Omg I was so excited that DS was rolling over so much, but now it's hindering his sleep. He wakes up now because he has rolled himself into some jacked up position in his crib(legs through the bars, etc). I found him on his stomach twice last night and he was pissed about it.

This is the exact reason I haven't moved LO to his crib yet. He gets on his belly and screams. I can only imagine what would happen if he were sleeping.
DS has been kicking in his sleep like a madman for weeks and sleep has been few and far between. I told DH I'm going to put him down unswaddled, much to his dismay because he thinks DS is teething, not fighting the swaddle. Best nights sleep we've had in what seems like forever. Went from 5 or 6 wake ups to 1. Knew I should have trusted my instinct earlier. Men are dumb.
So, last night FI took a pic of DS and sent it via group text to his parents, sister, BIL, brother and 2 of his friends.
Later that night, one of those friends tried sending FI a pic of some random woman's ass in a tight dress. (He's always been the pervy kind). Little did he know, he sent it in reply to FI's group.
FI spent a portion of the evening trying to explain to his family that his friend is a total idiot. I laughed... A LOT. His mother's reaction was priceless!

Mine went from 40 to 75 in length. What? ? We switched peds though and the other place was a bunch of morons so I'm pretty sure they were measuring incorrectly.
FYI-morons for not being able to read the scale and telling me my child had lost almost two pounds when in fact she had gained two.
I read this as 40 to 75 INCHES. )
I literally lol-ed at this. Could you imagine a baby that long?!
Can I have a pity party? I just lost my first jury trial in 5 years and I'm pretty bummed out. Wahh.
I'm sure you did great. It's not your fault. You'll get em next time.
I hate when people say things like that. What I really want to say is 'that sucks!' Im totally bummed for you. It's annoying to put a lot of work into something and not get good results.
I do agree with @Eena1242 A 5 year streak is awesome!!
Picked LO up from MIL's around 930 (went to a movie). DH's two nieces were there age 4 and 2. They were still awake. They are always up late whenever we are around them. Come to think it, I don't ever remember seeing them be put to bed. Side eye or no side eye?
Definitely side eye! That's way to late and how do you as a parent get any down time. Although I did have a friend who's kids didn't go down until like 11 pm but then would sleep until 11 am and she preferred that. But most people's schedule can't accommodate that. Side eye!
If my 2 year old gets any sort of nap during the day he will be up until at least 11. Those days suck. Last night he really struggled going to sleep and then woke up screaming 3 times in the MOTN. Neither of my kids are good sleepers.
I don't think SIL and BIL enforce a bedtime. The 4 year old goes to school in the afternoons. The 2 year old is great at sleeping but idk how well it takes to get her down. SIL runs an at home DC and BIL goes to work in the morning until afternoon so I'd say a pretty average schedule. And from what I can see, this is an everyday occurrence. We see them all the time.
I don't think they have one? They have never made them take naps at certain times. Idk I'm probably side eyeing hardcore because I still don't agree with SIL's potty training with the 4 year old...who still wears diapers/pull ups. They don't enforce anything at all. Pretty sure the 4 year old wakes around 630 and the 2 year old has to be woken up and that is around 8 or 9. WHY DO I KNOW ALL OF THIS STUFF.
Is this the SIL that you already have issues with regarding her trying to have another baby? I'm pretty sure that you and I are the same person. I have major issues with my sister and it makes me super judgmental of everything she does with her kids even though I know IDGAF. Like my niece should wear size 24 months but she insists she wears a 3T so all her clothes are baggy and she looks like a hobo. Why does this bother me so much?
@cdseno yep it is. DH's only sibling. I think that makes it worse. I still feel lame for not wanting her to have another baby.
I'm probably way worse with side eyeing her than the normal person but I was genuinely wondering if it was normal for a 4 and 2 year old to be up at 930 a lot of the time.
My little man was puking all morning. Nothing was comforting him, so I put the TV on for him (I'm usually pretty against TV for his age) and it helped distract him, allowing him to fall asleep. I hope he starts feeling better.
I use the TV to get my child to stay still during her breathing treatments. Then again I often catch her watching TV. We have a tiny house and a big tv.
@gahorseygal I used the tv to get DD to stay still while I cut her nails this morning. Somehow I still managed to cut her finger, but it did work pretty well other than that.
@Pink021 mine will pull out the emoji box if I tap in the top right corner of text box (nothing is displayed there until I tap it). Do some phones not do this?
I can see the emoji box, but half of it gets cut off. I feel so limited by my emotions. It's really annoying to me that I can't just use the emoji keyboard. :weary

Ok, being serious now- sorry you had a rough day. One in five years is a pretty good streak though!

@lynds002 I know I shouldn't be bitching! A loss was bound to happen at some point. But it still stung.
