Hi All!
I just got my harmony test results back and everything seems to be good (genetically)!! We also opted to find out the sex and.....
we are having a BABY BOY!!!!! Very very excited!!

Anyone else find out the sex? (I will be 12 weeks this Thursday)
Re: Harmony Test Results!!!
2- there is a thread with lots of people talking about this
3- seriously this is your first post to a community?
OP, for your convenience I have included a link to the "All Things Genetic Testing Thread" here.
I see that you're new and I am excited for you to join us! A lot of people don't take kindly here to people posting things that are seen as attention-seeking posts, ESPECIALLY when so many of the same threads already exist. It bumps threads that are more interactive to the second page (which is the best place to hide a dead body).
If you haven't already, check out some of the pinned threads (the threads that are always at the top of page 1) to get a feel of how the board works, when it is appropriate to start your own thread, when you should conduct a search to see if a thread you want to start already exists, etc.
A good rule of thumb is if you want to ask a question or start some sort of discussion, do a quick search to see if your topic already exists. If not - feel free to create something new. If you're just looking to talk about your test results, morning sickness, doctor appointment, etc. it's usually not necessary to start a whole new thread.
Congrats on your good news and we all hope to see you interacting more!

Unreal...
You haven't participated in a single introductory post (there are like 12 so it should have been pretty manageable to find one), a single ticker change, get to know you post, when is your due date post, the daily random chat, any of the symptom threads, I could keep going but it would be redundant. You obviously don't care about creating a relationship with the people here if you simply do a drive by post without taking the time to even see what this board is about.
Yes, this is a public forum so please post as you see fit. It's a free country so do what you want. I was offering some friendly advice on getting into the groove here and becoming a part of the community. It helps to be familiar with how most of the reoccurring community here operates if you plan on participating.
I'm sorry but you don't just walk up to a group of women you don't know IRL, start a conversation about your Harmony test and walk away for the day only to come back like 12 hours later. As with any kind of interaction there are a few guidelines that can/should be followed to help you (General you) become acclimated with a group dynamic.
Could you imagine if 30 women posted within a few days the same exact post? This place would become a buzzkill. People would stop coming here because it was redundant and annoying.
IRL if someone shares something about their Harmony test results, any future conversation would kind of be an extension of that. I.e. "What is a harmony test" - me "Oh a Harmony test is a screening that XYZ" - friend "I actually just got my Harmony results and they were all negative and we found out we are having a BOY!" - you. See? All one convo, even if it's happening over a longer period of time. Same with thread here.
That's why we ask that people LURK first to get an idea of how things work. The Bump itself actually suggests that.
/end rant
Eta words for clarity

Edited for spelling.
There were so many others that I wanted to do but decided to stick with the most polite one I could find
Serious though, the "get a hobby" comment is getting old. Clearly TB would be considered a hobby?
Forgive me for trying to protect the integrity of a hobby that I have.

Sometimes you get the advice you're looking for and sometimes you get the advice you need. You can't pick and choose.

@acleanlife24 ---- This was not my first post.. I commented in "march mamas intro" on July 27th after finding out. Im sorry that you or anyone else was bothered by my post and it was not done for "attention" or anything besides sharing (I now know this was the wrong way--- I get it)
@flowerpower5838 --- Thank you for the feedback. Your right, 30 post of the same topic would be annoying... not what I was trying to do.

@ashdf We would all love for you to stick around so we can get to know you better. Thanks for coming back - I promise no one was attacking you. For those of us that do participate regularly, the repeat posts can become a huge pet peeve so I apologize if we overreacted.
I know you said you're not on here a lot, but if you find some extra time, you should take a look at the weekly ticker change post. It's a weekly update for when you start a new week of your pregnancy. There will be a new one every week so keep an eye out for that. We also have a really random daily chat if you're looking to chat about any and everything - pregnancy related or not! Both of those posts are a great starting point if you're looking to interact more.
I hope to see you around! Again, congratulations on your negative screening and the baby boy news!
