We are at 6 hours and counting tonight! If this damn thunderstorm that is just starting wakes DS up, I am going to be ragey. But of course I still got up in the MOTN to pump. We moved him out of the PnP bassinet and into the RnP tonight because it was looking like he was getting too long for the bassinet...maybe that was the trick?
@theteno we did not have a bad experience for our two month shots. She of course was upset immediately after but I nursed her and she calmed down then slept most of the day. She woke up twice a but more upset than normal, Tylenol both times calmed her back down. Don't let yourself get scared, not everyone has a horrible experience and hopefully you will get lucky! Fingers crossed for you (and for everyone else still needing to get them!)
It's incredibly adorable that DS wants to practice talking and cooing, but not after his MOTN feed when he should be sleeping. Lil booger was asleep in my arms after he finished with his bottle, but frigging pops awake when lain in his crib. Usually if he's up like this, he will begin to fuss after the star lights being projected from his frog thingy turn off. Please fall asleep soon.
Edit: Nope nope nope. Demon spawn started squealing before his light shut off and would not go back to fn sleep. I got everyone/thing up in the house. DH is not happy, but if I can't get any sleep on any day, why should he.
Edit x2: I put LO in the bouncer while I pumped and he pulled out his paci and gave me a big ol' "Mom I love you" smile and I felt like a douche for being so cranky. He passed out 5 minutes later in the bouncer while I finished pumping. I still don't understand why he needed to be up for that time period anyways.
@dvmmomma Good luck! I'm in the same boat. I last fed LO around 7:45, probably put him down around 8:15 and he's still down for the count. He is in his swing and needs to be relocated to his crib with out being woken up. This is where I need luck.
LO slept from 7:00 until 10:15. Then woke himself up farting and pooping and hungry. Fed him and he feel asleep again at 11:00 in his bouncer. Praying he stays asleep when I move him to the crib!

I got an hour! @slippintrippin84 I hope you got some sleep in too. It's nights like this when I wish id gone to bed with her at 6 when she first fell asleep. Too bad they can't tell us "this is going to be one of my one hour naps where I'll wake up every 20 minutes" or "I'm about to pass out cold. See ya in 4+ hours". If sleep every time the latter was going to happen.
H is sleeping on the couch but snoring so loud I can hear him through our closed bedroom door. I want to punch him in the face. DS1 is now in our bed because he has a cold and can't breathe well. He keeps yelling in his sleep. DS2 is awake to eat and I feel like it is going to be another night of him just wanting to suckle the rest of the night and if I try to put him back down he will grunt and groan until I put him back in bed with me. All the men hate me
@dvmmomma Well we made it a bit longer- he got me up at 6:45. I thought I heard him at 4:15 but when I went to check on him he was out. I was amazed that he made it through the transition between swing and crib. I still didn't get to bed till 1 so I didn't that much more sleep but it was a nice stretch.
How do you get them to go back to sleep after a MOTN feeding?@?! I feed and he seems to be asleep but as soon as he hits the crib it's party time and then when i'm not responding b/c I'm pumping, it's fussy time. WTF? How do you get them to self soothe? gha. I go back to work in 2 weeks and we can't be playing this game.
My son decided to hulk out of his swaddle at 4:30am. He'd been feed and changed at 2:30, and he started fussing like crazy. When I looked in the PNP he had the swaddle completley undone and was wiggling out of it.... Apparently he wanted to party with his arms free....
What's really impressive is it was the Velcro one!

So tired... LO will not go back to sleep... And this is after screaming and crying for hours yesterday all afternoon and evening with no naps. Hope this is just a growth spurt... I can't see or think straight (
Holy hell. Starting at 1:30am he was awake and fussing every 15 minutes. 12 week growth spurt? Horribly early start to the 4 month sleep regression.
I need coffee.
I was dealing with this last night too, but it was more like every 45 minutes until 4:30am. After 4:30am he wasn't going back to sleep at all! Can the 4 month sleep regression start at 11 weeks?

It started for DS1 at 3.5 months, so I can't remember the exact week but somewhere around 14-15 I think.
There might also be a 3 month sleep regression? I don't know. I just hope we both get a better night tonight.
Ugh. I stepped in something wet on my way downstairs with DS. I really hope it's not cat pee. My cat already destroys everything with his claws; I can't deal with pee too
@flip_flops did you have a good night? My LO was still up all night fussing, but at least DH didn't have to work today so I help. Hopefully you were able to get some sleep!

So it has been a couple days and LO has been sleeping from whenever we put him down, which is usually between 8p and 10p (still working on getting this one consistent) till around 4 or 5am. That's a pretty good stretch, and I'm not complaining, but I wish he would sleep till like 6. If he did that, when I go back to work, I could feed/change him, put him back to sleep while I finished my morning routine, and then be able to run off to DC and then work by 8 or 8 :30. There is no way that I really want to be up all day starting at 4am. I'd almost have to do a second pumping before leaving the house. If work was further away, I'd pump on the way there, but we live only a couple miles from the office. Will he sleep out that stretch better as he gets older? We're 10 weeks now. I keep reading stuff on sleeping and it's super confusing and frustrating to me. I get that schedules are important and all, but when to do it and how to do it are so varied it's ridiculous.
The past 2 nights have been better thankfully. The only thing I can think of is that his Zantac dose was just increased and we just came out of Wonder Week 12. I'm not a fan of the constant paci wakeups.
@slippintrippn84: I feel the same way! Sometimes he wakes up at 4, sometimes 5. Five would be great, but four means that's when I'm up for the day... not fun.
August 2014 Siggy Challenge: Motivational Speaking for Moms
Wasn't able to do this MOTN, but DD was up every single hour last night. She must have one hell of a tummy ache because she won't stop crying, but she would just spit out the gas drops and Colic calm. Momma is tired and not planning on accomplishing ANYTHING at work today...
Just got back from the first date night we've had since LOs arrival. Have to admit it was pretty great. Pleasantly buzzed and enough milk on the fridge to get her through the night.
Now tomorrow morning my feelings might be a different story, depending on how much sleep we get. For now I'm happy :-)
Well, I was going to go back to bed after the MOTN feed, but I'm up pumping. We are hitting the time frames that I have been saying that I want to hit for when I go back to work so this is my trial run to see how realistic this is. At this rate, I should finish pumping in 8 minutes or so, hop back into bed and if LO will sleep as he normally does till 5:30 or 6ish, eat again, go back to sleep... Then I will try out my morning routine (shower/eat) then throw kiddo in the car and see if we can get to DC by 7:45am. A celebratory trip to a fantastic doughnut shop will occur if we can pull this off.
So I'm not sure what's happening here. This child is behaving exactly how my first did during the 4 month sleep regression but he's only just 3 months old today. Starting at 12:30am he woke up/stirred every 20 minutes until I fed him at 3. I have let him fussy and cry for a few minutes so he doesn't get used to me responding immediately, but it just turns into full blown crying and I'm not comfortable with CIO until 6 months.
I'm wondering if he naps too much during the day which is a nice problem to have. He will take 2 3 hour naps in the RNP and then will snooze most of the evening on us. That is an enormous amount of daytime sleep, but I'm of the "never wake a sleeping baby" mindset. Ugh, this is the exact opposite issue I had with my first.
That's what I'm thinking @theteno but I'm just not sure how to keep him up from like 4-5pm until 7pm for bedtime. I'm all for an early bedtime, but not for babies who need to eat at night.
He's supposed to be taking 4 1ish hour naps right now, at least according to the sleep experts. LOL I feel like his daytime sleep has organized into what a 9 month old baby does.
Little a got up at 1:30 to eat and wouldn't go back to sleep. Rocked him for 45 min and finally got him down. I just barely get comfy in bed and he wakes up again. Rock him again, finally back to bed.....and can't sleep. Just start to doze off and the little twerp wakes up again! Now I've fed him and I'm sitting here pumping and trying to decide if I bother going back to bed. Will need to get up in a half hr to get ready for work. Ugh! (
