Seriously. One kid the laundry wasn't so bad. But now with two kids I feel like the laundry has quadrupled. I am constantly doing it and folding takes forever!

I think my wisdom tooth needs to be extracted. Orajel and ibuprofen only makes a small dent in the pain and its keeping me up. The earliest my dentist could get me in was Thursday - it's going to be a long week.
LO made it through the night in the crib!! SUCCESS! Only thing is that he threw 2 pacifiers through the slats and onto the floor behind it. I can see where a bumper would be a good thing in the crib, if only it was safe to use right now. Now I've gotta wait for DH to wake up to move the crib, or find something long enough to reach back there to extract them with. Starting to think that getting a reaching claw thing would be helpful with a little one...and fun to terrorize dogs with. muahahaha.

Have you looked into this mesh, breathable bumpers?

I've seen them but have not seen the need for one yet. Someone gave me a bumper thing, but I haven't really looked at it yet, not sure if it's all stuffing or if it's mesh. If not, I've got my BRU rewards burning a hole in my pocket. Still, if there was a baby olympics and throwing pacifiers was an event, we'd own the gold.
Our air conditioning went out this evening. I had been complaining that DH kept it too cold and this is what I get. He keeps it at 73 but to me it's frigid. I partially blame hormone fluctuation on my sensitivity to it. I have been wearing shorts and tanks because it's summer and all he tells me is to put on more clothing. So now all I want is a cool breeze. We do have a cooling unit that fits into the window (this isn't the first time the AC has crapped out on us on a weekend) so we have our bedroom chilled and we're all cooped up in there to sleep. I'm hoping the house cools somewhat overnight. Moral of the story: Don't complain about the bountiful good things, that are working, in your life - lest they be taken away as chastisement.
I am so mad at myself. I pumped before bed last night and got condensation in the tubes. So I left the pump and tubes on to get it out. Forgot to turn it off before bed in the other bedroom so it was running all night. I hope the motor isn't going to burn out soon now. Ughhh. Luckily I have my old one if it does.
Up at 6:15 to pump and feed baby. She keeps taking half her bottle and then sleeping 1-2 hours at a time. Exhausting. TAKE THE WHOLE BOTTLE AND SLEEEEEP LONGER!
My 3 1/2 week old has been pounding full 4 oz bottles every two hours since 6:00pm. If I try to give her 3 oz, she loses her mind. And she is wide awake. WTF. This is going to be a very long night.
I'm glad you like your blanket and paci, but for the love of all things holy, will you stop spitting out paci?! And you didn't come with a user guide, I've only got one recourse to find that magical way you want that specific blanket wrapped — or even which one you want!
I'm so tired and have a throbbing headache. LO does not want to be put down but will sleep happily cuddled on my chest. DH keeps waking up when the baby fusses and is getting all handsy. This mommy is about to have dad cuddle and I'll go sleep on the couch.
I've had the worst cold known to man for well over a week. I'm pretty sure my supply dipped because I haven't slept at all between being up cough/blowing my nose and feeding. All the while DH is asleep. He just brought the baby over to me and went straight back to sleep. More of a pissed off vent. Sorry ladies!
Time to clean poop out of the carpet again! I had him covered the whole time, went to do the diaper switch and... !
I had bought these pads from Target for my 9th month so that if my water broke in bed it would catch some of it. Luckily, I never had to use more than 2. I put them under the sheet and left them there, my water never broke at home. Since I had extras, we used them to cover the changing pad for LO which has saved us from having to wash the fabric cover every time we got ointment on it or if LO peed/pooed while we were changing him. They are just the right size to cover the changing pad and cheap enough to keep buying (if we need to). We leave the same one down until it gets soiled so we're not burning through them. Maybe having something like this around for changing time will help keep the poop where it doesn't belong?
I don't remember sleep deprivation being this bad with my first... I may not have done this again if I'd remembered...
My first was doing a 7 hour stretch by 8 weeks. This one is not. I am so insanely afraid of the 4 month wakeful with this one because I almost didn't survive last time.
Third night of putting LO into his crib to sleep. Now need to work on a nightly routine to see if that helps get him to sleep faster. Mommy needs some adult time with daddy and starting to put LO down at 10ish does not help the cause. The lack of schedule is freaking me out. I've only got 7 weeks left till I have to go back to work and I'm afraid if we don't have something down soon it will be a hideous transition for all.

I am right there with you. H goes back to work this week and I go back next week and I have no idea how that's going to happen. We've been trying to do a schedule for a week now and LO will have none of it....
Also quality time without feeling exhausted would be so nice. We try to get some during nap time

Anyone else lay their LO down only to have them wake up an hour later with gas? This happens almost every night. Just when I think Im going to get sleep..
I know. I was tired and cranky when I read it. Well. I'm still tired and cranky, but you get my point. It's all good. I'm dreading all these stories about how bad the winter is supposed to be.
Someone wrote that's a satire news site anyways- so maybe it'll be a better winter than last year!
Of you guys don't want winter, send it my way. We live winter and are so ridiculously easy for summer to be over! I'm envious of the Canadians who have already had cold weather and snow.
That said, I learned last year that I've got to keep the kids active otherwise the walls start closing in on us! Last winter we only had one vehicle and my husband worked days... B so we were trapped inside, plus I was crabby, sick pregnant... it was bad.
I hate to say it but right now I hate bfing. Actually I hate everything right now. My sciatica pain is all I can think about and every little movement hurts, so caring for LO is really testing me. DH went back to work yesterday. My life now is either feeding LO or trying to relieve the pain. So frustrated!
For a week now LO eats, goes to sleep then wakes up 30 min later crying with gas pains. Gas drops dont help and I spend over an hour bicycling her legs while she works it out. Then shes hungry again an another hour is spent feeding and burping and laying her back down. Oh and of course praying she doesnt wake with gas again.
Next steps are obviously to rechange diaper and get peed on.
We always cover the front end with an absorbant wash cloth before wiping the back end and i dont take it off until the new diaper is on. I also am now leaving the dirty diaper sticking up in front of the back end as a shield and pray when placing the new one! But the wash cloth has saved me several times.
I second the wash cloth! It's saved me many times. Assuming DS doesn't have a super stream, which has only happened once.

Is anyone snacking while they are up? What calls your name in the MOTN? I just had some peach greek yogurt with a handful of Nature's Valley Protein granola stirred in and a giant cup of water while pumping. I'm finding myself wanting soemthing savory, like miso soup or mashed potatoes, but yogurt is much quicker to grab.
Re: ~The Ongoing MOTN Check In ~
Gassy baby.
I'm going to try and sleep on the couch with all this unfolded laundry and put Thomas in the swing.
Why is there always so much laundry?!?!?!
