DD was dedicated today (a small & simple ceremony where the parents dedicate the child to the Lord as Hannah did Samuel in the Old Testament) & it was just a small ceremony at my parents house with our family. My dad & DD's godmother are ministers so they did it. DD's godmother gave DD the very first Bible she ever preached out of. It's an awesome keepsake. DS told us that he wanted to sing DD a song & play his guitar for her so at the end of her ceremony, DS (3 years old) got his guitar, strummed the heck out of it & sang "Itsy bitsy spider". DD thought it was hilarious. Lol. It was a good day & I'm glad DS participated. Just wanted to share the moment with y'all.
I logged into TB with my safari today instead of the app, I haven't seen everyone's siggies in months and I forgot how much better it is with them! I now probably need to do something to mine......

I know! I hate the blasted app so much & then over the last month my laptop pretty much kicked the dust. I'm glad to be back in action here. I've missed everyone. December hasn't been kind to my schedule or my nerves.
Ugh. How many sleep regression threads does one board need?
Edited for punctuation.
My sleep has greatly regressed since I had kids. I remember this one time, when I didn't have kids, that Saturdays were for sleeping & then DH & I would go to this magical place that showed moving pictures with intriguing story lines. I forget what it was called...because its been so very long ago.

Haha. So true. We got a restaurant gift card for Christmas to a very nice steakhouse. I laughed inside and thought "well I wonder how long that'll be stuck to the side of the fridge". We like the ladies in the care room at the local Y and they do date nights twice a month. Thinking we might pay the $15 to drop her off for a few hours and actually get out of the house soon. Maybe.
DH is pressuring me to take down Christmas decorations and it's making me sad.
Nothing comes down until January 6th. The hubs doesn't even ask anymore. I'm going to get everything out of Christmas that I can and the season goes until Epiphany. It took the wise men 12 days to get to baby Jesus and we're going to keep our stuff up for those 12 days.
Can I AW the Duchess of Diapers here? I'm sure I just heard you all say a collective "YES! PLEASE DO!" Well, calm yourselves. Here we are yesterday at her baby dedication. You're welcome.

For our LO's ages? Might be a stupid question, but what about choking?

So LO has a bacterial eye infection and he's being a little trooper about it! Way more cuddly and sleepy, but still happy most of the time. I'm upset with SIL because I'm pretty sure he caught it from my niece over Christmas.
I'll explain a little: all of my inlaws went to my MIL and FIL's house for Xmas (all 27 of us in a very small house for 4-5 days). The day she was coming down with her DH and LO they called to say that she has a contagious eye infection, but they're coming anyways because she has drops and she won't be contagious in 24 hours-from that morning! So down they came and she never washed nieces hands after she rubbed her eyes unless someone told her to. I did my best to keep LO's toys away from her but couldn't 100% of the time. I know I'm overreacting because I don't believe you always need to keep a kid at home just because they have a cold, but we were all going to be there for 4-5 days, why not come after the 24 hour period? ( she would have arrived Christmas Eve morning). So all the kids are passing it around now and don't even get me started on the fact she had strep and came to visit without telling us til after she had played in lO's face thanks for letting me rant.

It amazes me how even when DH "takes over" in the morning, he still ends up sleeping on the couch while I wrangle the kids in the bedroom because he manages not to hear the baby fussing and has perfected the art of tuning out the 4 y/o.
I'm definitely going to try those when we get home @ghostof5letters DS is a July 21 baby but he is teething and super interested in food. We have already tested him on eggs and bananas.
I hope he loves it! Frozen or double toasted bagels are great too

Anyone else finding all the goals & resolutions for 2015 a little daunting? It's like, day 3, & I feel a little overwhelmed. I know in my mind that the trick is to put all the goals into bite sized achievable goals but daaaaang y'all....the struggle is getting real.
@lolasimonlove Bless you. I'm so sorry you guys are having such a rough time. I can't imagine. I'll pray for you tonight. For strength, comfort & wisdom. I'll also pray for a quick & full recovery for your DH.
Considering I'm still losing my hair thanks to post partum hormones, it's really unfair for LittleDude to be ripping out the remaining on the back of my neck. It's become his favorite handlebar.
@LolaSimonLove I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that and I hope things start to get easier for you! One of my parents friends had something similar happen to her. I think hers was a month or so that she all of a sudden had to recollection of. They didn't have many answers for her, either.
It's official, I'm now just running on fumes. DS sleeps like shit nowadays, my 17 month old still wakes up at night. I've gotten no sleep in the past two weeks. I'm a very patient person but right now I just want to curl up like a baby and cry. I know a lot of us don't get sleep, I just needed to vent a little. And for the love of baby Jesus, when is my 17 month old going to sleep through the night?????!!!!
My arm/wrist is throbbing with carpal tunnel. Where the hell did this come from? I blame my iPhone 6 since I hate it anyway.

@LolaSimonLove I'm keeping you and your DH in my thoughts. I can't imagine how hard that situation would be. I hope things return to normal soon or that you can at least find an acceptable new normal.

There was a guy at the gym today who had his shirt tucked into his tightie whities. #OnlyAtPlanetFitness #WishHashtagsWorkedHere
Would loved to have seen a picture of this haha.
I was sooooo close but there was no way I could take the picture without other people seeing me. No matter how much I pretended to be perplexed with my phone, I'm positive someone would have known what I was doing because everyone around the guy was gawking.

Can't lie ladies, I felt so metal. Especially getting him to giggle 15 seconds after that. This Mom stuff is sweet.
