contain your baby! Mine would try to crawl through the slats in the chairs, and end up getting stuck. Or crawl through between the chair legs, and then get mad when she realized she was on the other side. Or throw herself over the one chair back so she was on that landing step. I can envision my DD doing all of these things!

Oh I'm sure she will attempt these things. I just put it up...she usually climbs over things so it's only a matter of time. I need a legit baby gate as she will climb all the way upstairs if I let her.
Eta-and she definitely isn't happy about this jail. She keeps standing there screeching haha.
I'm sitting in the parking lot of the clinic where I got my drug test /TB test. They have to check my arm to make sure I don't have tb. Lol.
I pulled a @Bookshelves and purposefully left early so W would fall asleep. But now she's passed out and it's raining and she's heavy to carry inside in her bucket seat, and she'll wake up anyway, and then be cranky because she didn't sleep long enough. PROBLEMS.
@Codypup call the clinic and demand they send someone out to check your tb test. I'm sure they'll accommodate you.
OMG. That would be so awesome. "Hi, so I know it's pouring and cold, but sleeping baby. Can one of you scurry out here please to diagnose me as TB free? Kthanks."
@bookshelves, and all with sleep woes - my suggestion is if after ~15-20mins LO isn't asleep or almost asleep (as in eyes closed, drifting off) then give it up and try again a tad later. I've gone as long as 30mins if I know LO is starting to relax at the 15min mark. Generally I've found it's far less stressful than fighting a baby for 60+mins.
Has anyone baked pears to cut into finger foods? How long should I bake them for? Im finding conflicting info online. A @Mevaroo I wouldn't get it based on what you said.
I just suddenly got really, really nervous about starting work again. And leaving W at daycare. I've gotten kind of used to this SAH thing!
I also don't know what to wear or do I bring my lunch? Should I bring a lunch box, or will that look really stupid? Will I get any breaks? Can I keep my cell phone on me in case daycare calls?! So many questions. And I feel silly asking.
+1 for the boycotting nap club. Lo has been up since 6 with no nap (it's 1:15 here). @BlueDot818 I just did the same trick. She won't let me put her down without flipping her shit so I stuck her in the ergo and walked to get myself a treat at Starbucks.

None of those are silly questions. I'd imagine you'll get break -- that's a legal issue. And I don't think it's out of line to request you be reachable by phone -- either an office number or your cell -- in case dc calls. I take a lunch box to work with me.
We decided to have Thanksgiving this Sunday with the ILs...I really don't want to. They drive me crazy! MIL wants to make comments about how DS doesn't know them and we need to come over more often, but doesn't make an effort to see him. FIL just makes rude, inappropriate comments or talks about people we don't know. Sorry for the whining.
Also my hand-wringing over the convertible seat continues. I'm going to ask my mom to post in the CSFTL FB page (since I don't have FB) but do you guys think LO looks right here? I have an infant insert and a head thing that I can put on but it doesn't seem like there's enough room for her and all that stuff. What do you think?
@elf828 She is a cutie. The shoulder straps look a little high but it's hard to tell in the picture. They should be at or below the shoulders for rearfacing.
The thing about lunch is that part of this program deals with eating disorders (among other things), and so meals are supervised by staff. Like you sit with everyone while they eat basically. I just don't know if they have food there? Like do I eat what they eat?
I think I'm going back there tomorrow to do more paperwork and I'll get clarification. My hours are also exactly 8 hours, so I don't know if I'm scheduled for a break. I assume I am, but I'm just unsure! It's weird going back into a "real" job compared to my old one, where I made my own schedule and basically was accountable to no one.
Holy $hi+ you guise the screams coming out of T for the last 30 minutes... you would have thought I murdered his BFF. Nap time is over... for the whole neighborhood...
@Noethola did he wake C up? Pretty sure he was loud enough.
So that was why all the dogs and coyotes were howling! He might have woken him up, had C not been following the lead of all the others protesting all naps.
"Elsie Irene was born sleeping at 35w 6d on December 8, 2012. Mommy and Daddy miss you sweet girl."
So I've taken to watching my shows via Comcast online and a commercial for the USPS keeps replaying. It follows a Christmas package through the shipping process, it's making me want to decorate again!
So I swept up a pile of dust/dirt thus afternoon, and before I could pick up the pile with the dust pan, LO had a meltdown. So I put the pile on hold. DH comes home and sees the nice neat pile in the middle of the hallway and says "Noethola, I think something is building a nest in here." Yes love, because a nice little pile of dirt in the middle of a clean hallway totally equals something building a nest...in the house... Lord help me if that ever becomes true, because I would move out!

Now he is insisting I check to see if a certain cable is going into the wrong port. I really don't think my service would have worked for the past three months if they dang cable was in the wrong place. So annoing.
I'm even more annoyed that after being 175 in line to chat they finally get to me just as I put both kids down for their naps. So now I'm chatting with them instead of watching HTGAWM online.
@DreamingBabies Was it you that resized someone's badge for them in Paint the other day? After much effort, I originally only managed to make mine way small using Tinypics but that was too small and I was too annoyed to try to fix it. I just tried in paint, when I try to resize it just takes away a portion of the badge instead of making the whole thing smaller overall. Any advice? Anyone?
It was so cute this afternoon when DD would get angry at something she bumped into (the floor, the table, a toy) and shout "na na na na! Na!" At it.
It is not cute at all when she shouts "na na na na NA!" At me for trying to put her to bed. :-<

Wth Wednesday.
This is my chat with Comcast so far... wth?
John: It's a pleasure to have you on chat. I hope you're doing well today!
John: Hi [iwubrory]!
[iwbubrory]_: Hi
John: How are you?
[iwubrory]_: I'm ok
John: Wow that is good to know.
