Anyone else start perineal massage yet? We just started tonight and it sucked. It stung and was uncomfortable and I don't think I want to do that ever again. I know I will prob keep at it, at least a few more times, but I'm not going to be happy about it.

Did you use an oil of some sort?

Not sure why but I've very curious about this. I've read about it, and while it is absolutely outside the realm of what I'm willing to do, I'm fascinated that others actually do it..

I originally started on Jan15(due1/1), lurked here and stayed but I keep in touch with a Jan15 mom. I know many of us have a parent or IL battling cancer, if you could keep her in your T&P's I appreciate it and she would too. She is currently on bed rest and her family is going through the grief and anger in the final stages of her mom's losing battle and she is having a hard time.Thanks(sorry to be a mood killer).

Sorry to hear she's going through such a rough time.

I'm impressed with everyone who has even thought about Christmas presents, and with everyone who has a plan/deadlines for getting all the baby prep done by a certain date. I feel like every weekend I think I'll get so much accomplished and then it's Sunday night and I'm staring down another work week with not nearly enough checked off of my to-do list.

I'm planning to work until my due date but I'm wishing now I had made my leave start a little earlier--there's been a lot of reorg at my workplace this year and people are leaving in droves. At this point I don't even know if I'll want to come back after the months I'm taking off or start looking for a new job.

I think crack is made out of PSL mixed with Pepcid at high altitude. So @leosmom25‌ you actually did do crack tonight. The only antidote is vaccuuming though, so you should be fine.

Well, there's some lady on 3rd tri who's pretty convinced that the stress of opening gifts for the holidays is going to send her into PTL. So make sure you don't open any presents or celebrate any holidays!!!11!1!

I have to wonder what kind of terrifying presents her family usually gives out...

So I haven't really talked about this here but I'm a wreck.

My hubby is deployed. He was deployed during my last pregnancy/labor and delivery as well. When he had to go this time he was told he could come home for a week/10 days around my due date do he wouldn't miss another birth. Fast forward to now (he has been gone 2.5 months now) and they are not sure if they will let him come home. So here I am 8 weeks out and now have to figure out who will take me to the hospital/stay with me through labor if my hubby can't come home. Ugh it's all too much. Thankfully my MIL will be here to watch my kids but I was really hoping I would have family support at the hospital.

riansmommie - That's really rough I hope you can at least find a friend or other family if he can't make it. Here's hoping they are just dragging their feet and he can be home after all. ((hugs))

@leosmom25 - I had my shower today and had 1/2 a glass of champagne...definitely don't like my kid as much as others do .

@BrainCellSup - The salted caramel mocha's are my favourite SB drink right now too (although I get them 1/2 sweet).

I'm trying to keep up with this thread because the other random one got too long and intimidating for me. I've been put on temporary bed rest after being admitted last week, so I have a little more time to Bump. Baby is good, but I am struggling with a pretty severe case of gastroenteritis.

Glad to see so many regulars are still here although I'm still trying to get my head around what the hell happened.

@riansmommie‌ that must be tough. Vent anytime! I appreciate your hubby's service but I'm sorry it is making planning and having support difficult for you. FX he is back in time and that you can come up with a contingency plan in the mean time, just in case.

Thanks for the support ladies. I hate complaining about this because I knew it was always a possibility marrying a military man, but man it sucks!! I wish my mom would be able to make it but my sister is pregnant with her first and due 8 days before me. My sister threw a fit about my mom not being there for her so my mom won't be coming here until a few weeks after this little guy is born. Over all this time it's just a shitty situation, I'm really hoping for the best but am preparing myself for the worst.

@riansmommie‌ I know exactly how you feel right now. MH is also deployed and will miss the birth. We are in Hawaii and a long way from home so I am praying I don't deliver before my mom is scheduled to get here. Sorry you are having to deal with this right now.
